"We recently had the pleasure of dining at Diwali on George Street, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Our group of five was promptly seated, and from the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with beautiful décor that sets the perfect tone for an evening of delicious Indian cuisine. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our meal. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes, and each of us found something to love. From the starters to the mains, every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The spices were well-balanced, and the portions were generous, leaving us fully satisfied by the end of our meal. The butter chicken, in particular, was a standout dish, rich and creamy, and the naan bread was some of the best we've had. Service was impeccable, with our server being both knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. The pacing of the meal was just right, allowing us to enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Overall, our experience at Diwali was nothing short of excellent. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend this restaurant. We left with happy hearts and full bellies, and we’ll definitely be returning for another great meal."

"Funny this place hasn't been noticed too much so far. The other restaurant perhaps it's branch on Ditchling road that has the same name has got nasty reviews, but this is for the one on Queen's Road near the station. It's only based...on one visit when I tried the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and Dry Ribs in Hot Chili Sauce. Both were very good i.e. soup was freshly made and tasted good especially with some chili sauce added, the ribs were very tasty although I'd like the ribs to be a notch spicier, but if you're not used to spicier food you might find it very hot. Szechuan cuisine can be very, very hot is quite a bit different from the Cantonese Chinese food that is more prevalent. Service can be slow if the there are say more than customers sitting in at the same time because it looks like they have only one Chef in the Kitchen. The good news is that he's from Szechuan. Staff are friendly and courteous so I had no issues. It was nice to see the owner's children and wife sit down and eat there at the restaurant although they were eating something that looked very healthy like raw vegetables that stew in a hot pot on the table stuff I generally avoid. Ambiance is basic with some nice red Chinese lamps hanging around, but I guess that's pretty typical of Chinese restaurants. Nothing to complain about. The food really was good and I'm giving them a on grounds of taste, freshness and pleasant staff. If you're fussy about speed then you may rate them differently. I paid about in total for my meal: NOTE boiled rice is extra and you may order as much as you can eat for and there is a service charge added to the bill. I did not drink anything since I generally prefer LOTS of tap water when I'm eating spicy food. Frankly, I'm very curious about why people order bottled water in a place like the UK where the tap water is most likely better."
