"Nouvelle Spice is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in New Cross. Their friendly service, large portions, and affordable prices make it a great dining spot. The food is delicious, with the chicken korma being sweet and creamy without being too rich, and the lamb dansak perfectly tangy. The peshwari naan is especially excellent, with a thick, doughy texture and a delicious golden filling topped with toasted sesame seeds. The prawn palak and bhindi bhaji dishes were also tasty, although the pilau rice was nothing special."

"I placed an order at7. 49 and the order was confirmed at 7.59 PM from just eat with expected delivery at 8:40PM. Called banana leaf at 8:50 PM and owner is busy explaining he only had 2 drivers. The food was not delived at 9:12 as I am reviewing and the owner calls back to say the driver was waiting for someone. He kindly asked me not to order when I reminded him the delay. First have more drivers and don't give silly reasons. Waiting for food in banana leaf is resurrection. Your services are terrible! I promise I wont order, I will also pass on the messsGe, please don't worry."

"Unfortunately our delivery took almost 2 hours to arrive last night despite being ordered at 18.50. They should have been honest and said they could not full fill the order as they were busy. The offer of a free popadom does not suffice. Very disappointing as it disrupted our evening. It’s great you’re busy however please look after your customers. I had paid in advance over the phone so not a lot I could do."

"I've been a couple of times and it really made an impression as I particularly wanted to return when I happened to be staying in Leeds with my family. The atmosphere is lovely with live piano music, spectacular views over the canal and large high ceilings and chandeliers. The service is a little chaotic with someone offering us drinks and as they leave the table someone else approaching us from another angle to offer us more drinks.
