"We had made a reservation a few days in advance, but when we arrived at the scheduled time with our guests, our table was not set up. However, the issue was quickly resolved and did not affect our overall dining experience. The restaurant offers a great variety of food options and styles, and the staff were knowledgeable in assisting us with our choices. The food was served hot and generously portioned, with well-balanced and perfectly spiced dishes. The Scallops Hariyali and Chilli Prawns starters were outstanding, and the Chicken Xacuti and Tandoori Sampler mains were especially noteworthy. Overall, all of our dishes were delicious. "We had booked a table a few days ago, but when we arrived at the time with our guests, it was not fixed. The problem was solved quickly and did not depart from an excellent dinner. The choice of dishes and styles here is excellent and the staff was able to help us in our decisions. When it arrived, the food was generous and well presented and hot (at temperature) and the various dishes were excellently spiced and well balanced – just what we expected. From the starters, the Scallops Hariyali and the Chilli Prawns were wonderful. Of the nets were the Chicken Xacuti and Tandoori Sampler of special touch, but our other appetizers and nets were all delicious. "I organized a group trip to visit kesar with the alexandra players from charlton and we had the fabulous evening. the personal was all brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a chicken tikka masala kokosnussreis and I would say it was definitiw one of the best I ever had. my only disappointment was that I didn't have space for dessert. I will soon have to try again! recommend to everyone to consider it."

"Living in France (for the time being) I crave authentic Indian food which is plentiful and varied in London where I have lived for 54 years. My son being at Glasgow University provides me with the excuse to travel North regularly and enjoy the huge diversity of restaurants that Glasgow offers. The Wee Curry Shop is simply sublime. The cooking is precise, the menu concise and the spicing as it should be! Small joint, only maybe thirty seats at a push which enables the very small kitchen to deliver great results. Halibut grilled with subtle spices and flavours was outstanding, the lamb with Fenugreek leaves was like nothing I had before and their butter chicken is just sooo yummy, one would have to eat it keeling down in reverence. In short, not one duff dish on the menu and more than fair bill. This place is packed and very much for the connoisseur. Highly recommended."

"I booked The Green Tree for my birthday celebration with my twin brother and family, and it was our first time there. The food was absolutely fantastic - the best Indian food I've had in a while. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and patient with us (there were 10 of us, including 3 children). Marisha, in particular, was professional, friendly, and made sure everyone got exactly what they had ordered. The whole family really enjoyed the experience. "My husband and I have had takeaways from Curry on the Curve many times and they're always delicious, so I decided to book him a cookery class with Anil for his birthday. It was even better than we expected! Anil showed us how to make onion bhajis, paneer tikka, roti breads, a mixed vegetable curry and pilau rice. On top of that, he was also extremely informative about how and when to use different spices, how to find the best and freshest ingredients and how to make your own paneer from scratch. The whole experience was really relaxed, enjoyable and interesting, and incredibly good value for money. Anil and Smita even sent us the recipes afterwards, so we could make the dishes we'd made together at home! Curry on the Curve is such a gem in the Newport food community and the absolute best place in the city for healthy, vegetarian Indian food. We'll be back for more again and again."

"I loved this place. Terrific curries (I had the chicken tikka masala, my brother in law a lamb rogan josh). We both agreed it was the best curry we'd had in a very long time, and I've been to some fancy and famous high price places. This was so reasonably priced and beat those other ones hands down. Oh and the crispy wings are to die for! The staff were brilliant too, so friendly. And I liked the way you're eating in a relaxed pub atmosphere, no fancy frills, just sheer quality and great value. "I then expressed that this was a racist remark, and I no longer wished to dine at their establishment. As we turned to leave, another staff member called out our surname and confirmed that we indeed had a reservation. Despite there being many empty tables available, we chose to walk away. I refuse to spend my hard-earned money at a place where I feel unwelcome. The incident overshadowed our evening, and it pained me to have to explain such blatant racism to my child, who was in shock over being denied entry. The entire exchange took place at the restaurant's entrance, with a staff member blocking the doorway. On our way home, we received a call from Viceroy asking us to return, stating that they had found our reservation. I reminded them that this was only discovered while we were standing outside. We asked whether, if we were a Caucasian family, we would have been told there was an African restaurant next door, and we knew the answer was no. They kept blaming the situation on their booking system and implored us to come back, but I made it clear that I would never give my money to a racist business. The manager claimed that he couldn't be racist because he had brown skin, but I pointed out that not once did he apologize for how we were treated. The night was ruined, and I am deeply hurt that this happened in front of my son."
