"We found the whole experience very strange and underwhelming. Let me start with the positives the food arrived piping hot and was properly home made. We have visited many Nepalese restaurants over the years, and have always loved their food, warm, friendly service, and the great pride they usually take in their culinary heritage. However this was not the case here. My initial brush with the “service” was when I used the online “Book a Table” form on their website. When I hadn’t received any confirmation two days later, we rang the restaurant, assuming they had not received my request. Turned out they had just hadn’t bothered replying. Anyway we arrived with high hopes. We wanted to try the specials as they are usually fantastic in a Nepalese. The first item on the menu was “Gurkha Rifle Curry” made with the “chef’s special sauce”. Intrigued we asked what was in the curry as there was no hint of the ingredients. The waiter replied “It’s a curry”. (Well obviously!! . Perplexed we tried again and received the same unhelpful reply. So we tried asking “is it perhaps tomato based for example?” The gentleman merely replied “no “. We were perplexed and surprised at the lack of pride in the food, and lack of interest in wanting to help us choose. We found the whole service throughout quite cold and distant. Another great indicator of the standard of any Indian restaurant is the popadoms! Unfortunately here they arrived cold and tasted stale, and served with three very uninspiring chutneys. We all took a stab in the dark and ordered different mains and sides but all five of us were left feeling rather disappointed. The icing on the cake was when my husband paid in cash, leaving a decent tip, and there was not a smile, or even a thank you. The man merely walked off counting the money and looking very grumpy . As this restaurant is close to where our friends live, we had hoped to become regulars. Unfortunately our experience here has ruled it out completely."

"We visited here while staying nearby the night before boarding a cruise. We’ve seen this building many times when here but never really considered it. However seeing the reviews on here we booked. Firstly I have to mention the staff. Lots of them and all so friendly and efficient. The menu choices are varied from simple curries to more elaborate dishes. My other half is vegetarian and he had plenty of options. He had a paneer curry as a side portion to start. This was delicious. A good sized portion, beautiful flavours and lots of paneer. I had Onion Bhaji. There were three large ones on the plate, light, crisp and probably the nicest Bhaji Ive had. Both starters had a fresh salad on the side. I had the Chilli Chicken for main and he had the aubergine and coconut curry. Both dishes were excellent. Both tasted unique with nicely balanced spicing. I avoided the whole chilli’s in mine and really enjoyed it. We shared a mushroom pilau and a peshwari naan, the latter was my other half’s highlight of the meal. We had some poppadoms as appetisers which were light and non greasy and came with free accompaniments which was nice. It was hard to resist filling up on these. Overall we agreed it was probably one of the best Indian meals we’ve had and will definitely be back."

"The food was quite good, tried the lamb biryani, chicken risala and the Dhaka deli special along with fish tikka and chicken garlic tikka as starters. The lamb biryani was ok, salan was nice. The Dhaka deli special was really nice. Must try. Limited selection of drinks. Atmosphere is quite nice, the place is clean and well kept. Prices are reasonable as well for the quantities given. The starters are small."

"Of all the Indian places in Dereham I only ever go to spice fusion (for takeaway or eat in . The food is absolutely delicious, there’s a huge variety among my personal favourites are the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, and the passanda (I don’t handle spice well! . The saag paneer is delicious too! My partner and I always get a biryani for the rice which again, is always full of flavour and very tasty. We either get a chicken tikka biryani or a vegetable biryani, both of which come with a vegetable curry but are always full of flavour, the meat is always tender and mouth wateringly good. I can’t sing their praises enough, if it’s delivery it always arrives fast and hot, the food I’ve never had any problems with (or any problems at all, for that matter , and the service and staff are always kind and polite. Spice fusion is my go to takeaway!"

"Absolutely brilliant dinner tonight. The reviews convinced us to give them a try and it's lived up to everything people said. The staff are polite and friendly, and even the condiments with the poppadoms are better than average. The chutney has a lovely sharp tang, the lime pickle has a lovely deep, complex warmth, where many are just hot, and I think the raita has more of a mix of herbs than the usual green minty yoghurt. Our main courses were lovely and fragrant, a nice earthiness to the tikka biryani, and the massala wasn't too sweet, as is often the case. And the naan was amazing. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal tonight, and the restaurant was comfortable and had a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely visit again another time we are staying in the area. The prices were a little more than our local, but for poppadoms, two mains, a side, a naan and two large cobras, it was £22 a head, which for the quality, pleasant atmosphere and great service, with enough leftovers to take home is more than worth it. Thank you all for a very enjoyable evening and a delicious meal."

"This was our first time eating here. It has good parking available outside, and a couple of good pubs nearby also. We were taken to our table , and the restaurant was already filling with other diners. There must have been at least 4 people serving and they were all very efficient. Our Poppadoms and drinks arrived very quickly. The poppadoms are a decent size and the pickle tray was really good. There was also some coconut in a separate dish, which was really tasty (if a little messy). A waiter then came and took our food orders and asked if we wanted another drink. The starters all looked fantastic, and silence fell as we ate. A short while later our mains all came out at the same time. With a resounding sizzle , so did my mixed grill. The table was laden with food which amazingly all got eaten. All the time we ate the different waiters were asking us if everyone was enjoying their food or needed drinks. It was good to see them greeting their regular customers, almost as old friends. The only downside is that the evening ended too soon. The waiters were so efficient that we'd finished within 2 hours. Absolutely nailed the service, guys!! We look forward to eating here again. Dietary restrictions: They have signs telling you to advise them of any dietary restrictions you have. Parking: We found 2 spots right outside. You may have to park further up the road when it's busy"

"In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in Brackley. The food is delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere inside is also excellent; we never feel crowded since there’s enough space between tables. Each time we've visited, it’s been a pleasant experience. "This was our second time dining at Mumbai Brasserie, and once again, we were very disappointed. The first time we ordered takeout, it took 2 hours and 45 minutes to arrive, despite living only 5 minutes away. To our dismay, we had to reheat everything in the oven before we could eat it because it was all cold. We attributed this to a busy night and decided to give them another chance by dining in. This time, we arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation, but were told our table would be ready in 10 minutes. However, after waiting for 30 minutes without any offer of a seat or drink, we realized that two other tables who had pre-booked were also waiting for over 35 minutes. Just when we were about to cancel our booking, a waiter from upstairs came down asking about the delayed food for his tables, who had been waiting for 40 minutes. This was the final straw for us, and we decided to give up on Mumbai Brasserie. We will not be returning due to the poor service and lack of organization."

"The carryout meal we ordered tonight was really disappointing. It arrived within 30 minutes, but unfortunately, it was not hot or fresh. The fish pakora was lukewarm, very salty, and only consisted of 5 pieces in a small greasy paper bag with a few bits of onion, without any salad. We also did not receive the extra sauce we had ordered. The popadoms tasted like they had been fried in rancid oil, but the spiced onions were lovely. Surprisingly, the garlic naan did not taste like garlic at all. The main courses and rice were decent, but overall, it was not worth the £40 we spent. We provided this feedback to the owner through their app, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again, nor would we recommend it to others."

"Very friendly and helpful staff, we were a large group so expected a long wait for food, which was understandable. My food was terrible quality and probably the worst curry I’ve had in a decade. The four pieces of garlic chilli chicken would have been useful as rubber door stops , the sauce was a bit like tomato soup with some mild chilli powder, no curry or garlic flavours whatsoever . "we have been for over 10 years clients of the tarleton tandoori and it regrets that I must leave such a negative assessment. we ordered a take-a-way with a few crooks and sides we're familiar with for a long time. they were of the worst quality and. the taste we've ever seen from this Indian take-a-way. both the lamb and the chicken were hard to cut with a knife and literally gum-like in the mouth. the reis was costed by a cheap sort and by wobbles. there was hardly any flavor in the dressed to give them taste and taste. I know we're on a lockdown, but for the facility to significantly increase their prices and then to approve the courts, is also out of line. this device will not survive long if it continues to go away. tarleton tandoori is now good and really from our lists."

"Pros: A hidden Nepalese restaurant that classify as Indian restaurant in mass market. Fresh quality food, attentive service. Non-greasy curry as it should be in Nepal. The Kathmandu Chicken gravy was finger-licking good (despite the fact that a single cube of chicken tikka was bit rare from inside and staff had apologised when drew attention) Cons: Portion size felt too small so ends up being pricey! The Google review mentioned toilets so spoke to manager who confirmed that being a leased site despite their wishes they can 't do anything about it so ignore that part and carry on currying !! Would I return back? Of course yes."

"I had dinner with an old family friend last night, and I was thoroughly impressed. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The curries were exceptional, especially the authentic dishes they offer, which are a refreshing change from the usual Indian fare. Each dish was well-seasoned—not too spicy—and bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were generous as well. Overall, it was a delightful meal, easily one of the best Indian dining experiences I've ever had. It’s such a great place; if I didn’t live 400 miles away, I would definitely return this weekend!"

"We have been visiting Bombay Palace for around 12 years and it has never failed to live up to the excellent rating I gave it back then. We have three children and, when we first visited, the youngest was 4 years old and was treated very well! I find the service level just perfect, there is always a waiter waiting for a nod of the head or a wave but never any pressure to finish and move on. The food is presented very well and is full of the flavours of different spices. There are many options including speciality dishes and the waiters are always there to give advice and appear to enjoy doing so. You would expect to pay far more for the quality of the food here, there is nothing that I can say that is negative and we will continue to visit on any special family occasion. Thank you and well done!"
