"Welcome to birmingham. Welcome to the bartons arms. Usually when I visit a pub, I take some quick photos of the pub sign and go inside. I didn't know where to show my camera. there was so much to inspire the eyes. the red brick building takes a large space on the corner of the high road in aston. When they look around outside, they remember to look up again. the beauty goes far beyond the second floor. the eyes sweetness go on when they enter. the deck is high. the middle piece is the fine rounded wood beam surface. the eyes are worn to the big staircase and glitter as they take the decorative percaline wall craft. Right is a beautiful bar from the 19th century. right is the restaurant that is designed from the original lounge area. the glass window at the far end of the restaurant is great. I sat at a table that was more used to putting a pint than a court. the service was attentive and accurate. I felt it could have been more relaxed, smiling to bring those warmth I enjoy. the food came quickly. the bartons arms offer great games for Thai cuisine. very tasteful. at midday an express dinner is offered. for £10.50 you can order a starter and main. excellent value for money. I could not argue about the quality of eating. I would like to see the courts differently presented. they leave the standard white crockery. what is with about 2 tons fine porcelain. try some variations on the presentation of eating. the bartons arms is a hidden gem in birmingham. a pub I would like to recommend to anyone who visits our humble city. the Thai food it offers is an excellent value for money. some food and service presentation tweaks would make the barton arms to the Thai restaurant of the choice in birmingham."

"First time at Sawadika having found online and picked due to good reviews. Dining area is clean and contemporary with plenty of Thai influence but not a super authentic set up. Plenty of space on tables and between diners. Staff were attentive and professional while being friendly and casual as you’d happen for with a good Thai place. The service was swift, the food was terrific and the restaurant made the setting for an enjoyable night. Prices are reasonable for London but are cheap for the quality of food you’re served. Would gladly go here again, and fully intend to do so."

"The restaurant offers a variety of sushi dishes that are above average for Munich, as well as Thai food. We ordered the lobster curry, which was mostly lychees with little lobster, and the Tom Kha Gai soup, which was missing lemongrass. The mixed starter plate was uninspired variations of fried chicken and shrimp with little flavor diversity. It's best to avoid sitting in the main area, which feels like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Despite requesting a nice corner table for a birthday celebration and following up with a phone call, we were seated in the center of the impersonal room. As a Munich local with nostalgic memories of the restaurant from the 90s, I feel that Mangostin has lost its charm and the food quality has declined over the years. The hostess was rude, but our waitress was excellent. Overall, the birthday celebration was disappointing and I do not plan on returning."

"We booked Thai Orchid for a family party of six adults before going on to a Concert. It was a Saturday during Celtic Connections so the Restaurant was very busy. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. We love Thai food and were impressed with the use of fresh herbs. We left very happy and in good time for our concert."

"I've given Naka Thai a 5 star rating for the food. It was absolutely delicious. The flavour and the rice was all absolutely spot on. However....... The waiting time was abhorrent. Horrific. I ordered at 1230 lunchtime and the food arrived at 2.20 mid afternoon!! The driver was lovely who delivered it and apologetic but it should not take that long to deliver the food. Next time I would collect my food, I'll never opt for delivery again."

I ordered the tofu seafood jjigae and beef bibimbap for me and had the most amazing meal I am a fan of Korean cuisine and eating in kinkao korea could not taste more authentic, homemade and tasty. the chef is really generous with the part of the seafood in the stew and the bibimbap had all the highlights of a stone pot bibibap! the fluffy short-grain rice was coupled with crispy pieces of burned rice (like the species as it should be and the sauce was made in the house and had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and sour. all the aromas of bibimbap came together harmoniously and it was the perfect antidote...read more"

"Decided to visit a Thai restaurant in Harpenden thanks to the recommendations of Thai cuisine people offered of this restaurant. Staff members are sympathetically talkative, attentive and, have a good understanding of individual cultures. The manager of the restaurant offers an organised customer service towards its booking system. He allowed us to walk in the restaurant without booking. But, unfortunately it is not a restaurant I would recommend to families with babies because it does not have a baby changing facilities. Without giving too much detail, have to say the food is takeaway style!"

"I ignored some warning signs: first, when they enter, they are hit with a kitchen odour. not tasty food smell, but the old oil smell. secondly, when they enter the restaurant, was almost absolutely full. normally a good sign, but could also mean too many, just like I followed HappyCow/TripAdvisor Yelp guide and the restaurant may not be able to handle crowds. third, after I checked the menu and ignored the first two warning signs, I ran after the waitress who said we were ready to order. I should have known now that they cannot accept orders in time, but that they do not get food quickly. the foods were heavy, not particularly good in taste and arrived 45 minutes after the order. I never realized that preparation of palak paneer and paneer makhani was so complicated."

"The crispy duck was delicious, but unfortunately, the main dish left much to be desired. The sweet and sour dish was not like anything I had tried before and was very watery. My friend ordered the chicken sweet and sour, but it also did not taste like the traditional dish and was runny. When we expressed our disappointment to the waitress, she simply apologized and handed us the bill. To make matters worse, when our main dishes were brought to the table, the sauce spilled over onto the table and we had to clean it up ourselves. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and do not plan on returning."

"Went for lunch and were the first to be seated. Around 10 minutes later other diners came, communicating in their first language with staff. We were sat waiting to order, no one came back. A young man came to ask if we wanted drinks, we said no and wanted to order food. He just left and didn't take our order as it wasn't his job. Sat there watching staff standing at the juice bar. Then the two diners who arrived after 10 minutes after is were served their food. All still while our order wasn't taken. We were contemplating leaving. A lady sent food back and new food was prepared before our order was even taken. The second time I've been to paste and I felt discriminated against on this occasion. People of the same nationality were served first. One diner finished their meal and we hadn't even had our order. I won't be going back. Shame the foods nice. Cheeky they included a tip on the bill, when we had extremely poor and bad service."

"Without a doubt, this is the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in the UK. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the lamb chops were exceptional. The Korean fried chicken wings were also bursting with flavor. I will definitely return to this place. "We decided to celebrate my son's birthday as we have been here before. Food is nice but service is terrible. We spent an hour waiting to order our 2nd starter and being serve. In fact, myself and family is waiting whilst writing this review. Everytime you get a staff to request to order, they refer us to a lady who just appears to be overwhelmed. I could.understand that the place is busy but why just limit the ordering to one person. This is a ploy to delay the food output. Bearing in mind that it is Sunday evwning, they should anticipate this possibility that it could be hectic. As much as i try to understand, this whole experience has taken it another level of wait all you can buffet. The mere fact that they have the audacity to ask us to move our table to accommodate another guest. I will never go back to this place. SO PEOPLE, IF YOU LIKE TO WAIT FOR YOUR MEAL, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. I would.never come.back to this place again."

"Delicious, totally underrated food. When I had my first tofu Pad Thai here, I was blown away. It was stunning. I remember trying the same dish at Wagamama a few weeks later and it being tasteless in comparison. Service is quick and cooked right in front of you. The ladies who work there are all very talented chefs and I want to say every time I'm there how much I enjoy it! Prices aren't the cheapest, but honestly, the quality is off the charts, so it's worth it. Not a wise choice if you're a strict vegetarian (though they can make accommodations), as they often use fish oil, but pescitarians like myself and meat eaters are fine."
