"The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. I arrived 10 minutes early to a lukewarm reception, and a surly waiter inquired about the arrival time of my friends (who were all punctual). Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, I had to request a drink three times before receiving it. To top it off, one of our main courses never made it to our table, and we were treated as if we had not even placed the order, despite the waiter having written it down and confirmed it. It took asking for the bill four times before we finally received it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we do not plan on returning. It's a shame, because the food is truly outstanding."

"Searched 5pm for somewhere to visit on a Saturday night before our show in the King's theatre. Friends have recommended here before the offer was 15% off a la catrte menu. The restaurant is so handy for central station the kings theatre is a short walk away. From when we arrived staff were so friendly attentive asked if we wanted our jackets hung up. We had prawn crackers satay dip while looking at the menu these alone were delicious. We shared the king prawn spring rolls because the satay dipping sauce was so tasty we had to try the chicken satay skewers with sauce. Then I had chicken jungle curry with coconut rice my friend had chicken nuts with paad Thai noodles. All excellent we will be returning again. Staff so lovely to all made an extra effort to ensure we enjoyed our evening. It is a lovely unpretentious setting with excellent food staff. Thank you"

"The restaurant offers a variety of sushi dishes that are above average for Munich, as well as Thai food. We ordered the lobster curry, which was mostly lychees with little lobster, and the Tom Kha Gai soup, which was missing lemongrass. The mixed starter plate was uninspired variations of fried chicken and shrimp with little flavor diversity. It's best to avoid sitting in the main area, which feels like an all-you-can-eat buffet. Despite requesting a nice corner table for a birthday celebration and following up with a phone call, we were seated in the center of the impersonal room. As a Munich local with nostalgic memories of the restaurant from the 90s, I feel that Mangostin has lost its charm and the food quality has declined over the years. The hostess was rude, but our waitress was excellent. Overall, the birthday celebration was disappointing and I do not plan on returning."

"We booked Thai Orchid for a family party of six adults before going on to a Concert. It was a Saturday during Celtic Connections so the Restaurant was very busy. "I've given Naka Thai a 5 star rating for the food. It was absolutely delicious. The flavour and the rice was all absolutely spot on. However....... The waiting time was abhorrent. Horrific. I ordered at 1230 lunchtime and the food arrived at 2.20 mid afternoon!! The driver was lovely who delivered it and apologetic but it should not take that long to deliver the food. Next time I would collect my food, I'll never opt for delivery again."

"I popped in here on a Saturday night without a booking and they managed to squeeze me in! What a delightful meal that I was treated to! Dumplings to start and then chicken Pad Thai with mains, aided with a beautifully cold Singha beer! A taste sensation! A great host, with prompt service; nothing was an issue and they gladly made recommendations to enhance the meal with extra sauces etc. This is a little gem on the high street, definitely a “must try” for those that like Thai food."

I ordered the tofu seafood jjigae and beef bibimbap for me and had the most amazing meal I am a fan of Korean cuisine and eating in kinkao korea could not taste more authentic, homemade and tasty. the chef is really generous with the part of the seafood in the stew and the bibimbap had all the highlights of a stone pot bibibap! the fluffy short-grain rice was coupled with crispy pieces of burned rice (like the species as it should be and the sauce was made in the house and had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and sour. all the aromas of bibimbap came together harmoniously and it was the perfect antidote...read more"

"I ignored some warning signs: first, when they enter, they are hit with a kitchen odour. not tasty food smell, but the old oil smell. secondly, when they enter the restaurant, was almost absolutely full. normally a good sign, but could also mean too many, just like I followed HappyCow/TripAdvisor Yelp guide and the restaurant may not be able to handle crowds. third, after I checked the menu and ignored the first two warning signs, I ran after the waitress who said we were ready to order. I should have known now that they cannot accept orders in time, but that they do not get food quickly. the foods were heavy, not particularly good in taste and arrived 45 minutes after the order. I never realized that preparation of palak paneer and paneer makhani was so complicated."

"there was a whole vegetarian menu that we were told was also usually vegan with a few taken out (e.g. when they ask the pad Thai to do it without a). the personal seemed completely glued when we explained that we were vegan and when I double checked, there was no fish sauce in the dressed that are so marked that they said there was no. we had dimmed to begin, followed by pad thai and massaman curry. the food was delicious, the service was good and the restaurant was spacious and airy."

"Went for lunch and were the first to be seated. Around 10 minutes later other diners came, communicating in their first language with staff. We were sat waiting to order, no one came back. A young man came to ask if we wanted drinks, we said no and wanted to order food. He just left and didn't take our order as it wasn't his job. Sat there watching staff standing at the juice bar. Then the two diners who arrived after 10 minutes after is were served their food. All still while our order wasn't taken. We were contemplating leaving. A lady sent food back and new food was prepared before our order was even taken. The second time I've been to paste and I felt discriminated against on this occasion. People of the same nationality were served first. One diner finished their meal and we hadn't even had our order. I won't be going back. Shame the foods nice. Cheeky they included a tip on the bill, when we had extremely poor and bad service."

"It could be better.. while booking i did mention it was for birthday. As we walked in they didnt ask anything just gave us the menu and sat us at the availalbe sit. Then i said i have a booking at 12.30 and was asked name of booking. I did’nt feel anything special even after mentioning it was a birthday lunch. After food was finished they came and took the plates, hubby went for toilet i told the waiter its my husband birthday to that i was replied ok nice, nothing else. "We decided to celebrate my son's birthday as we have been here before. Food is nice but service is terrible. We spent an hour waiting to order our 2nd starter and being serve. In fact, myself and family is waiting whilst writing this review. Everytime you get a staff to request to order, they refer us to a lady who just appears to be overwhelmed. I could.understand that the place is busy but why just limit the ordering to one person. This is a ploy to delay the food output. Bearing in mind that it is Sunday evwning, they should anticipate this possibility that it could be hectic. As much as i try to understand, this whole experience has taken it another level of wait all you can buffet. The mere fact that they have the audacity to ask us to move our table to accommodate another guest. I will never go back to this place. SO PEOPLE, IF YOU LIKE TO WAIT FOR YOUR MEAL, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. I would.never come.back to this place again."

"My partner and I fancied Thai food for a change and after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor I decided on khon Thai and from the moment I stepped up into this tiny establishment I just new I had made the right decision from the welcome I received and the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. My partner and I had a green curry with chicken, red curry with prawns and a massaman curry with beef and all I can say is that after the first bite I was instantly transported back 25 years to my first ever Thai curry in Bangkok. The food is quite simply delicious and now we have tasted this amazing food I know we will become regulars. 10 out of 10."
