"Beautiful interiors, great food menu. Unfortunately in our visit, we didn’t experience a great service level. There were only 3/4 other tables so it was very quiet. The staff didn’t seem very motivated or engaged in providing a good level of service very low energy. One dish was forgotten so one of our group had to wait while we ate our food two sides were also not made and we had to ask for them. I would visit again and hope for a better experience because the place itself is lovely and the food was great. It was really lacking in welcoming and friendly service. On another note, I would like to point out how dangerous it is to serve hot food and drinks when there is a baby in a highchair. On all occasions when food and drink was brought to the table the staff member leant over our baby with hot items we had to move the highchair out of the way. Instead, staff should be trained to give to the adults directly and avoid going over the head of a baby sitting at the end of the table. If an accident should occur due to carelessness like this it would be awful. It’s much easier and safer to give food and drink to the person directly at their seat. Please consider this!"

"Brera Riverside used to be a coffee bar which did snacks but after closing for some months it has re-opened as a restaurant, open til 8 weekdays and later on Saturdays. We used to love coming for coffee, especially as it had tables outside overlooking the river and we hope that we will be able to still do this when the weather warms up. Our food on 26 January was good rather than very good, and rather pricey for what was on offer (quite a limited menu of typical Italian fare. As someone who has to avoid gluten I struggled a bit. Service was very slow, we waited 45 minutes for the starters, which were both cold dishes. This is not really acceptable. However, we managed to order an aperitif and some wine before the place filled up and so had something to drink while we waited. Basically, they need more staff and we wondered if the kitchen is big enough for the number of covers. It was not full, and they were struggling. Would I go back? I think we'd give them another chance, as we live locally."

"We were at Six restaurant for a Hen's afternoon, there were 12 of us for afternoon tea. The ambience was lovely fresh and bright however the service was appalling. Although the staff were all really pleasant we had drinks missed from the order, we had to request a refill of tea 3 times, the food was a massive let down as all the reviews I had previously read were all glowing. Scones dry and hard, sandwiches under par, some of the cakes were nice and you could hardly make out the difference between the butter and the supposedly clotted cream. I don't usually make a bad review but would like to prevent someone else being as disappointed as we were. Sorry Six but you really need to up your game so that your food matches the criteria of your restaurant and written menu. We did complain and they did take 33% off the bill which was generous however we still paid in excess of £330 and it really was not worth it."

"amazing location on the river bank. they have to go in summer to get the full advantage of the view and exterior seating area. the ambiente and the mood were simply perfect .. very cozy at an icy cold evening! our waitress was so attentive and friendly, gave advice on what to choose from the menu and she also gave recommendations to our wine choice. eating was delicious and the right amount of the portion. I can highly recommend the cod and the desserts were amazing!"

"Rhubarb is our go-to stopping point when visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Set in the gorgeous Prestonfield House, even before you get to the beautifully decorated dining room, you are wandering around the beautifully landscaped gardens. Once inside, there is an a la carte menu of deliciousness, and during the Edinburgh Fringe, they have a three-course table d'hote menu, which never disappoints in terms of choice, value or quality. There are few restaurants we would return to time and time again, but Rhubarb is one we certainly will. "I suppose there are 5 stars in all. with good design and decorations, very nice personal and beautiful menus! Unfortunately, it was an annoying mosquito of lemon slices on the table dressed, and some unacceptable short-haired things that float on my wein. the dame gave me a new wee, as she might think I was using by telling her there is something in the weinglas. Finally it was a nice lunch next to the train station!"

"there are many great things about this restaurant and I'm not sure where to start. that is probably one of my best restaurants in Great Britain. not only eating is great, but also the architecture, the mood and service of this restaurant are simply excellent. each room has a very unique and beautiful furnishings. it was good that we decided to have a glass of wine in the first floor before we go to the dining room. it was right after the celebration of the East Bank, so I was told by a waiter that it was much more relaxed today. we then went into a dining room and got a place on the window. we could see beautiful nature with a beautiful ochsen. all waiters were friendly and welcoming. we had a cure for and we thought it was literally a bargain for such a great experience in the peculiar place and in it did a delicious meal. we will be here soon, hopefully we would like to stay in the hotel!"

"the group malmaison hotel has just launched its new sunday brunch menu “Mal am Sonntag” and will be available across all 12 of the groups boutique hotel chain. I ended up in the malmaison in barbican a hidden gem in a beautiful quiet part of this industrial area. the hotel in the interior is very modern, located in its boutique feel and oozes luxury. unfortunately we didn't stay here, but we went down to the restaurant. they call this new menu a brunch, but it's more of a banquet, I can't remember the last time that I ate this much in a session (not that I sit for two though I once). for £19.95 you will get the suppe of the day, hors d’oeuvres from the kitchen table, which is an upscale buffet style with unlimited visit very dangerous. and finally you dessert. for those with a kater they do a big **** mary, and also the champagne bellini was very well made. the suppe was mushroom and estragon, I always seemed"

"The evening could have been a disaster as the kitchen suddenly closed without warning without us having ordered. I had a train to catch in one hour's time, so was faced with the disappointment of not eating together with members of my family before the kitchen opened again. However the waiter who I spoke to rose to the occasion and prioritised our order when the kitchen opened again. My companions were given free desert to make up for the loss of service, though by then I had left. "Overall, we were disappointed. We could see that they were very busy, but the service was very slow, although friendly. Before the pandemic, we were ‘regalars’; the welcome was as good as before, but the food was not as good. The TigerPrawns were rubbery. The steak was good. The Sea Bass was good, but the portion size quite small. The Sticky toffee pud was excellent. The banana fritters (2) were no bigger than my thumb! …. and took 20 minutes to arrive! "I ordered the Full Vegan breakfast while my partner ordered the Vegan Stack. Unfortunately, both dishes were very dry and bland. The toast was not buttered and the portion of baked beans was too small to make the bread softer. The sausages were also dry and tasteless. "Steak as requested for my child's birthday lunch, asked for medium ribeye and filet, came out well done however, we were hungry so didn't debate over it. Chips were not homemade, they're frozen. We decided against desserts judging by the quality of food, and shocking prices of desserts. We visited close to lunch break closing time and waitresses disappeared, had to go hunting for someone to settle our bill, could have walked out but we are honest people. Any other customer wouldn't have been so polite about the overall service and dry steak. The toilets needs a good clean too."
