"Pre-marathon carb-loading meal so I needed it to be early (6.30 table) and not messed around by an incompetent waiter who lied about the reason for a 40+mins delay to serving our main courses. Food was functional at best. Disappointing evening, not worth the money. At least the poor service saved us the expense of dessert, more drinks and a tip. Freezing cold in there too. Much better when it was Auberge, not this soulless dump."

"I booked this for 20 people as a surprise for my sister in laws 40th, we are not from the area and the restaurant was extremely helpful. They asked us to pre order our food as there was lots of us, I explained that I couldn't ask my sister in law and family as it was a surprise they were fine and said they could order theirs on the night. We had to change the time as we were running late, again nothing was an issue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Really enjoyed our visit to Munch following the change in ownership and would highly recommend it based on our dining experience. Lovely staff, great service, warm atmosphere and a delicious meal. Though we only had chicken crunchies, burgers and fries everything was served served hot,...fresh and and to a very high standard. The burger was the best I’ve had in a very long time, the chicken crunchies superb and the accompanying salad and delicate dressing delicious. Will definitely be ordering a takeaway during lockdown and ask others to support so we can dine in again as and when they reopen. Nice one Munch, thanks!"

"My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time recently and were so impressed. AL the tapas we tried was delicious, we were really impressed with portion sizes as well. The staff couldn't' have been any friendlier and we got a free fruit bowl for dessert and two shots as well. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone wanting a nice meal out!"

But it's the service that makes the difference, the manager was exceptional spending time talking about other vegan establishments in Brighton and making us feel so welcome. "great food, great size of dishes, fast and courteous service. we were full and satisfied; I would recommend this place. I had a lamb moussaka while my friend had a grilled halloumi salat: both delicious; salat was warm a nice eating the “fork festival” offer included net, burger and chef specialties. it was good for us, as this is what we have come for, but if they were willing to start / desserts it would be full price. while we waited for the meal, we were served with olive and warm bread: we didn't wait long."

"The only issue we had was with the app, as it didn’t notify Zizzi that we were coming. However, Zizzi was fantastic and accommodating despite the mix-up and quickly got us another table. We weren't the first to experience this, and sadly, we won't be the last. If this continues, then there’s really no point in using a booking app that doesn’t handle reservations properly."

"My partner and I went to La Piazetta on a Friday night for his birthday as we both love Italian food and previously had very good experiences there, however something has gone seriously downhill in the past year as we have had two bad experiences there now! The first of these two experiences the service was great however the food was not up to standard of what we have had previously however it was a busy Saturday night so we put it down to it being busy and just agreed it was fine however the experience we had on Friday the 20th of October was extremely bad! My partner has also been recently diagnosed with gluten and dairy intolerance which was mentioned on the booking we made. My partner had the Gamberoni Piccanti and I had the Fungghi Gorgonzola as starters, my starter was very nice however my partners was not as he had a maximum of 4-5 Prawns which to be honest was not worth £9.95 at all! For mains my partner had a gluten free vegan pizza with roasted vegetables and I had the Linguini Marinara and we were not happy at all! The pizza was burnt on one side and very pasty to the taste on the other edge, with minimal pizza sauce, a small handful of vegan cheese, 1 tiny bit of pepper, 2 slices of masserated aubergine and 2 small slices of half grilled courgette! My linguini was a pale of what I had previously when I ordered this dish! I had several empty mussel shells, 2 pieces of Squid and Prawns, and about 3 clams, but when I had this dish before it had almost double the amount of everything and tasted fresh instead of a sauce that tasted premade and a brought in product with a handful of herbs chucked in. I don 't know if the chef has changed or if they have had to drastically cut costs or what I have no idea however I would not recommend this place to anyone where before I would go away ranting and raving about this restaurant! We also did not recieve a checkback once while we were there! Nobody came to ask about our food or if everything was okay, this to me is a bad sign in a restaurant seeing as I work in the industry myself and know how food service in restaurants works. When we spoke to one of the servers about the meal she said she would speak to her manager and she didn 't come back with a resolution to the problem she just gave us the bill with the pizza removed which I requested. I would not recommend this place to anyone as it is currently stands because it has certainly fallen from grace and I do not believe me and my partner will be returning."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"The menu at Zizzi is always great and the food is always well made, the Taunton restaurant is no exception and the service was excellent, our server even said they could get one dish made differently to suit a friends particular likes and dislikes. However there is a downside and that is the echoey interior, which is a shame because it is very stylish, but if you leave with a bit of a headache that soon ceases to matter. I admit that there was a particularly noisy table but I still see no reason why his sort of thing isn't expected and why there isn't more done to soften the effect of this for the comfort of all diners."
