"I loved this place. on Friday night at 6.30 a.m., a table stood up, although we had not booked. to make the dinge easy we had the set menu for 2 and it was excellent. hot fresh food purchased to the with little delay . can recommend the pinot noir that went down a tasty bite. we ended up with a tai-chee tea and though again delicious, but only too much. Perhaps a small cup would be sufficient, but not complaining. Finally, you can drink as much as you want. thanks to waiters who were attentive and informative."

"I saw this place in the Michelin guide and was so excited to try a Michelin-recommended Vietnamese. I love Vietnamese food, especially pho and summer rolls. Sadly this place had an extremely disappointing offering. The pho was astoundingly bland, the broth had dismally little flavour. The best pho I've ever had (outside of south-east Asia) was in the chain, Pho, which I honestly can't believe I'm writing. The summer rolls here was also really disappointing. The filling was so boring and the dipping sauce was no more interesting than a hoisin you can buy in a supermarket. Thankfully the prices weren't terrible here, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Maybe their non-vegetarian food is more flavoursome? I can't comment. But the things I tried were staggeringly bland. Sorry, Au Lac."

"We visited Newcastle for the first time and discovered this excellent little resteraunt, the staff welcomed us with a bow and a smile and they were very attentive without being fussy. The food was excellent I went for the Thai Fishcakes for starters and my wife went for the grilled prawns bothe were absolutley delicous, for my main course I opted for the Masamen curry whilst my wife went for a Spicey Thai red curry again both dishes were impresively presented and tasted fabulous. I have been to Thailand many times and this is one of the first times that I have found food this authentic and mouthwatering outside of that beautiful country, When I next come back to Newcastle I will be making a bee line for this place"

"Wanted to try new place off Sloane sq with local friends.. Enter through Boutique one (nicely presented) When arrived our booking hadn't been registered . We sat outside which looks delightful with lots of tree ferns palms however there isn't a good canopy for inclement weather as awnings aren't deep enough and umbrellas too small.. service was quite inattentive even when we told them not to forget us being outside when ordered they didn't get order correct. It seemed that whenever we looked at kitchen/ service area staff for attention they were talking to each other, even sitting down chatting.. Savoury scones were small dense plus took too long to arrive after drinks (the ones that did come).. Overall if they want to succeed with clientele in that demographic will have to do much better.."

"This restaurant is a hidden place. The staffs are friendly and fast. We were served by Diana who helped us choosing what to order. Drinks order was taken in moments. Food is tasty, well prepared and nice appearance. Server dropped by the table to make sure everything was good throughout the meal. Nice decor with a spacious group of tables."

"Il Tetto is a fun place to have a post-Christmas shopping meal it is located at the top of Selfridges but it has its heart in a festive ski cabin. Unfortunately the food doesn't quite live up to the surroundings I suspect you are paying more for the location than the food itself. On the night of our visit, the pizzas and pastas weren't available which meant that only the most expensive options were available. I'm sure that this was due to no fault of theirs but mentioning this to diners prior to seating them might have been a courtesy (I had to ask our waitress why the majority of the menu wasn't available). Also another bugbear: mixed drinks orders will automatically be served as a double (it'd be nice to be asked before being charged above the going rate for a G&T)."
