"We went for afternoon tea. The service was good, and there was a good quantity of sandwiches and scones, but the cakes were a little uninspiring. Even with a 241 offer, it still came to £70 for 2 with a glass of champagne. There are better teas for better value, and the surroundings, despite the live music (hidden behind a pillar for most diners) are not fantastic. It feels very much like the breakfast room in a corporate hotel, rather than a special afternoon treat place."

"Disappointingly average food and a confused main menu choices on a Sunday of roast dinners one last pink beef at 5pm that wasn't pink it was well done) and sandwiches and hot roast sandwiches with chips, special was lobster and was quite expensive for the quality. Also a bit eclectic in the interior design back to the 80's in the conservatory and a different style in the main room with a hotch potch of accessories in the mix. Overall just OK, better pubs nearby for a Sunday with friends."

"We went to the Orange Tree for a family lunch and with high expectations which were well met! My granddaughter at nearly 8 appreciated being given her own menu and treated beautifully and with just a hint of fun we asked for a mixed up sort of order all of which was delivered and I can only say perfect. Can’t wait to go back great atmosphere and team topped of the fantastic food. We will be back before you know it!"

"We were not impressed with The Herblist. The service was average and the chairs were extremely uncomfortable, causing discomfort to our legs. The menu was identical to The Potting Shed. I ordered the same meal as I did at The Potting Shed, but when it arrived at the table, I thought it was a mistake and they had served me a starter instead. I left feeling very hungry. Kudos to The Potting Shed for their larger and more satisfying meals. We will not be returning to The Herblist."

"I had another wonderful meal at the restaurant—this time, I enjoyed a Sunday roast. The beef was excellent, and the Yorkshire pudding was fantastic. They also offered a wide variety of delicious sweet potatoes. Although it could have been a bit crowded, overall, it was a great experience. The cheese plate was particularly exceptional!"

"Didn't have our booking on arrival as the employee who used the on line booking process wasn't at work at that point in time. One dinner was sent to wrong table and we only found that out when we asked. We had to wait for fresh meal and when it arrived the bacon was fatty. Service very slow. This was a disappointing evening especially as it was a family treat. We won't be returning."

"we often go through the station house, but we always have other plans, so we didn't have the chance to dive here until recently. for a Sunday afternoon it was calm and quiet. they love their structure, furnishings and ambiente. the pub is huge with many seating. we have a beautiful table quite close to the window, so an important part was sorted! I chose a chicken caabatta and the man went for a chicken Sunday roast. both were moist, juicy and delicious. we had a nice red wine to go with it. I think it was a cabernet sauvignon. the foods took quite long to make it on our table; unusual, even for the type of food we ordered. my opinion about the service is mixed. the man who served us for the majority of our time, there were boundless and annoying. we could not harass ourselves with the complaining wowish that we enjoy our weeping and the afternoon. the other person was nice and fun. such strong difference!Nice platz; will be there again only when I am close."

"This wasn't our first visit to Peachbaum. We have been regular guests for about 4 years now, so we have seen how this place has evolved. We used to go there every weekend, but unfortunately, in the last few months, we have stopped going altogether. The reason is the management. The owner needs to reconsider his approach to running the business, in my opinion. There is a constant turnover of staff, which is concerning. The food and products are still very good, but everything else is lacking. My advice to the owner would be to take care of your staff, retain them, make them happy and valued, and this will also reflect on the guests. You are losing customers because of your own actions."

"I ate here for the first time for Sunday lunch I have to say, my meal was really lovely (sea bream with couscous). It's quite pricey but if it's really tasty, then I don't mind. We used to come here for drinks regularly on a Monday night to be entirely honest, we had very poor experience from quite a number of the staff, pretty rude bored, unfriendly attitude.....not all, there were two young ladies 1 young man, who were very good we told them so, because it was such a refreshing change. However, I have to say, the staff on Sunday were really nice friendly attentive (as it should be)..... hopefully this shows a general improvement that may well be reflected on Monday nights now (we don't ever go on a Monday night now though, as we switched venues). So, note to management, keep good service up there as a priority. Your food is really good but without great service, customers don't feel so inclined to come back... keep up the good work"

"We came here to meet with the folks on our drive back to London from Cornwall so this was a pick out of a haystack. When we arrived there was no actual table reserved for us. We found a long table that wasn't in the comfortable dining area. This sort of suited us as we had our young baby with us but I would of been miffed if that wasn't the case. We ordered at the bar. The food was OK but nothing spectacular. Still gave us plenty of time to catch up even if the ambience in the area we were sat wasn't the best. Overall not bad but I wouldn't choose to return."

"We booked a table for a Sunday evening meal, the lady at the bar was very helpful and welcoming. The pub was fairly busy but the restaurant was quiet. The menu was a bit restricted for my wife who doesn't eat red meat, I should have checked before booking. No problem we found that the portions were very good and the food was very tasty. I had a steak, cooked perfectly and the chips were lovely. A minor point we prefer our chips to be to the side of the fish or meat not under it. They also keep a good pint, so will be happy to eat here again soon."

"The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic. However, the atmosphere was strange - despite it being peak holiday season, it felt deserted. When we stayed in February, it was very busy, so it was difficult to understand the lack of crowds. After lunch, we tried to book a stay in February 2024, only to be told that the hotel charged £50 per night for a small dog, which we found to be opportunistic and unfair. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, which is disappointing."
