"I absolutely love this cozy little restaurant! The prices are incredibly affordable. You have the option to dine in or take your meal to go. "This was my first time trying this restaurant. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. They had a delicious selection of ice cream and cheesecake, with a variety of options to choose from. The prices were reasonable. Plus, there is free parking on the road to the left for an hour, which is helpful if you're dining in or getting takeout - the takeaway box keeps your dessert intact."

"Visited this gorgeous place when passing by very reasonably priced, delicious, healthy, hearty meals prepared by friendly staff. We were eating in and it was so nice to have our meals beautifully presented on a plate. We had chicken wraps (with good portion of chicken and salad filling) decent portion of chips (crispy with skin on) and grilled corn on the cob (you get 2). Would definitely recommend and will be going back for more."

"Absolutely awful... we tried ordering through Deliveroo earlier today at 12:20pm and after no update on the order for 40 minutes, we called the restaurant to ask whether they got the order, to which they told us that the driver had just left to deliver our food. After nothing for 20 minutes (restaurant is 10 mins away, max), we called again only to be told they had never received our order. We ordered again at 1:30pm, from Just Eat this time, and waited until 2:35pm, no food. We called the restaurant again, to which we were hung up on, and when we called again at 2:50pm they told us that the driver had just left and would be 10 minutes. we waited another 25 minutes before the driver arrived, and when we checked the food, nothing was labelled (we ordered 5 wraps, so we had no idea whose was whose) and we were missing a bag of fries. Not to mention, after waiting for over an hour for the second order it was ice cold. In total we spent almost 3 hours to eat lunch, and were extremely disappointed."

"My son ordered telephonic 2 mix platter in 1 mix platter are 5x wings 5x chicken stripes for 2x £22.99. And 1 mega platter price is £37.99 I mega platter are 10 wings and 10 chicken stripes. The owner of peri peri was reluctant to charge 1 mega platter. Peri peri staff and owner are dishonest. We are permanent client but he doesn't care."

"I sought out Gem Fish Chips specifically because of the online fantastic reviews. I was so gutted when I rocked up on Tuesday night and they were closed. But, I rocked up again Wednesday evening and was so glad I did. Riva and Sean are so warm and welcoming. We had a lovely chat while Sean cooked the Cod and Chips to order. He even gave us a free tub of his new signature gluten free curry sauce to try! DIVINE. Everything was cooked to perfection. The batter was crispy but not too fatty. The fish was flaky and so tasty. The chips were amazing. We ordered medium portions and they were huge. We even had leftovers for the next day. Even the price was fantastic! £8 for a medium cod and chips! My advice is go try The Gem Fish and Chips in Falmouth but check when they are open!!"

"The burger meal offer at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, priced at £8. I opted to upgrade for a Budweiser for an extra £1, making the total cost £7. The bar is great and they have games consoles downstairs which adds to the overall experience. The only downside is that the retro games barrel needs some buttons fixing. Overall, the price per person ranges from £1 to £10, the food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5."

"This is OUR local pub when we visit York. Right near our apartment. What we love is that there are lots of regular locals in...a sign of a good pub...some have been drinking here for 40+ years. The last time we went in for an afternoon quick half...lets just say it was 10 pints each later...fab afternoon and lovely customers both regulars and tourists. Lovely bar area...with open fire when it 's chilly...very quaint and always customers in to have great conversation with. Lovely lounge area too...and upstairs is where they serve the food. We had a Sunday lunch which was awesome with a massive fresh yorshire pudding. We have been in on quiz night which was great fun...and a few times when they have had live music...which is a great atmosphere and gets everyone singing along. The staff are so polite...always smiling and so helpful and friendly too. Proper old traditional pub...great staff...great place. We will be back."

"We had booked a table for 9pm as we couldn't make it before then. We had been looking forward to a culinary treat with a nice bottle of wine after a busy week at work. It was Friday night but it was quite empty and there was no atmosphere at all. I ordered the seabass and my partner ordered the mixed kebab. The Food wasn't just overcooked, it was cremated. The rice was about the only palatable thing on the plate. As for Lebanese cuisine, that really is a stretch of the imagination. Even salt and pepper, let alone garlic and spices appeared to have been firmly banished from the kitchen. The cheapest house wine was nearly £20 a bottle and as the restaurant did not exactly inspire confidence, we gave that a miss. Service was OK, though once the food had been served, our waiter appeared more interested in chatting up a lone female customer who was sat at a table near ours. Basically, the food was bland, overcooked and poor value for money. I most definitely would not recommend it."

"The food was fantastic, but the service was quite slow, even though there was only one other table occupied. We ordered high tea and finished our basket of toast before our drinks were even served. The music was far too loud, with the speaker positioned right at our table. I requested the waitress to turn it down, but she said it wasn’t possible. I then asked to move to another table, which we did, but the waitress definitely seemed unhappy about the change."
