"I used to eat here a lot but the food has dropped in standard the double bacon cheese burger had salad which consisted of only lettuce and very little of that the mayonnaise looked like it had been scraped on with a butter knife to give you the least amount possible the burgers were pretty low quality and the bacon was overcooked it look nothing like the picture on the menu. My wife had the pasta which although she ate it all made her feel queasy for the rest of the night so Unless things improve drastically I won’t be eating there ever again it’s a shame because it used to be such a great place and the staff are really nice"

"I recently visited Frankie and bennys at the rock with my boyfriend. We couldn’t order on the app as it wasn’t working so the waitress was straight over and took our order. The starters come out pretty much straight away and were delicious! Garlic pizza...was worth it, however I got the Mac and cheese bites, and for the price of it you only get which I was slightly disappointed in. The mains took quite awhile to come out, but it was quite busy with the lunchtime rush, so didn’t mind waiting. I ordered the chicken Parma hero sub and it was honestly amazing!! recommend! Although don’t get a starter as it’s so big I couldn’t finish it, which I was upset about because it was so good! My boyfriend got the classic cheese burger, however it was very over cooked and didn’t taste very nice, looked like cheap quality meat. He hardly touched his meal which was a shame. Overall I was happy with the service and the meal, however don’t order the burger as you will be disappointed!"

"We took 2 grandchildren to lunch. The order was taken fairly quickly but the meal took a very long time to arrive. We waited for about 15 minutes for the table to be cleared after the main course, so we could order dessert. We gave up in the end and got the bill. It was impossible to attract their attention. I had to physically go up to the waitresses who were bunched together behind the bar after spending a great deal of time ignoring the other 3 tables. One woman loudly pleaded for her order to be taken. She also had waited an unreasonable length of time."

"Came to Frankie and Benny’s on Thursday evening with a friend. There was only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant and looking back it’s easy to see why! Signs on the tables suggested app service but when trying to use this and type in our table number, error message kept coming up saying there was no account open on our table. Waited another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our drinks order. After eventually ordering food, we waited around 10 minutes for starters. My friend said her potato skins tasted frozen and weren’t very nice, and my crispy squid was a soggy mess. For mains, my friend had chicken parmagiana which she said the pasta was bland and chicken was cold in the middle. I had carbonara and paid extra for chicken to be added as a topping. Well… ive had nicer carbonaras from the supermarket ready meal shelf. The whole dish was obviously from frozen, the chicken was diced into tiny cubes with a weird texture and the sauce was bland. Our onion rings and corn cobs that we ordered as sides were cold. We never received a checkback and even when the waiter (a young man who seemed like he didn’t have a clue) came to clear our full plates (we both left almost the entire meals) he didnt even ask if everything was okay or seem curious as to why we left the food. Paid the bill but will never return to frankie and bennys, we heard the table next to us complaining amongst themselves that the food was bad as well. Frankie and benny’s used to be a nice restaurant, always seemed to be fresh and was always busy. But now it’s a sad excuse for an italian american restaurant. The menu hosts some of the simplest things to cook (pasta, rice etc) but the chefs can’t even seem to do this from fresh. Two of the chefs, a man and woman were too busy canoodling and flirting in the kitchen to be cooking any food anyway. Absolutely awful and a total waste of time and money."

"My husband and I visited the restaurant today at 5pm and were seated promptly since it wasn't busy. However, we had to wait 10 minutes to place our order for two coffees and two waffles. It took 20 minutes for the coffee to arrive and another 35 minutes for the waffles. Despite the coffee being okay, the waffles were cold and extremely chewy. The dish consisted of three pieces of waffle, half a scoop of ice cream in a small bowl that only covered one section of waffle, and a small jug of syrup. We were truly disappointed with the quality of the food and felt like we should have lodged a complaint as we were unhappy with what we paid for. While waiting, I observed the chef slamming a plate down and leaving the order slip on top of the food for 8 minutes before a waitress took it away. We have visited Frankie and Benny's many times in the past and have always been satisfied, but this time we were very disappointed."

"had a nice late lunch, early dinner at frankie benny in gunwharf quays. harrison took care of us. very friendly and gave us additional time if I could not decide what to order. the best part was that he didn't come by and looked after us when we had full the month. that always brings me. "We absolutely loved our experience here! This was our first visit to a Frankie and Benny’s, and it definitely won't be our last. The service was excellent and incredibly fast—there was no waiting around or having to check on our orders. The food was simply amazing! My partner is quite picky about what he eats, but he had nothing but good things to say about it. I even managed to take a few photos of our meals (some partially eaten, haha). We used a Groupon voucher, which made for a smooth transaction—it didn’t disrupt our experience at all. It was worth every penny! Just a note, drinks were a bit pricey, but on the bright side, kids eat free, and my daughters loved that!"

"We took our granddaughter to the movies over the weekend and decided to treat ourselves to dinner as well. This restaurant is conveniently located just 100 meters from the cinema with plenty of parking available in the evening at The Crumbles. We hadn't dined here in a few years, but decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation for a table after the movie and were warmly greeted upon our return. Despite being busy, we were seated promptly and presented with the menu. Our drinks took a little while to arrive, but we were not forgotten, as the staff was attentive and friendly. Our granddaughter enjoyed her child's meal, especially the free squishy toy that came with it. Our burgers were delicious and well-prepared, served with fresh fries and high-quality burger sauce on brioche rolls. The restaurant was clean and well-furnished, with friendly staff who checked on us multiple times during our meal. The toilets were also very clean and accessible. With ample parking and easy access for disabled patrons, this restaurant is a great choice for those visiting the cinema, harbour, or nearby shops. We would definitely dine here again."

"It was my Granddaughter's birthday on the 11th and 6 of us were going for dinner, 3 Adults and 3 children. Our server was Ellen and she just couldn't do enough for us and very helpful with the girls choice of menu, nothing was a bother for her with 3 very excited girls. They even made my Granddaughters birthday for her when they brought her cake out and played Happy Birthday for her. "I made a reservation for a table for 8 people at 6:15 through OpenTable, but when I arrived, they had not received my booking, which was not my error but an OpenTable mistake. We had to wait until 6:45 for the next available table, which was only designed for 6 people. After I asked about our order, we were finally served our food at 7:30. By then, my hungry and hyper 3-year-old son was running around the restaurant. The 7 burgers, buns, and onion rings we ordered were cold and tasteless, with soggy bases, but the fries were very hot. We also had to wait again for the children's desserts, which was ice cream. We had to ask for our bill and ended up leaving disappointed with a group of bored children who had been sitting at a small table for too long and given poor quality food. Spending £105 for the worst evening out in a long time is not something I would recommend or repeat."

"We celebrated our anniversary with a meal in Lancaster, and we were not disappointed. To be honest, we usually visit Frankie and Benny's every week for our indulgent meals since it’s our local spot. I was sad that I couldn't finish my meal because it was such a large portion, but we both enjoyed our dishes. For dessert, they initially brought the wrong item for my partner, but they quickly corrected it. "Prebooked a table for people. We were crammed on a person table if that despite the restaurant being practically empty with much bigger tables. It was clear we were struggling and not once were we offered the chance to move. We had to...call someone over to take our drinks order. She didn’t come to take the order for at least minutes after saying she was coming then one drink never turned up so after about minutes of waiting we had to ask for it again. The food arrived at the same time which was good but unfortunately nobody had cleared our salad bowls so we couldn’t fit the mains on properly and some plates were practically bare. There was only a quarter of rotisserie chicken left when we ordered so we had to swap to a chicken breast which was ok but when a lot of the food is fatty and the ribs are undercooked without the bbq sauce on at all like stated on the menu that isn’t acceptable. It was very clear the staff were keeping the guests in one area of the restaurant for their convenience but it backfired when someone from the door marked ‘Private’ shouted something so loudly every guest turned and looked in shock. There was no explanation or apology. The staff just came out one by one smiling and laughing after they’d all rushed through to the back to see what was going on. Very unprofessional! It’s my first time visiting Wales and I’d had this Harvester recommended to me but I’ll never go back to it no matter how many times I visit in the future!"
