"The Grand was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Mariana, who handled our booking, went above and beyond to meet our requirements. On the day we visited, Romana took care of our large group of 20 girls, and everything was perfect. I can't praise Romana enough; she was the best hostess we could have asked for. She managed everything flawlessly, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!"

"Very poor service, lack of cleanliness of the place, our table was really dirty and there was not intention to keep it clean for customers. I was disappointed this time. We wanted to celebrate with my family an special occasion, sadly either the staff was tired or they didn’t make an effort to even take an order from my teenager nephew and he was ignored. It’s not difficult to make people feel welcome to a place where we come often, at least before this experience. What a pity to have a good product but to loose customers because of staff attitude and lack of cleanliness."

"The food was great (had a very lovely afternoon tea) but unfortunately the service was poor; although polite when speaking to us the service staff pretty much ignored us once we had ordered our food. My friend and I wanted to order another hot drink but had to wait 45 minutes for someone to take our order (despite attempting to get someone’s attention several times) and then again when wanting to get the bill it took standing up and putting our coats on after another long time waiting (and asking several people) to actually get the bill. I want to blame it on how busy the restaurant was however we saw several tables around us come and go in the time we were there."

"We have visited Crepe Affaire in St Albans for breakfast several times. The food is always delicious and some of the best crepes we've had. The kids enjoy the chocolate and banana crepes, while my partner and I always opt for the vegan crepes with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, and tomato, which are absolutely fantastic! We really enjoy dining here."

"Firstly let me say the front of house staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately that is where the great service ends. We booked for the Sunday roast but we were only given the main menu. After sitting trying to get someone’s attention for over 30 minutes we decided to just look up the menu online. Finally managed to flag someone down for service and ordered a starter, beef roast and a drink each beer and a wine) . Starter arrived 15 mins later but still no drinks. Finished the starter and had to get up to find a member of staff for our drinks. Really poor service from the wait staff. We ordered cauliflower cheese on the side which arrived 10 minutes before the actual roast. The food was delicious and one of the best roasts in the area but the service for the price was terrible."

"On an afternoon wandering the West End, French Bubbles bistro Champagne Fromage catch's Hazel Nevard's eye, so much so that she has to head back to experience it from the inside. On leaving One Aldwych with my business partner and having enjoyed a couple of G&Ts and a convivial meeting with a banking friend, we turned the corner into Wellington St and my eye was immediately drawn to an elegant window, where inside a table laden with cheeses and champagne bottles beckoned. This looked like somewhere to disappear for an afternoon but on that day it was out of the question. I was called away, not quite dragged but I had already thought I would like this place. I was left with a lovely...read more"

"I have noticed Boydens while passing by many times and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located in a slightly off-the-beaten-path area, but I have always been curious about it."

"we are and we are very politely welcomed and led to our table. available drinks and menus. we had organized a afternoon and everything was totally delicious. found we needed more sandwiches so ordered more that we had to pay for separately. we had to drink another tea. the ambiente des ortes was quiet and very beautifully decorated. our only disappointment was that for all five adults our table area was limited and we really needed a third table for extreme comfort. thanks for the experience."

"Was hoping to find a nice cheese fondue place. The food was good not great, Ive had better and the melted cheese was cold on arrival had to send back. Unfortunately we couldn’t get red wine by the glass which was my preference on a cold night. Champagne doesn’t have the same effect. There were also strict rules on ordering before 8:30pm, so before finishing our main were being asked to order if we wanted anything else, and if we did to order it immediately as the kitchen would be closing. In general, we had a nice time but there was nothing the stood out about the experience, was all just ok and cost more than £60 for 2 drinks and a shared cheese dish. I would also prefer to have service not added to the bill unless asked, this is my viewpoint on all restaurants that automatically include it. It should be discretionary based on service, not an expectation added to the bill. Not planning a return visit."

"from the outside to the inside, this restaurant appears quite inconceivable, but do not let it stand out! once in the facility is quirky but characterful and has the personal note of an independent company. the concept of cheese and champagne that compose each other was fascinating and we thought we should try out the argumentation! champagner and cheese and meat sharing plate excellent. tapas and sparkling rose excellent. great service. and the most unusual garderobs we have experienced, they need to visit to find out!"

"The restaurant was quite quiet, all the others eating there left half way through our meal. We were mostly left alone once the food arrived. After we had finished we waited in vain for staff to clear up and offer dessert or coffee. So after approx 15 mins we asked for the bill and left. Only then did we have a conversation. The food was ok, nicely cooked squid and duck. It was a very small tapas menu and if you have a fussy enough partner finding dishes without his dislikes was difficult. We felt the staff could have been more attentive and felt the food choice limited and over priced, but then this is Bath!"

"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! We decided to try it out after not being able to go to our usual spot. The atmosphere was lovely, and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine along with a wonderful coffee. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We're definitely looking forward to coming back for breakfast very soon!"

"Booked a table for a rare night out as a group of four. One other group of four were the only other customers. Wine order taken reasonable promptly followed by our food order. 40 mins later had to go ask for some more wine as hadn’t been checked on once since. After another 25 minutes some of our food arrived but not all. The salads arrived with no dressing so we asked for some. I was offered mayo or pesto dressing for a nicoise but specifically asked for a French dressing. Some more food arrived followed by some pesto dressing when I reasked for a french dressing was asked what that was?! Brought out some oil balsamic. A fellow diner’s duck was tough served with cold potatoes so that was sent back and a soup reordered in the hope it would be quick, it wasn’t. The other table of customers also had issues, notably ordering sea bass fillets being brought out a whole fish. Instead of the chef taking it off the bone for her they made her order something else crazy waste of food. The waitress seemed to have limited authority when we asked to speak to someone else was told the chef couldn’t speak any English. She was understandably upset at neither set of customers being happy whilst she wasn’t the most attentive waitress I did feel for her being left with out the training or skills to deal with things. How can a restaurant with the capability to seat about 30 not cope with 8 diners? She did ring the owners who were going to come but a little later we were told they couldn’t make it. We paid for the two bottles of wine left disappointed not to return."

"Excellent afternoon tea at a great price in a beautiful dining room. The atmosphere was peaceful, which was understandable given the emptiness of London at the time."

"If you're looking for super posh, it's not. But if you are looking for delicious homemade sandwiches, scones, cakes and desserts with all the extras and a smiling staff, this is a beautiful place. They built a beautiful corner of the garden for us then unfortunately began a light rain for only an hour, so we moved in. The Claremont is a small inn but a very noble small place. You can be the only one reserved for tea this day, but they still care about preparation and baking."

"The food here is truly fantastic, and it's a delightful twist on the traditional afternoon tea! As vegetarians, we were pleased to find a variety of delicious options available. The atmosphere was charming, and the service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend this place! My only suggestion is that, as it's an Indian afternoon tea, I was a bit disappointed there wasn't authentic masala chai served. I hope that during our next visit, we can enjoy properly brewed desi masala chai—it would make the experience absolutely perfect!"
