"We ordered takeaway online and had to select a delivery time slot, the slot we selected was over an hour away from the time we placed the order. When the delivery was 20 minutes past the end of the half hour slot we had selected I rang to enquire about it to get a very gruff, it 's on it 's way, no apology for the lateness or anything. It arrived and we unpacked it to find an item missing so I called back and again no apology or anything just said they would come back with it, I said by the time it gets here the rest of the food will be cold to be told that curry doesn 't get cold that quick I said it does when it doesn 't start particularly hot. The missing dish did arrive but the whole lot was inedible due to being cold. I understand mistakes get made so my issue is more with their attitude toward me. We certainly wont bother with these again."

"the hotel is located in the center of glasgow city and close to the university strathclyde and city of glasgow college city campus, where the students can enjoy the services up to 9 clock at the weekend, where the libraries closed around 6 or sometimes closed. there have been really very good services and a simple app to order exactly where they need to sit they don't stand and wait for wait. there are outdoor seats where you can enjoy the weather when it is sunny and cloudy or just in the 1st floor where it is quite and pleasant for studying. good food for all meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. for dessert to go for pancakes or waffeln with nutella n bananenscheibe."

"This restaurant never fails! It is an amazing place for dinner and one of my all time favourite places to eat in Aberdeen. It was my boyfriend's birthday and the restaurant went above and beyond with their service, hospitality and extras without being asked. "Thank you Melanie Phillips for your review of this establishment. My family are booking purely on the back of this review. It's about time restaurants took a stand on allowing dogs in. It is unhygienic and some people even lift them up to the table gross habit. There should only be officially registered guide dogs allowed in restaurants. I understand during the day some cafes bending the rules but surely dogs can be left a short time while you eat a lovely meal without dog hair. "Poor customer service at this restaurant! We ordered a mild aloo balti (among other items) to say goodbye, but when the food arrived, the balti was full of cream and the potatoes were green! When I called to complain, I was told that it was my own fault for requesting the balti to be mild because the only way to make it mild is with cream. I have had mild baltis at many other restaurants and never received a dish with cream before. I asked for a replacement dish but was informed that the delivery driver had already left. There was no apology for the unsatisfactory meal and I was left without dinner, despite paying £20. Disappointing experience at this establishment."

"We went to this pretty traditional Indian restaurant with a good friend to visit London. We chose the menu for two for £27. For that price you have onion bhajis, then a chicken tika masala and chicken curry with a side of sag aloo goa. We ordered an extra portion of taka dal. The sag aloo dal and had a good taste but the curry was quite sosa and I'm not sure they were just made. The service seemed a little ropy sometimes too much, especially when one of the waiters connected to my friend as he finished his start. I had the general feeling that the waiters were more interested in ensuring the orderly development of liquidating tables of the comfort of their comensals. In general, the quality of the food does not reach the cost that ended up being 60 pounds for two with wine. There are certainly other Indian restaurants in the Notting Hill and Bayswater area as they deserve our best."

"Food was fab! Couldn't fault it. The prawns I highly recommend, however are very pricey for 2. The lamb starter also very good. We shared a nan, mushroom rice and a Dahl with the two starters and it was absolutely delicious! The Dahl was probably the best we've ever tasted! The only problem is that the restaurant sits under a club, so if you go later in the evening you will hear the bass and music from the club. So if this will be an issue for you, avoid going later in the evening. Apart from that, we couldn't fault it. Good choice if cocktails and wine.l, but again pricey. But all a good standard. Service great. Everyone was very helpful and attentive."

"I tried the Sunday buffet, and I have to say, it was quite disappointing. The absence of properly set tables made the place feel closed down. The food was displayed in small heated servers, and the descriptions for the curries were written on star-shaped card cutouts with a felt pen, which didn't inspire much confidence. I ordered chapatis, but they never arrived. While the food itself tasted good, we couldn’t wait to leave. I would consider ordering takeaway from here to enjoy at home, as that would likely provide a much better experience. However, I wouldn't book a table to dine in again, especially when there are so many fantastic restaurants in the area with a great atmosphere. The owners need to put in more effort if they want this place to be more than just a takeaway spot."

"Excellent food!! Came here my first day in London and definitely want to go back. Got the “Roman artichokes” which came with crispy herb polenta, aioli, soft herbs, radish and broad beans. So so good. The polenta was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. (However don’t be fooled since I think it was plain polenta not herb polenta Loved the aioli that went with it I could eat just that and the polenta on its own!! Didn’t like the herbs so much but that’s more of a personal taste. One of the summer specials was the “Baja banana blossom tacos” with tempura nori batter, blue corn tortillas, mango salsa, pineapple ketchup. Loved this as well. I was definitely wowed by tempura banana blossoms, although could have done with a little less tempura batter. The pineapple ketchup was sooooo good too and really balanced the heat from the salsa. For dessert I got the caramel cheesecake with blackberry coulis and salted caramel popcorn. I’m still dreaming about this! The cheesecake was so creamy and smooth. Wasn’t too sweet either."

"We just called in for a drink, you order at the counter and bring them to the table yourself, my Brother and his partner both had Latte's, i had a Mocha, when my brothers partner got to the table she told me which was mine, or which should have been mine, but they all looked the same, and all tasted the same, which was a shame as i was looking forward to the Mocha, plus the Latte's didn't taste like Latte's either. it was only looking at other reviews on here that i found out the staff are volunteers, they could do with a bit of training for the differant coffee's on offer. apart from that, the place is nice and clean, and the staff seem very friendly"

"I recently came back from a weekend getaway where I spent two nights at the Crown and Victoria Inn with my wife and friends. I have to say, the hospitality we experienced from the moment we arrived until we departed was exceptional. The owner, Surinder, gave us a warm welcome which made us feel right at home immediately. Our room was stylish and well-decorated, and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave in the morning. We enjoyed a drink in the large, modern lounge with a cozy log fire before our evening meal, which was very relaxing. Surinder had sent us the menu in advance, so we didn't have to spend much time deciding on our choices. The chef, Surinder's daughter Safia, prepared amazing food, and her son Arun served us at the table. I especially loved the Tamarind chicken I ordered, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips. The continental breakfast was plentiful with fruits, croissants, and cereal. We highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be returning in the future."

"We were a group of five at Amber. We ordered 4 chicken dishes and 1 vegetarian dish. After the food arrived, my girlfriend and I (who had ordered the same dish) noticed that we were served fish instead of chicken. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he adamantly denied it and said that the chicken had been grilled beforehand, which may have altered the taste. When I asked him to try the chicken meat (which was translucent and did not have the texture of meat), he said he didn't need to because it was chicken. Besides the fact that it smelled strongly of fish, I found this to be unprofessional.. very disappointing. The others at my table who also ordered chicken dishes did not experience this issue, and the comparison of their dishes confirmed it. I can recommend the naan bread and the ambiance, but I will not be returning to the restaurant as I expected at least some sort of acknowledgement, especially since I returned the dish almost untouched."
