"As a regular customer of rhubarb I was extremely upset to of received such shocking customer service this morning. Myself an partner came for breakfast at 9am and firstly ordered a coffee whilst taking an important phone call we both needed to listen to and so placed the call on speaker as there was not one other person in the building other than the member of staff that greeted us we did not see this as a problem. Throughout the call we were asked 3 times if we were eating and what we wanted to which we replied we were not yet ready to order. Shortly after the member of staff asked us very abruptly to switch off the speaker, to which my partner replied for whom exactly? (As we were the only people there and the music was blaring we could hardly hear ourselves think). She then replied for me!! Shocked at this we decided not to stay for breakfast and instead go down the road to milo (which was lovely and could not fault service). As we paid for our coffees i said to the woman she was in the wrong line of work as she didn’t offer good customer service to which she replied take you private phone calls somewhere else! In shock at how she spoke to us my partner said we would be leaving a review to which she replied she could not wait to read it and shoved us out the door. Not quite sure what the attitude or problem was for maybe woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but said to say will not be returning again and I will look forward to speaking directly with the owner myself."

"if they think of iconic institutions in london, the ivy is second to none; periode. embedded in a quiet corner of the covent garden, it serves and delights londons westward since 1916. Exactly, 1916! to put this in perspective, since the call of the service on its first teller, Great Britain has seen 4 monarchs, 23 minister presidents and the top film was 20,000 ligas under the sea '. It is certainly the case that each court is served with a side of the story and to enter into its stolen dining room is like a step back in the time that is just stunning. modernizes but still keep all the classic decoration accumulated over the decades; and the menu has also followed suit. in the connection to the footsteps of so many before us, we visited the ivy in this night for a late dinner after the conclusion of a show that starts for a meal with popcorn shrimp then on the nets of spaghetti with atlantic prawns, chili and wild garlic and the grilled thunfish. as they would expect, eating was divine and lived up to his call. the popcorn garnels were so addicted, I could have eaten again and again that all night, although it would have been a scandal to pamper my appetit in front of the tuna that was excellent. the spaghetti, as simple as it sounds, was romantic in its simpleness and so fragrant; I'd like to eat it again. to round the food was a classic dessert from apfelteertetin; a befitting ended with a classic evening. if you were with the ivy, I hope you agree with me that this place must be one. it is now an institution and so much more than a meal; it's an experience."
