"if they think of iconic institutions in london, the ivy is second to none; periode. embedded in a quiet corner of the covent garden, it serves and delights londons westward since 1916. Exactly, 1916! to put this in perspective, since the call of the service on its first teller, Great Britain has seen 4 monarchs, 23 minister presidents and the top film was 20,000 ligas under the sea '. It is certainly the case that each court is served with a side of the story and to enter into its stolen dining room is like a step back in the time that is just stunning. modernizes but still keep all the classic decoration accumulated over the decades; and the menu has also followed suit. in the connection to the footsteps of so many before us, we visited the ivy in this night for a late dinner after the conclusion of a show that starts for a meal with popcorn shrimp then on the nets of spaghetti with atlantic prawns, chili and wild garlic and the grilled thunfish. as they would expect, eating was divine and lived up to his call. the popcorn garnels were so addicted, I could have eaten again and again that all night, although it would have been a scandal to pamper my appetit in front of the tuna that was excellent. the spaghetti, as simple as it sounds, was romantic in its simpleness and so fragrant; I'd like to eat it again. to round the food was a classic dessert from apfelteertetin; a befitting ended with a classic evening. if you were with the ivy, I hope you agree with me that this place must be one. it is now an institution and so much more than a meal; it's an experience."

I would rate this restaurant around 3.5 out of 5. The food is nice and the atmosphere is great, but it is a bit on the pricier side. They have about four options for vegan main courses.

make sure to ask for a vegan menu. I had the green soup followed by the Quinoa salad (with a side of chips! . nice platelet and delicious eating. could do with vegan main dishes and desserts, but they make steps in the right direction. we sat in the garden terrace from the back that was much quieter and felt rather lonely and intimate. excellent service by friendly and attentive employees.

Don't forget to request a vegan menu when dining here. I started with the green pea soup and then enjoyed the quinoa salad with a side of chips. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. While there could be more vegan options for main courses and desserts, the restaurant is making progress in the right direction. We opted to sit in the garden terrace at the back, which was peaceful, quiet, and felt more private. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff.

I remember eating back here a few months when I was just new in town. I really enjoyed the ambiente and the inner restaurants. the service was phenomenal, the employees were very attentive to our needs. Of course, we only had to have the fish and chips that were really good. I felt a little under the weather then, so I have an English breakfast tee and tomato soup that really suffocated my need for hot meal. also ordered the philly cheese steak, the meat was good, but the brot was just a little dry for me.

this is not the first time we visited the ivy in kensington, but if it was, then we would certainly not go again. the personal seemed completely uninterested bar a smile happy waiter (not our) from the moment we entered and the personal greets them at the door, everything seemed bad and uninterested. I think it says a lot about the experience on Sunday that if a diners teller a considerable amount of food left on him at the survey, not a single question is asked when everything was in order. we will go again, but as above, because we have experienced the ivy before, and we hope that this is off and not the norm.
