"The pros: We were there for dim sum/lunch. The food is excellent, clean, fresh. The char siu baos were meh. We loved the spicy jellyfish, salted egg yolk okra, crepes, custard bao, Singapore rice noodle. Everything else was great. We came right as they opened and they were able to accommodate us even though we were 20 min early. The cons: The hospitality/service is a little lacking for a Michelin star restaurant. I inquired about having a baby join and the person managing reservations answered that they didn’t recommend children under 5. I asked if we should not come then if children weren’t welcome. (I wasn’t being facetious, I was earnest. Then they changed their tune to say all were welcome. The staff needed to warm up a bit also when we asked if they had a recommendation on how many dim sum or dishes they would generally recommended. Most restaurants give you a starting point. It’s good but the service takes it from being 1 star to .5 star erring on bib gourmand."

"We had a very positive experience until the last half hour. The food was delicious and the service was attentive at the beginning, but once we’d finished our main courses it all started unravelling. For a restaurant this expensive, I’d expect them to clean the table properly before desserts, but there was still bits of rice everywhere when they handed over the dessert menu only one for five of us. The dessert menu was tiny only three options) and I got the distinct impression that they didn’t want us to stay for pudding at all they wanted us to leave so they could get someone else in and flog them some cocktails and a peking duck £110 for a whole one). As it was a special occasion we decided to have pudding anyway, but one pudding was missing and we were still eating when they brought the bill. It was my husband’s birthday and I saw other tables being brought special birthday desserts and we were not even though I had noted that we were there for a birthday celebration on the booking. When we finally got the special pudding it was swept away from us while we were still eating it and I had to ask for it to be returned. I get that they have a time limit on tables. If a restaurant can serve me a three course meal in a seamless relaxed way in two hours then that’s fine, but Hutong proved that they couldn’t. When the bill was almost £600 it was annoying to be asked to pay it before I had finished eating. I won’t hurry to return."

"Went as a group of 6 for a friends birthday and had The Best time. Huge range of food and all of it was absolutely delicious satay sauce...such a small point but! it was superb! all arrived piping hot and super tasty. We moved on to Beer Pong, the manager arranged for us to go on as a group hadn't turned up and we didn't know you had to book. Very kind helpful man! Was BRILLIANT fun special mention to Henry who looked after us in the best possible way a Happy Birthday pud for our friend some shots (which were surprisingly LOVELY! at the horseshoe table. Made sure we all had a great experience. Highly recommend this place for an all round top evening. "

"I went for a three-course lunch for just $15, and it was absolutely fantastic! The portion sizes were generous enough to satisfy both me and my one-year-old. We enjoyed cheesy garlic bread and chicken goujons that were made with..."

"The staff were friendly and very helpful in guiding us on how to operate the karaoke machine, which was a refreshing experience. If we wanted to order drinks or needed assistance with the karaoke, we just pressed the service button, and the staff promptly came to our room to take our orders. We had a great time that night and are already planning to return with a larger group of friends."

"Went there for dim sum and starters only as we had other plans after. The dim sum were tasty, tasted fresh and handmade. The husband and wife serving us were very lovely so we decided to add a hot and sour soup as well. This was disappointing, however the lady did offer us a dessert in the end which was a lovely cheesecake. Overall we loved the atmosphere, dim sum and service. But the prices are even higher than China Town in London and portions are tiny. Paying just under £2 per tiny dumpling? Can't go here as a regular as would be way to expensive, would go there again on a special occasion."

"the personal was amazing that everyone smiled and really woke up. the presentation of foods was really impressive the visualization and plates. Unfortunately, eating was not so big missing aromas and flavors. ramen nudeln looked rather disappointing not sure what kind of noodles, but tasted like the cheapest. the huh katsu was missing, as mentioned above, also the taste. sushi wasn't bad, can't complain, but not so good for the price. I'm glad we tried this restaurant because we were much interested, but I don't think we're back."

"I read a lot of great reviews on line and I thought I would experience a lovely time with my 18 month old daughter and best friend. I was really disappointed with how we were treated. I am also 8 and a half months pregnant and I’ve been to several restaurants in the past where I have taken mini snacks for my daughter just incase she did not like the food provided at the restaurant. Several restaurants had no issues with it. I was so disappointed with how we were approached. I was approached by a stern man who instructed me to put away the Pringles I gave my daughter to distract her whilst we ordered our food. It was very unprofessional of him and he was incredibly rude in the process when I tried to explain to him that my daughter is quite hungry and needs something He walked off in the midst of the conversation. He said it was not his problem if the child refused to eat the food they had at his restaurant but he was not prepared for us to have other food not purchased at the restaurant. As a mother, I have never heard of such a thing and felt very disappointed with how we were treated honestly. The service wasn’t great for the rest of the evening and very little attention was paid to detail. The other waiter at the bar was also quite rude and got frustrated with me when I got up to ask for cutlery. The service overall was just really heartbreakingly disappointing. We are as quickly as possible and left. I will not recommended this restaurant if you have a little child, as they do not seem to want to cater for certain people. I was quite disappointed as I saw the first waiter speak with people from his background quite nicely and served them nicely too."

"It was moderate at best , we had the waiter spill the tea on the cakes and excused himself to bring new ones which were never bought back. The attention to detail is cared for rather than the quality of food itself, it felt stale some sandwiches. The highlight was only the view. The rest can be described as mediocre at best. Too much show but quality wise a dissapointment."

"I don't usually read previous reports before composing my thoughts on any place I have visited but I made an exception here and I have to say I'm dumfounded by the recent negative reviews of this restaurant.Personally, I found it amazing. Indeed, the fayre was top notch, as was the service. We were a group of and we had a fabulous time.Yes, it is pricey and not somewhere most people could afford to patronise every week but for a special occasion it is the bees knees. Will stay in the memory for a long time."

"A friendly welcome, prompt service and excellent, food, had dimsum and squid for appetizers plus Calamari, superb except the Calamari, which was a little hard and dry, the dim-sum was of the highest standard. Mainly there were garlic PacChoi, sweets and sour pork, and seafood in black bean sauce, all super, no desserts offered, would have been happy with candychee! Ambience could be better, the restaurant was a bit cold and the lighting too hard, comfortable chairs and tables, all in all a very nice meal, we will be back!"

"Fresh flavours, seafood also very fresh and that is a rarity. The food is a great step up from most chinesr restaurants and the staff are friendly and attentive. One point that is not often mentioned is that it's a small restaurant with not many tables but they don't cram you in. So many small restaurants cram in extra tables and at the Mira they allow space and comfort. I can't wait to go again Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Stumbled across this little Tea House during lunch, reviews looked quite good so we gave it a try. The Matcha tea and the Hot Chocolate was really good. Hot Chocolate was very luxurious and of a high quality. However, the food was not on par with the tea and drinks. The Gyudon beef was very lightly seasoned, and the rice was very very bland. Alot of chilli flakes and oil was needed to finish the food. The onigiri's were very disappointing. The rice did not have any mirin or sushi rice seasoning and was very very bland. I also tried to umeboshi onigiri and there was a tiny piece of umeboshi with shiso leaves in the middle of the onigiri but nothing else just plain white rice. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Especially because it was a cute little tea house with a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. If I ever come back, it would only be for the teas/hot drinks."

"8 of us went here for a birthday celebration, and having seen so many positive reviews on trip advisor chose to go out of our way to Youngs in Wembley. The restaurant itself looked terrible on the outside, and was also terrible on the inside and had a funny smell. Nothing about the decor would indicate you were in a Chinese restaurant, except the chop sticks on the tables. Decor aside we were hopeful about the food but were left sorely disappointed. Food was bland and one of our guests couldn’t eat his beef dish at all as it tasted off. There was just one person serving and the service was very hit and miss despite only one other table of two occupied. We paid the bill and left as quick as we possibly could."

"Had a lovely meal/lunch with my dad and partner. The food itself is done the same as quite traditional Chinese cuisine which of course we love and why we went here. I am half Chinese half English myself and think that because this is more traditional then what English people are used to, sometimes their can be a misunderstanding of the mannerisms used by Chinese people along with flavours that are more commonly seen in normal/common Chinese takeaways. So I would say this place is great for getting as close to proper Chinese food in the southwest as possible. Don't expect this to be another generic Chinese takeaway type place because it's not and that's a good thing."

"The Golden Dragon offers several marvellous vegan tofu options, which the kitchen will prepare with great care for vegans. Such as vegetable Mapo tofu, or deep fried tofu in sweet and sour sauce, or even mixed vegetable Singapore Vermicelli, made with no egg and with tofu added. Another favourite is mixed veg in Szechuan style made with tofu. It's great to have such variety. The quality of all these dishes is exceptionally high, making them good value, I believe. The staff are delightfully friendly, helpful and professional, and the food is almost always ready bang on time. I would highly recommend the Golden Dragon for these marvellous delicious nutritious vegan meals."
