"Service really really poor. Booked via open table, when we arrived we were scolded by staff for not detailing whether we wanted food and drinks. No table reserved. Food was nice but took ages. Staff were not attentive at all, never asked us if we wanted more drinks. Didn't ask if we wanted desserts or coffee. The place was empty and we were forgotten about. No good enough, in fact I would say avoid and I'm sorry if any visitor to Edinburgh goes here as they will be very disappointed. Poor, poor, poor."

"I was here on a date. we asked if we could have drinks at the bar and the manager said yes, while we noticed a table in the restaurant area at the bar and asked a waiter if we were sitting there and. the menu. he said yes, we wanted to order dinner when the manager came and told us we had to go. the table was not reserved as we asked the waiter. After he refused to give an explanation why we could not sit there and order food, he took our drinks and returned them to the bar. not only was this humiliating, but completely unreliable. the manager insulted me when we went out after he refused to give a real explanation for his actions. Maybe he doesn't like black people or gay people or train his staff not right. or maybe all three? here's a photo, if you see him, can you find out?"

"We arrived at the restaurant for our booked special occasion, only to find out that they had no record of our reservation. This resulted in a disappointing experience as we had to wait while they tried to find a suitable table for us. When we were finally seated, we found ourselves at very low seats that were not ideal for enjoying our afternoon tea. Overall, it was a spoiled experience for us."

"Mezzorama offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant was almost full when we visited, filled with couples and small families, without any rowdy groups. The food and wine were both excellent, and the service was top-notch. The only suggestion I have is for them to add more dessert options that are not ice cream-based. Although my partner's steak was cooked rare instead of medium as requested, I'm sure they would have gladly fixed it if we had asked. Overall, Mezzorama offers great value for the price."

"Overall, it was a pleasant evening at the restaurant. It took a while for someone to come and take our drink order. My husband, who doesn't drink, ordered a non-alcoholic beer but was told there were no options available. Instead, he was offered a cider, which also contained alcohol. It was disappointing to see no non-alcoholic options other than soft drinks in this day and age, especially during January when many people are participating in Dry January. Despite this, the food was excellent. The salt and pepper chicken starter had a different flavor than expected but was still enjoyable."

"It was convenient for me to eat at the Brasserie as I was staying at the hotel. My daughter joined me for dinner and, luckily, we were able to laugh at the time it took to be served. The waiter explained that they had a buffet for happening at the same time so we made allowances. However, we had to remind the waiter that we had ordered wine. We waited at least half an hour for our food and then our plates were removed before we had actually finished. We had to ask for a sweet menu. Having ordered pancakes, we then had to wait another half an hour for these to arrive.It was fortunate that my daughter’s last train was midnight"

"Lovely environment, perfect for celebrations of any kind. Food is really good, especially the Brasato which was stellar. Also I've seen that children are welcome. You won't see too many kids there, but nonetheless they are well accepted. There are flowers everywhere and art pieces that make the place look overall very interesting."

"We didn 't feel The Brasserie offered much variety. We arrived to be told that the Asian menu wasn 't available that day, leaving very limited menu choices especially if you wanted to be healthy. My steak and chips was fine but my wife ordered the 'superfood salad ', which transpired to be a huge bowl of spinach with a tiny bit of rice, three slices of avocado and a tiny bit of quinoa. Very disappointing for £13. The service was pretty good, but there wasn 't much of an atmosphere and we didn 't feel it represented good value for money, even for central London."

"This is my first visit to this restaurant. The menu is very small. Some of the staff is knowledgeable and efficient but some are not! We got one wrong dish and had another dish thrown away after being taken away to put into a smaller plate. However we did get a complimentary new one. Decorations is not very classy, especially given its location. The table setting needs more thought as there was hardly room for the individual hot pots and the dishes. The hot pots get in the way a bit and I had to stand up a few times to reach the dishes. The seafood is fresh and of good quality but the stock base for the hot pot was bland. The meal was very expensive for what it was and condiments were all at extra cost. Not sure if I’ll be going there again."

"Wonderful food reasonably priced great hosts again top marks to Vinod and the team hear, had tandoori roti lamb chops succulent tasty not like the hard leather at some places masala Dosa is crispy and fresh sambar spot on and the coconut chutney perfect spinach and chicken curry tasty and fresh, chicken tikka masala traditional and creamy chicken jalfrezi moreish and the egg cury great, not to mention a proper Indian chai in an authentic metal cup with bowl just how it should be, ambience is great unhurried but the team especially Vinod are attentive, met the owner who is more concerned just like the team on you as a customer enjoying your evening and meal, have been lunch time and evening and recommend anytime, they were also super busy with takeaways but you do not notice this all food served fresh hot and perfect just wish see had space for desert and if you ask for specifics for instance I asked for my jalfrezi to be extra spicy they did just that, also asked about my next visits meal deffinetly recommended if you fancy a good clean authentic Indian meal, can either go with the family or equally with a few friends it is homely and also a good place for many occasions. Do not mind paying for quality as the quantity is great and it is not heavily priced like some central London restaurants. Yet again I tried to take some photos of the dishes but as fast as it comes out from point of order it goes down just as quick, also to add note you do not get upset stomach after a meal a massive thumbs up and thank you to the team and chef."

"I am a regular customer at this restaurant and have always enjoyed their beers. However, on my last visit, I was disappointed by the poor quality of both the food and service, despite the fact that it wasn't very busy. I will still return as usual, but I will be avoiding certain items on the menu. This place has now become hit or miss for me, which is concerning as I have been a loyal customer for years. Despite this, I can always count on their beer to be consistently good."

"Beautiful interiors, great food menu. Unfortunately in our visit, we didn’t experience a great service level. There were only 3/4 other tables so it was very quiet. The staff didn’t seem very motivated or engaged in providing a good level of service very low energy. One dish was forgotten so one of our group had to wait while we ate our food two sides were also not made and we had to ask for them. I would visit again and hope for a better experience because the place itself is lovely and the food was great. It was really lacking in welcoming and friendly service. On another note, I would like to point out how dangerous it is to serve hot food and drinks when there is a baby in a highchair. On all occasions when food and drink was brought to the table the staff member leant over our baby with hot items we had to move the highchair out of the way. Instead, staff should be trained to give to the adults directly and avoid going over the head of a baby sitting at the end of the table. If an accident should occur due to carelessness like this it would be awful. It’s much easier and safer to give food and drink to the person directly at their seat. Please consider this!"

"Miusan was a good choice of venue for us, because we wanted to talk without having to shout! The atmosphere was nice, there was no background music, and the staff were friendly and attentive. "I booked my partner and I in for new years eve at Cote Covent Garden. Upon arrival we were sat on a table for 2 which happened to be in the middle of where everyone from staff to other customers were rushing by. Early signs were not good. We then waited around 40 minutes to be served. During the 40 minutes we asked twice to be served for drinks and food but nobody seemed interested in our table. There were waiting staff actually looking at our table and walking around but still nobody taking our order. We did manage to finally get some drinks but at this point we were frustrated with the evening, so we requested the bill for the drinks without any service added on it. After this, the general manager came to our table to attempt to salvage the evening. They guaranteed to serve our table personally, so we reluctuntantly gave the benefit of the doubt and stayed. The food itself was actually good but the evening was marred with continued poor service at points and we weren't offered anything in return. To our disbelief service charge was still added to the bill at the end of the night, it was actually a relief to get out of the place by the end which is disappointing. Would not recommend booking here on a busy evening as they overbook tables (there was queues out of the door) and the staff need significant training on table waiting."

"We really enjoy this restaurant, however, I was disappointed with my choice of food (vegetable stew and greens) as it was too salty for my taste and I couldn't eat the greens. I suggest allowing customers to adjust the salt content to their liking. I mentioned this issue to our very friendly Australian waitress when returning the item. Overall, the food was good apart from this issue."

"The surroundings are very pleasant but unfortunately the gentleman that was providing the live entertainment was really pretty bad,however,the staff realising this did not let him play for very long they did go round asking the diners for their feedback. I had ordered meatballs which were cold when they brought them to the table but quickly changed them for me couldn't apologise enough. I found the staff very friendly they really made us smile making our evening very pleasant which I was delighted with as my husband I were treating our friends to dinner to celebrate their anniversary as we do every year. Entertainment aside we all had a very lovely evening. Thanks again."

"We had great service, great coffee here. The staff is really friendly. This is one of the few places in London which sells exceptionally good filter coffee. I love this place. Whenever I am in London I make special effort to find their closest branch and have a nice cup of love-berries coffee! Thank you Black Sheep coffee!"
