"We arrived with a reservation to be told our table was available they had no chairs. We were taken to a table squashed in at the back and right outside disabled toilet. Our waiter was fine, although felt like it may have been his first day on the job. Food was ok but not as good as usual, and the “creamy” chicken sauce with my Poule Breton Gratin was more like a watery chicken broth. We then asked about our free cocktail which was an offer as part of our reservation. The manager came over to say that they didn’t have the offer code on the booking. Even after I showed him the email with the offer code, he seemed reluctant to honour it … but eventually agreed. They finally arrived along with the bill which we had requested, and they had charged us for the “free” cocktails! Called the manager back who did not apologise and instead just told us he would bring another bill. And still has the nerve to add the service charge. All round a very disappointing experience, I’ve been going to Cote for many years but this branch let’s you down."

The food was great we chose from the fixed price menu , really reasonable . The staff were brilliant and so helpful. My phone needed charging and they were more than happy to oblige . Definitely recommend and will certainly go back

I had a fantastic lunch at a great price from the set menu before heading to the theater. The food was delicious and Miro provided excellent service. He handled a mishap with a glass smoothly and efficiently, and instead of making me feel embarrassed, he made me laugh! Thank you, Miro!

I recently had a wonderful lunch with friends at this restaurant. I am a fan of Cote, so I visit different locations frequently. The Paris Sour cocktails were delicious, and I also enjoyed my main course and dessert. I definitely plan on returning. The staff and management were very friendly as well. View menu

We love Cote, it is always a known quantity, the food is always of a high standard and the Covent Garden restaurant was no exception. We arrived early for our booking (I would always recommend booking ahead) and a table was found for us. We were served quickly, and enjoyed every mouthful! The place was busy, and there was a steep flight of stairs for all the waiting staff to climb with numerous plates of food impressive! Lovely atmosphere, high quality food very enjoyable.

Visited for an evening meal, initially placed by the stairs to the toilet, they moved us when asked but seemed a little annoyed by the request. We had a lovely waiter who was very charming and fun. Food was nice, went down to the toilets and this is why they only get a 3 , the toilets were very dirty, I used the last of the loo paper so who knows what the next person has to do ! The smell was awful and so strong of urine, the sanitary bins were overflowing, basically unchecked and disgusting

Upon arrival, the host was friendly and welcoming. We were given the option to choose our table and decided to sit by the window. The menu had a nice variety to choose from. I opted for the Cheese Soufflé, which was a delicious twice-baked Camembert soufflé with a chive and mustard sauce. For my main course, I ordered the confit pork belly with savoy cabbage, gratin dauphinois potatoes, calvados, and thyme jus. The food was well-prepared, served promptly, and enjoyable. The waitstaff were polite and provided excellent service. View menu

I normally love Cote. It’s a safe bet with fair quality food and you know what you’re getting. This branch was awful. Had to ask for set menu, not automatically on table. Ordered a pear salad starter, which was basically an entire plate full of tasteless spinach, with a few browned slices of pear. Whole service was totally hurried (2 courses in just over 30 mins? Starters arrived ahead of drinks obviously prepared in advance and left on the side for hours. Thick layer of dust on the wall shelf behind the table. Unfortunately Cote this branch lets you down and I’ll be steering clear of the brand for a while.

A very big disappointment from start to finish .Booked for 5.30pm on sunday afternoon. Waited over 20minutes for 2 drinks we ordered, several members of staff walked past our table ignoring us, we then asked gentleman who took order if he had forgotten us, he mumbled no walked away drinks finally arrived ten minutes after.Meal order was taken by waitress who came to us 30minutes after order placed to advise that manager was chasing up our meal with chef as we had been waiting long time!! Manager appeared 5minutes later (we were about to put coats on an leave) apologised an offered free drink, we told him we were just about too leave .Food then arrives .Food ok but thoroughly fed up disapoint...

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
