"We entered the long rectangular room which was slightly separated by the kitchen entrance. We were seated by the window, near the plush bar. We ordered an aperitif of sparkling and a bottle of wine to go with the food. The waiter was professional and suggested the best wine for our taste buds. There were a couple of dishes on the specials board that we fancied but in the end we went for the squid with gremolata chilli and the Pimms cured salmon for starter. "I booked my partner and I in for new years eve at Cote Covent Garden. Upon arrival we were sat on a table for 2 which happened to be in the middle of where everyone from staff to other customers were rushing by. Early signs were not good. We then waited around 40 minutes to be served. During the 40 minutes we asked twice to be served for drinks and food but nobody seemed interested in our table. There were waiting staff actually looking at our table and walking around but still nobody taking our order. We did manage to finally get some drinks but at this point we were frustrated with the evening, so we requested the bill for the drinks without any service added on it. After this, the general manager came to our table to attempt to salvage the evening. They guaranteed to serve our table personally, so we reluctuntantly gave the benefit of the doubt and stayed. The food itself was actually good but the evening was marred with continued poor service at points and we weren't offered anything in return. To our disbelief service charge was still added to the bill at the end of the night, it was actually a relief to get out of the place by the end which is disappointing. Would not recommend booking here on a busy evening as they overbook tables (there was queues out of the door) and the staff need significant training on table waiting."

"We stopped for a quick lunch with our 4-year-old while visiting London. Despite not being a restaurant specifically catering to children, they offered a reasonably priced kids menu. However, our 4-year-old wanted mussels which were not on the kids menu. The food was delicious and the service was excellent."

"It wasn't a great start when we weren't offered a childrens menu for our daughter, when we asked if they had one we were asked her age, she was sat at the table with us and they could clearly see she was of young age. once we ordered it had been 15-20 mins and our drinks hadnt arrived, when we chased it up they hadn't even put the water through. Daughters juice wasn't even chilled and no ice with it. The wine eventually arrived after the starters. No one really asked how the food was, scallops and soup for starter were ok, I has the seafood linguine for main, i can only describe it as too much tomato and lacked any seasoning. They then included £20 service charge, we have no issue with paying it normally if we have received good service, however we asked for it to be taken off considering there was no decent service for the whole meal."
