"We entered the long rectangular room which was slightly separated by the kitchen entrance. We were seated by the window, near the plush bar. We ordered an aperitif of sparkling and a bottle of wine to go with the food. The waiter was professional and suggested the best wine for our taste buds. There were a couple of dishes on the specials board that we fancied but in the end we went for the squid with gremolata chilli and the Pimms cured salmon for starter. These came out swiftly and were well presented. The squid was well cooked and had a slight kick from the chilli. The Pimms salmon was fresh and tasty (I have to say I was not 100% convinced when I saw it on the menu but it was...read more"

the best seafood in the city. Once they enter the restaurant, the fish market is on the left side. I had fish chips the fish soup

We kicked things off with a carafe of sauvignon blanc and shared, fried starters of whitebait and chiperones. The squid in particular were superb.

I have family down in Brighton/Eastbourne, and the chippy there is always rather brilliant. Fried skate by the sea, salt in your hair, it's always the perfect seaside holiday. Eastbourne may have its huge group of geriatrics, but they sure are more cheerf

Finding myself in Marleybone with about an hour to kill around dinner time, I decided to stop by Fishworks for quick bit of dinner. Accordingly, this is a slightly different post than usual because i) only one half of thecriticalcouple was present, ii) Fi

Overall our service was really not great (but this as said felt very personal ; honestly it looked like all the other tables got great service), there was a bit of a wait for the food, but the food was really great (outstanding really on a Monday night), and the ambience was really only just above standard (comfortable; but nothing special, disappointing really considering the phabulous entrance

probably one of the better seafood restaurants in central london. I'm not in vain about the price when it's worth eating, but the price-performance ratio is simply not seen here. they have fantastic pieces of fresh fishing and the restaurant behind the shopfront is like a small hidden gem. feels like it's the only option for a good fish/seafood eating experience is the opposite, but as a South African who gets used to the freshest fish if not quite hitting the place.

I often meet my dad somewhere along the marylebone high street for eating or drinking when we are a catcher. it is the perfect place for all of us to meet (brother and husband included) and there is always a new place to try for us. we lived very close to the high street when I was pretty much wee, but many have changed since then, so that we can reconcile ourselves with the offered. we've been so often past the fishworks and I know it's my dad somewhere to try. So, when it had his birthday a few weeks ago, I immediately know where we wanted to take him!
