Chicken cooked with fenugreek leaves and aromatic spices, offering a flavorful and slightly bitter taste.

"I ordered from Dilwar Tandoor for a birthday dinner for myself and my friend. As Indians, we have high expectations for Indian food and unfortunately, this restaurant did not meet them. The mixed grill starters were dry, cold, tasteless, and tough, as if they had been reheated multiple times. The butter chicken was bright yellow, curdled, gloopy, and tasted off, with the same chicken used in the starter. The chicken bhuna was below average. The naan was also dry and tough, likely reheated. When I called to complain, they argued with me and hung up. Overall, I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant. I spent £35 and ended up throwing most of it away."

"I vividly remember this restaurant for many reasons. Me, my girl and some of our friends were back from our Iverness and Lochness trip and were roaming around in Edinburgh. The girls were quite hungry and demanded a south indian restaurant search the reason being that they were eating breads all days and were quite tired. They wanted something authentically Indian. We had a long argument with me on one side and the girls on the other. My idea was to explore other non indian options as we have been eating indian for years now. But I ended up giving in. We got in Mezbaan Everyone ordered for Dosas and I settled for some Lamb briyani. The food was really good. No complaints. In fact...read more"

"In Preston Road, there is very little nightlife aside from a few pubs. However, the one exception is Flirtease cocktail and dessert bar, which serves as an oasis for those looking for something different."

"Hidden along the canal, this restaurant is a true gem with exceptional food, drinks, and a wonderful staff. We visited on a Saturday afternoon to reserve a space for our upcoming party."

"We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Spice Zone. The restaurant has a simple decor, typical of "high street" Indian restaurants, but the food quality was outstanding. They offer a variety of delicious North Indian and South Indian dishes. Surinder, our host, was friendly and we had a great time chatting with him during our visit. We will definitely be coming back again."

"The portion sizes are quite decent and offer good value for the price. I did find the naan a bit small, but that’s a minor detail. I would love to see a Tandoori option on the menu, though I understand that local preferences might not lean towards Tandoori dishes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, giving me a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of India. The music is soothing and enhances the dining experience without being intrusive. The service staff is friendly and very polite, contributing to a wonderful experience during Diwali night. Thank you!"

"We booked a children’s party here for ten kids through groupon. Booking wasn’t very straightforward as the member of staff didn’t know what we were talking about. We never received any confirmation of booking either. Once we got there we were shown the tables available for us and the two bowling lanes. We were the only customers in the place so having ten kids for a party should of been easy. First off the constant nagging from the female member of staff put a real damper on the day. Kids are noisy, they run around bearing in mind it’s a kids party. This member of staff was at my side every five minutes complaining about one thing or another. The bowling alley wasn’t great,at one stage the ball actually rolled back up the alley. The food is unlimited on the groupon with pasta, chips and pizza available. The kids were hungry and ate well but we didn’t need anymore food. There were a few left over slices of pizza which I offered to the adults. The female member of staff actually took the pizza out of my mums hand saying it was for the kids, took it away and binned it. When she came to complain to me again I actually told her to leave me alone and requested the manager. There were a few complaints from us about the way the staff behaved and when I discussed this with the manager he just blamed the staff. When I explained that I’m an avid trip adviser reviewer he tried to bribe me with a free game if I gave a good review. It’s a great deal on the face of it but it was a total nightmare. I even opened a tab and spent £60 on top of the party cost as I know the business doesn’t make a profit from groupon, this included food for the adults. The male member of staff behind the bar was fantastic."

"I chose this restaurant because of its good reputation, but I was disappointed with the food. My Bombay aloo lacked salt and the cheese naan was not very cheesy. The restaurant is divided into two sections: a restaurant and a pub. However, it feels more like a pub, as you have to walk through the pub to reach the bathroom, which can be uncomfortable. Additionally, the TV was muted with Indian music videos playing, but it would have been better to have the sound on for a more authentic Indian dining experience. Despite these shortcomings, the cocktails were delicious, especially the Passion Fruit Martini. The waiter was attentive and even offered more bread during our meal. One highlight was the option to take home leftovers, which was convenient for lunch the next day."

"I made a reservation for Father's Day, only to be informed upon arrival that they do not accept lunchtime bookings. I believe it would have been helpful to notify us in advance about this policy, especially on a special occasion like Father's Day. We were quite disappointed, as we were looking forward to enjoying a nice meal there. The response we received was unsatisfactory, and I’m not sure whose responsibility it was to manage the bookings. Hopefully, next time there will be better communication."

"we had a nice meal in namaste last weekend and would highly recommend it. the employees have gone significantly too much work to make the place safe, the restaurant was extremely clean, we had checked our temperature at the arrival, completed track and trace on our phones, and the personal wore masks. eating was amazing, really fresh and authentic. there were many options for vegetarians, and the people in our group who told meat that this was also great. it was a quiet Sunday afternoon when we visited, but the service was great and the staff was very friendly and attentive. we will definitely come back!"

"Our visit to Spice Zone was a very pleasant surprise. Whilst the venue itself is very much a 'high street' Indian with basic decor and furnishings, the quality of the food was excellent with a lovely choice of both North Indian and South Indian dishes. Surinder was an excellent host and we enjoyed chatting with him during our our visit. We will definitely return"

"We tried out the Masaledar after their recent refurb. The main waiter was friendly and helped with ordering, but the service times were terrible. We were a biggish group of 10 people, but our starters took 45 mins and the last main course arrived 2 hours after we'd sat down. The heat of my Karahi lamb was just about right for me, but a few people were complaining the food was too mild and generally bland. Small shots of mango lassi were a refreshing end to the meal though. The fact it is BYO meant that it was a fairly cheap night out, there's a Tesco across the road. Strangely in these days of digital payments, it is a cash only restaurant! One thing we couldn't understand is that they've moved the front door so it's no longer easy to find up the side street rather than on the high st. Everyone in our group had to search for the entrance which now brings you in at the back of the restaurant...bizarre! Unlikely we'll be going back, lots of others to try on Upper Tooting Rd. A shame, as this used to be my go to takeaway option when I lived in Balham."

"The staff here are very good and very knowledgeable the food was delicious to say the least they even gave us a complimentary snack alongside a little drink the only negative I can say is the music was a little too loud for us but nothing major and the price was in my opinion fairly high This said myself and partner would definitely come back"

"It is a very busy place BUT I was really really blown away with their food quality taste. The only thing i would say is to ensure that if you really can’t take spicy food, their medium spicy level to me was really really spicy. I could only take one third of a boneless chicken cube and I couldn’t eat anymore as it really was too spicy. Chicken Naga is what it is called. HOWEVER, the lamb shank we ordered and the OKRA!!! Holy moly!!! I am IN LOVE with their Okra!!!!! Poppadom was really good!!"
