"We have ordered chicken shish kebabs for delivery from Rayleigh Kebab many times during lockdown and have always been happy with the quality. However, on our last two orders, despite requesting no sauce, the chicken was very spicy (chilli heat). This made it difficult for us to eat, especially considering the high price of over £18. When we contacted Rayleigh Kebab about this issue, they explained that it was due to the marinade they had used, which they claimed should have been used up by now. Unfortunately, they did not offer a refund or any other form of compensation. This lack of customer service and quality control is a major concern for us, as we could have had an allergic reaction to the chilli. As a result, we are hesitant to order from them again in the future."

"I've always liked this place and find myself coming back every now and then. I took my parents here for their anniversary dinner. When we had arrived, a few items on the menu had already run out but that didn't seem to affect our food choices. For starters, my parents ordered prawns, which they really enjoyed but wished there had been more. I remember their mains being so so. I was greedy and went for 2 starters and a main course arancini balls with a salsa dip and pepperoni dough balls with a balsamic dip. For my main pork belly with roasted potatoes and seasonal buttered greens. Yum! On a Monday using a student card, a 40% discount is available so the bill came to just over £45. Service is good and the staff are friendly and helpful."

"I and my fiancée visited ask tonight to celebrate our 5 years jubilee after we shared our first date here, we thought it would be nice to think new as we were the first time for a few years. the service we received was the second on none, we were greeted with smiles and excellent hospitality. the eating was nice (additions to the chefs! we would ask hereford get to everyone and will definitely visit regularly! we would like to thank you especially for chloe and simon (and the rest of the staff that made our evening special. this is an evening that we will appreciate for many years. wish you all a merry christmas x x"

"it took 90 minutes to get 2 courses the first cure was really terrible and the chips were on places black . also it was warm, not hot, obviously after having been left to boil. We mentioned that to the waitress and she said she was going to tell the kitchen. the main course lasted 35 minutes to come after and it was very bad. the waitress said that she would make a change request to the bill, and when we asked her, she said that we don't have to pay because she appreciates how terrible it was and how disappointed we were."

"Visited here Thursday afternoon during October half term. The place was quite. The ladies toilets were in a dreadful state. Server friendly but very food bland. Our host seemed grumpy, maybe it was a long day for him!! We requested a table of 5 with a high chair and after looking around, a practically empty resturant, placed us in far corner and told us to use app. We called him back over and requested menus as I find this easier. Our female server was very friendly. We ordered two pizzas from kids menu, my friend ordered a pasta dish while I ordered two starters, risotto balls and prawns, and a side salad for my mains. We explained to server to bring it all out together. After 20mins we received my two starters and waited another 10 for our drinks. When these arrived we asked for rest of the dishes and server said oh the order goes to kitchen as starters first . I replied I specifically told you we wanted all dishes together!! No apology just a shrug. My friends ' main dish came after my two dishes were eaten cleared. The risotto balls were bland and served with a cold tomato salsa. The prawns were butterfly cooked and okay. My little side salad that came after was very disappointing. It consisted of cucumber slices, onion maximum 3 baby tomatoes with wilted lettuce. It had no dressing and was a sad sight. The children enjoyed their pizza, but were asked about desserts half way through which made them stop eating to order them. Desserts of icecream arrived and uneaten pizza left on table!!! We visited the ladies after our meal and if I done before hand I would not have eaten there. It was in a dreadful state. Out of four toilets only one was usable. One was blocked, one had menstrual blood all over rim and other had pee on rim and no toilet paper. It seemed as there is never any toilet checkups . I would not visit this restaurant again nor would I recommend. It is not Italian and is an embrassement to state it is."

"I had a nice time tonight. very courteous with great food and spot in service. we had an 8-month baby with us, ask italian could have high chair and hot water to warm our enkelin. there is also a baby change, just to ask where it was because it is not signed. that we could at least see. kellner was really good, friendly and understanding. we had a few diet requirements and a low key birthday, all sorted easily. our food came in a good, timely way and everything we had ordered when it came to our table. everything tells, great eating, beautiful ambiente, perfect service, all at an acceptable price, just what we were after. many thanks to ask italian, solihull"

"Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. Despite being extremely busy, there was not enough staff and those present seemed inexperienced. We waited for more than five minutes at the door before anyone acknowledged us, and even longer before we were seated. After 10 minutes at our table, no one had taken our order so we had to use the app to order (not ideal for dining in a restaurant). An hour after arriving, our starters arrived but our drinks were still missing, so we had to ask for them. When the drinks finally arrived, one was missing and the waitress seemed confused. We waited with dirty plates on the table for around 20 minutes after finishing our starters. The waitress then cleared the plates and after another 15 minutes, our main dishes arrived. Unfortunately, they had run out of pizza, which we did not order. My dish (beef pappardelle) was good, but my partner's (pollo Milanese) was cold. The tables were sticky and the toilets were out of toilet paper. We spoke to another customer who had also had a poor experience. They mentioned considering asking for their food to go due to the long wait. It seems that the option for takeaway or delivery may be affecting the restaurant's service quality. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost. Service: Dine in. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: £20-30."

"Last New Year's Eve, we dined at another Ask Italian location (Paddington), and it was so enjoyable that we didn't hesitate to book again, this time at their Park Street location in London. It was quite busy on New Year's Eve, but that didn't pose any issues. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. We had a great table and were even treated to a small welcome drink. There was a wide selection on the menu, and once again, the food was excellent. I highly recommend it!"

"This is a great restaurant, and I always come here for lunch if I am in Wells. It has a nice bright modern looking interior and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is situated at the top of town next to the street market and just before you get to the cathederal. Ask is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of high chairs and last time I was in here with my children they gave my little girl an activity pack with little pencils and stickers which I thought was a really nice touch and it kept her amused. The have a good range of pizzas and pastas, my favourite is the vegetairan pizza which has loads of nice chunks of vegetables in it, the pizza is not quite as nice a pizza express pizzas but they do a better range of pasta. My favourite dish is their baked mushroom starter, it is delicious!"

"I’ve been in Ask Epsom recently to celebrate mother’s day. The experience was amazing from start to finish. All staff was great and really good even with full restaurant. Food was great either. "I hope we just visited on a day when things weren’t running smoothly. The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived, and we had planned for an hour and a half before our theater reservation. We didn’t order any starters, except for my granddaughter, who was supposed to get crudités and dough sticks as part of her kids' meal. We had to ask for those after her pizza had already arrived. The garlic bread and zucchini fries came before our main courses, even though we had requested everything to be served together. We also waited a long time for the staff to take our dessert order, only to be informed that one of our choices was out of stock. After another long wait for the desserts to arrive, we were left with only five minutes to eat them before heading to the theater. The setting is wonderful; it's just a shame the overall experience didn't match."

"The dining experience was pleasant, but there are very few choices for vegans. The fruit juices are labeled as vegetarian, not vegan, and there was no explanation given. The food was not as flavorful as other vegan options I have had elsewhere, so I had to add a lot of pepper and balsamic to my pasta. "on 26 December birthday of my wife the restaurant had unfortunately a crash with her cook in the night before the problems caused with service, eating and storage level. the manager had explained the situation and that it is a very low teig deficiency....not great in a pizza and pasta restaurant. of course ordered pasta, which then also let the pasta run out. we didn't get what we wanted on our pasta selection, that didn't taste good either. fortunately we were not charged for these 3 courts. the staff and management were friendly and professional. they did their best to serve us well in the circumstances. I personally expected better because I was a reservation for 8, 4 of them were children and it was the birthday of my wife. in the evening of the boxing days it was not possible in the last minute elsewhere. on the bright side was still open."

"The food was bland and the pasta was overcooked. One pizza was incorrect and had to be sent back to have the pepperoni removed, thankfully the guest wasn't vegetarian. There were fruit flies buzzing around the restaurant. The kids had a good time, so we didn't complain, but we won't be returning. "A very busy Friday evening in Norwich with the fireworks at I booked the table for of us at arrived and were shown immediately to our table. With a seven year old and a nine year old they enjoyed their meal of pasta, dunk and dip. The waiter was very attentive and dealt with them very well. They enjoyed the meal. Everything ordered came out together in a timely way even though the restaurant was filling up. My wife had a pizza that she enjoyed. Altogether a nice evening meal for generations"

"Staff took quite a while to approach us at the main door.. We had arrived mins early, so appreciated that it may be a wait to arrange a table.. we commented that we’d be happy to wait at their bar, to find this isn’t available ?, or at least there isn’t a bar waiting area which is a shame considering the potential of the location. The Assembly Rooms could be a beautiful venue, but the decor doesn’t match up to this. Feels more like an echoing canteen especially when small children run up and down the “wasted” space along the edge of the main room. The sound of their feet bounces off of the walls. The staff are helpful but clearly over stretched on a Saturday. The food was ok.. not much to make you go “wow!”. This was my first experience in ASK Italian, and it was rather, sadly, mediocre"
