"Ben's Canteen is a staple of any south Londoner's diet. We've all been at least once to at least one of them (there's a handful of them I like the Clapham Junction one- it's got a very laid back vibe and really lovely staff. The fish- hake on chorizo and chickpea stew- is big and delicious, if a little salty. The duck nuggets are novel and nice, a touch dry. The dessert- DIY donuts- are a fun little playground to round the night up with (inject your own custard, chocolate or jam for optimum joy and mess).
