Savory miso broth with springy noodles, topped with tender pork slices, soft-boiled egg, and fresh green onions.

"Neighborhood Sushi Joint in Stoke Newington. We went as coward of 4 on New Year's Eve for early dinner before the family all distributed to their respective celebrations. The staff was on the ball and the sushi was very good and inventive. The decor is quite simple, but still comfortable and generally it had a welcoming mood. Our waitress was covered with deeds, but it's Stoke Newington and she was on the ball with service. Very recommended."

"great service! memories of korea and japan come in the senses when they come here, especially with the service button. I wish that all restaurants include this for a faster and efficient service. the quality of wagyu bark is amazing. melt in your mouth. grilling for Japanese bbq is clean and easy against Korean bbq restaurants in the environment. they could use more options for alcohol-free cocktails (mocktails) and maybe use better chiopsticks (the wooden takeaway quality is cheap as it can leave splinters in the fingers). more choices of takoyaki would also be amazing than just the original otopus."

"This upscale fish and chip shop is dangerously close to home, making it all too easy to give in to the temptation of their £5 fish and chips box after a long day at work."

"The sushi rolls feature generously sized pieces of fish, and the prices are quite reasonable. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy sushi in a casual atmosphere."

"It’s a nice cosy place. You probably would not expect this level of restaurant in this area but it was good. I had tuna sashimi and a salmon mix of sushi. The portion sizes offer good value for money the fish is fresh. The salmon was particularly tasty. The tuna was fresh but was a little bland but that’s really pot luck with tuna. A good place to go for lunch or a light dinner. I will go back to try the noodles and dumplings and update my review. Thanks"

"Michiko Sushino in Northwest London offers top-notch sushi that has been on my list of places to eat for a long time, and I finally got to visit last week. The menu is concise, making it easy to choose. We started with prawn gyozas, which were a delightful melt-in-your-mouth experience. The food was exceptional; the large salmon set included a wonderful mix of uramaki, nigiri, and sashimi. My favorite dish was the hanabi prawn tempura sushi, and I also thoroughly enjoyed the scallop sushi. Another intriguing option was the egg omelette sushi, which was quite good. The donburi was also excellent, though I found it a bit crispy in parts. To kick off our meal, I had an Aki gin tonic made with Roku gin and lemongrass infusion, which I adored, and we wrapped up with some sake. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and I highly recommend Michiko Sushino to everyone. If you haven't been yet, or even if you're returning, it's definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I had a fantastic time!"

"The location is excellent, and as a group of vegetarians, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The vegetable ramen and miso aubergine were particularly delicious. However, the restaurant was quite cold due to a significant drop in temperature, and they had to rely on portable heaters. I would love to visit again during a warmer month to fully appreciate the experience. The staff were attentive and polite, and overall, it provided great value for money."

"We had an appalling dining experience at Hare and Tortoise on the weekend! They first brought out the mains before our starters. When we said we'd asked for the starters first they took back the mains but then proceeded to place our mains at the service counter and left them there while we ate our starters. When we finished our starters (after minutes) they then offered us the same mains that had been sitting at the service counter for over minutes. When I asked whether they were going to re-cook the mains the waitress offered to reheat them for us. We said no and asked that the mains be freshly cooked again. They took back the food and then brought them out again after only minutes and it was quite clear that the dishes had merely been reheated! When we asked the waitress whether the food had been re-heated she flat out lied and claimed that they had been freshly cooked. When we asked to speak to the Manager she didn't even apologise for the incident but proceeded to tell us not to disrespect the staff and to lower our voices! We will never be returning to this establishment again. It's quite clear that they have no consideration whatsoever to ensure customer satisfaction and have no qualms at all about being rude to their customers or are even concerned about customer welfare because of potential food poisoning from eating reheated food!"

"Itadakizen is my all time favourite Vegan restaurant, and I have been Vegan/Veggie for almost 10 years and tried so many restaurants, non of them even come close! You should absolutely give them a try, you won't be disappointed! I recommend the nuggets, any of the ramen and the matcha gelato!!!"

"This tiny restaurant in an Oxford backstreet serves the best Japanese food I’ve ever eaten anywhere. It’s a family setup and you are likely to be seated by the owner, then served food by his son that’s fresh off the pan wielded by his wife : Opening hours vary on different days of the week and one night a week is sushi night so no hot food. No reservations are taken so get there early or you’ll be queuing by the door – this isn’t the place for a long leisurely meal but perfect for lunch in town.Food is gorgeous, my favourites are the pork teriyaki and their eponymous edamame, which is much, much better than you’ll get from any of the Japanese chains like Itsu, Wasabi or Wagamama. They also serve hot saki and cold Calpis (if you know your Calpis from your Calpico then you’re a real Japanese food aficionado"

"The restaurant is very expensive, especially considering it only serves vegetables. However, the dining experience is unique and worth trying at least once in a lifetime to experience new flavors, so I didn't mind paying for it. I do hope they consider offering a more affordable degustation menu in the future. It would also be nice to see a wider selection of wines and beers available. Despite this, the overall experience was excellent."

"My group of three went to the restaurant on a Thursday evening around 6:30 (they open at 5) and we barely managed to get the last seats before the wait time went up to 40 minutes. It was incredibly busy! We ordered three types of delicious vegan ramen and also shared some gyoza and seaweed salad. The menu at the restaurant is much larger than what is available on Uber Eats, which is great. However, it would be nice to be able to enjoy the menu at home too, since it is difficult to secure a seat at the restaurant."

"I had heard about maki and Ramen from non-vegan friends, and the restaurant always appeared to be busy so I assumed it was good. However, when I finally went to try it, I was disappointed by the limited vegan options. I ordered the miso ramen without egg, and found it to be quite bland. The restaurant was overcrowded, making it difficult to hear the people at my table who were only 50 cm away. While I recognize that the food may be enjoyable for non-vegans, I personally was not impressed."

"in the colder months, there is nothing I tend more than a warming bowl of hot noodles. Vietnamese pho, ramen, or even my favorite noble package mama tom yum taste will do. when I discovered the united Ramen sign when I drove my regular bus in the upper street, I had to be excited. then I went to home and has a little research united ramen is inspired by Japanese traditions, but also influenced by other cultural traditions the purist in me has thrown back at the brittle bulldog races that contain mini Yorkshire-Puddings yikes. we have kept an open mind, we have entered for lunch and I just went for the traditional Japanese classic chashu pork shoyu ramen with chashu pork, sojaei, menma, bok choi, bohnsprouts, nori, earlylingsaufion, shoyu chicken bones broth with thin noodles. the boar was nicely grilled, but the broth was disappointing. it tasted excessively salty and it had no riches or complexity to throw it a little wagamama at all. the noodles did not have this beloved Rarmen springship for them, they simply flattened a bit, chew and strong not on a good wise. obviously I ended it, but it was nothing to inspire a return visit for me. hansel ordered the spicy seuan tantanmen noodles (inspired by china) with dice pork, soybean, bean sputen, bok choi, fresh chili, spicy sesame chicken bone broth with thick noodles. this was much better than my classic Japanese court. the noodles were well coked and resilient with a beautiful texture. the slightly watery broth was much less salty, but had no taste despite the beautiful color. these yakitori style wings were on the daily special menu and were the most underwhelming thing we ate. I only ate one that is unusual for me. the strange sweet taste and the slim texture made them very inconspicuous. the cold Japanese sencha tee roast with honey was refreshing and the perfect palate cleaner. they have a bubble tea menu for those of us who do not have enough of"

"I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant! The staff was fantastic and provided great service in a lovely atmosphere. I ordered the Black sesame ramen and the Katsu curry to go, and thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. The prices were reasonable, with the average cost per person ranging from £10 to £20. I would rate the food 4 out of 5, the service 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere 5 out of 5. Overall, a fantastic dining experience."

"yuzu street food is located in a beer hall that has such a beautiful atmosphere; it is quite industrial with lights flowing over the deck, and many benches or bars to sit. there's a bar and then it stood where they order. they can also take a seat, scan a QR code and order it so that it stores them queuing. I ended on the run for the miso-Ramen with tofu (mild, because I don't do well with spices.) the coating on the tofu was nice and crispy and everything really went well together. my first time I ate ramen and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend it. they have a few other options, so next time I would give myself something else. also the mild sauce is very mild so that for me was a victor. If they want a little more sharp, they can decide. updated by previous review on 2022-05-10"
