For vegetarians, the options is limited and there is no flexibility of ordering something not on the menu. "Extremely horrible customer service. I ordered through their website to collect from Grays Inn, for which I received an e-mail confirming the order and pick-up location. Once I arrived to the place, I was told they had not received my order. I called the phone...number in the e-mail to be told that they only offer collection from their Marylebone branch, despite their website allowing me to choose Grays Inn, and that I had to go all the way to collect it from there. After rejecting walking for another hour, they told me to ask the Grays Inn branch to call them. The staff at Grays Inn did not manage to contact them in minutes although it took me only another minute to do so from my phone and put them in touch through my personal cell phone. When I finally got the order from the Grays Inn branch where I had been waiting for already minutes, the employee told me they were doing me a favor only for this time, as if it was my fault that their website sells services they can't fulfil! Unbelievable! When I thought nothing else could go wrong, I got home to open my package and discover they hadn't added a single sachet of soy sauce. Overall, terrible experience with even worse customer service. Last time I order from them."

"If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I ordered at 6:45pm and they told me food would arrive by 8pm (which is already a very long time). When the food did come, only 3 items out of 7 were there and those 3 items were cold! I rang this place and told them the situation and they were extremely rude to me. After a while they agreed to send the missing items but it is now 2 hours later and nothing has come! I have tried to ring them for the last hour and it always says User Busy! They have stolen my money and done it with no shame! Do not order or eat from here"

"This place is AMAZING. Such a hidden gem. In two minds about reviewing because I don't want this place to get too popular and then we can't just rock up and get a table... We went last week for a Saturday lunch to treat ourselves and felt super safe and spaced out from the others. It was a rainy day so it wasn't busy which was ideal for us! We ordered lots of different things including the vegetable tempura, spring rolls, veggie gyoza, vegan tofu lunch bowl special, and duck pancakes. I'm vegan but my husband isn't and my veggie food was incredible literally the best veg tempura I've ever eaten and I have tried that dish from every restaurant imaginable, so it's the highest of compliments. Their smoothie was delicious and my husband enjoyed the floral tea he ordered I can't wait to come back with my friends!! The service was lovely, the value for money even better and my mouth is watering just thinking about the food I had there. Thanks so much Itto <3"

"I visited this restaurant based on the very good reviews. The older male waiter with the short hair was so rude! We kindly asked if we could be seated on another table as the restaurant was empty but had us seated besides the staff table and another couple during covid19. He responded you are 2, not 6. We didn 't complain that we wanted a bigger table, just another table to be more socially distanced. Funnily enough there were 2 women seated on a table for 6 so I 'm not sure why he let them sit on a table for 6 but wouldn 't allow this same treatment for us. We told him this wasn 't an issue and we would stay seated. He then complained to another staff that we wanted another table. She kindly offered us another table but once again we assured him that we were fine with where we were seated. He continued to speak to us rudely throughout the evening. We spent £100 and spent less than 40 minutes in the restaurant because of how uncomfortable this waiter made us feel. Food was decent but the wagyu beef was overpriced and what tasted like cheap meat would rather spend £50+ on a good steak somewhere. The grilled eel was lovely and can 't be faulted. If you want good Japanese food there are plenty of good spots in the Soho area. This restaurant wasn 't busy on a Saturday evening but we still had the most appalling service."

"such a beautiful setting. sushi goes on a conveyor belt so they can help themselves. it is quite difficult to guess what is, but they can order it all from the menu anyway. the vegan and vegetarian options are on the main menu, but if they turn it around, there is only a vegan /vegetarian menu. there is so much choice and everything I had was delicious. it is a tiny bit on yhr expensive side, but it is worth every penny"

"We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. "Booked a party of ten last minute. Turned up, filled in the waivers, got some socks, had a briefing and off the kids went. After reading the reviews I very nearly cancelled, glad we didn’t as everyone enjoyed themselves. I’m not sure what planet some of these bad reviewers live on. Just a couple of points, yes there maybe queues and it maybe hectic, that’s what happens when people bring dozens of kids who aren’t their own out for the day. Yes the watered down squash isn’t great, it’s squash it’s meant to be watered down, if it’s too weak ask them to put more concentrate in, it’s utilitarian, it does the job. Yes it’s busy, I bet it’s even busier when it’s cold and wet and parents are trying to find something to do with the kids, everyone is in the same boat. This is a kids activity it is busy, there are loads of kids but they are enjoying themselves, we had a great time, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful."

"Mediocrity. It 's not as bad as it seems when it comes to sushi in London. Just had Tokiya Sushi and have to say: why are resturants so cheap with their fish when making maki here? All I 'm asking for is equal parts fish/veggie to rice, not even more fish than rice like I 'd find in the US but this seems like a difficult enough ask. On the upside, their sushi is yum yum yummie, and pretty cheap, affordable by all who have about 10-15 quid to spend on a dinner, but maki, although good, has such a small amount of the fish you order in it, it doesn 't even make sense to order them over the sushi unless you really don 't like fish. Not so good point #2 My dinner-mate got a sushi regular which was 6 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of maki. What they didn 't state was that maki means the cheapest thing possible which turned out to be a cucumber roll with not even a bit of fish in the roll in sight. Obviously if people are ordering a sushi plate, they aren 't vegetarians and generally will expect SOME fish in their maki! End diagnosis, would order take away from (i forgot to mention there is a 10 pound per person rule even though most of their entrees are under 10 pounds and oh yeah it DOESN 'T include drinks) especially the sushi, but don 't go by the photo here, you are lucky if the maki comes with half that much filling, albeit they are still tasty if unsatisfactory. sushi pretty good, maki order take away from Tsunami just down the other way."

"The meal was delicious, the staff was attentive, and they refilled our teapots with water several times without us having to ask. The restaurant had bamboo sushi mats as partitions, giving us the feel of our own private space. I booked in advance over the phone for my birthday, which was a quick process. They even offered to keep my cake in their fridge. The only small issue was that their card machine was broken at the end, so they only accepted cash. However, they provided an option to pay via bank transfer with a £2 fee starting tomorrow."

"the best japaners in the opposite; tasty eating, cheap, great service they can not ask for much more. I went on a Sunday afternoon in the afternoon when it was quite quiet, and had a lot of straightened (all pictured). the service was fast and friendly, and offered advices to menu points. the sushi tasted fresh, the curry was unique and tasteful, and the bark was so good I would recommend it very much. for two people with a decent amount of sushi, two meals and a drink each (a tea, a beer,) it came to £40, not bad at all. overall, they try hibagon when they are in the opposite, it is good to travel."

"We organised a karaoke party for a group of 12 year old girls on Sunday afternoon 3 July and they absolutely loved it. It was the only place in town that did karaoke for kids and families. Our host Ivy made the karaoke room warm and inviting and for the girls it felt really authentic and special. There was plenty of food and drinks included in the price and all of it was delicious. The girls enjoyed singing their favourite songs, eating together and being looked after so well by Ivy and her team. Whilst the girls enjoyed their space we parents sat downstairs and enjoyed a tasty set menu box. I had the Gyosa with skewered veg and my husband the tempora which was hot and tasty. The cost per head for the party was good value for money and was very relaxed. Yes there was a 10% service charge which is pretty common now, and we were happy to pay it because we'd received such care and attention to everything. I'd recommend Obento for family, kids, parties it's a really fun way to share an experience together with good company and super tasty food. Thank you to everyone at Obento for making our party so amazing, the girls were raving about it !!!!! I've included a pic of the set up, this was before I added some party banners, balloons. There is a sunken table lit from beneath which looks great"
