"A group of friends and I visited Glasgow and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. I was impressed by the beautiful paintings on the walls that brought back childhood memories. However, the food was a letdown. We ordered fish pakora and chili chicken, but the presentation of the chili chicken was unconventional and not to our liking. The taste was also disappointing. The Gol Goppa was a standout dish. The chicken Chettinadu and prawn korma were okay, but lacked authenticity. The biryani was overly buttery, overshadowing the spices and fragrance. The naan was the highlight of the meal. The staff was polite and the service was efficient. Overall, this restaurant may not be suitable for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine."

"Shocking Customer Service Experience Cannot Recommend Tonight we are hosting a gathering at our home in Yalding with eight friends and decided to try Zarda after not using them for years. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. When we called to place our order, the employee who answered the phone seemed to be struggling with their system. Our phone number wouldn't register, and they couldn't find our information. Despite providing our phone number three times, the employee's tone became increasingly angry and frustrated, as if it was our fault that their system couldn't locate our details from our mobile. We asked if they could simply add us as new customers, but the employee was clearly unwilling to help and seemed disinterested in our order. At this point we have not given him any additional information to manually add us or try. We suggested trying another establishment if this is being to difficult, the employee actually agreed, which was shocking to us. We strongly recommend avoiding this place. Save yourself the trouble and choose another restaurant instead."

"Located in a quiet street in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, this restaurant may not catch your eye from the outside, but the inside is clean and welcoming. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of choices. "We visited this place back in July. Where do I even begin? The food was okay but the service was bad. The staff could not even communicate and they could not even understand a thing we asked. And we’re Indians! The food came and we ate and it was alright. When we got our bill we saw some other guests arguing with the owner about being charged extra so we decided to check our bill as well. And of course we got charged extra very very sneakily. No way it was a mistake. The items were correct and named fine but in the price section had another but written in small handwriting squeezed between the other prices. All their bills are handwritten so they do whatever they want. I assume they do this to everybody so make sure you check your bill."

"Was underwhelmed by this place, having eaten before at the one in the West End and found their dosas to be good. Ate the veg mini buffet meal which comprised too much rice, two chapatis, two papad, a chickpea curry, a sambar, and poriyal (it's a choice between poryial or raita you don't get both but should really get a curd with this included). The chickpeas and poriyal were just ok didn't feel like there was that much masala in them and weren't that spicy, and neither was the sambar. Felt more homestyle but not in a good way (ie. you could make it better yourself at home). Place was freezing too as they door was kept open and initial service was slow. Added to that the prize of £10 as stated on the menu turned out to be £12 on the bill. Sneaky (and a mark off my review just for that). Wouldn't be back in a hurry, based on this visit, given there are several other much better South Indian places."

"What a pleasant surprise this beautiful restaurant turned out to be! When we arrived, I was unsure of what to expect, as the building next door looked quite run down. However, this lovely restaurant is just behind it and is absolutely stunning. We received a warm welcome, and everything looked so appealing. The buffet was amazing, with a fabulous selection and incredibly fresh food. I especially appreciated the unlimited naan and poppadoms included in the buffet, unlike other places where they charge extra for them. The gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome. This little hidden gem is somewhere we will definitely visit again soon. Thank you!"
