"Despite its small appearance from the outside, this wonderful Indian restaurant provides top-notch cuisine that feels almost like dining in a private setting. The food and service were exceptional during our first visit last Friday. Being new to the area, it's always challenging to find good restaurants, but Raj exceeded our expectations with its high quality food and superior service."

"My husband and I were in London for a few days for a family wedding. We were frustrated because our last night (and only night to dine alone) coincided with a bank holiday and many restaurants were closed. My husband found Bombay Kitchen online and was not feeling very optimistic, but we took a taxi there. It was wonderful! Because we didn't know what to expect, I was expecting formica tables and a very basic atmosphere, but I was wrong! The tables had white tablecloths and the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and intimate. The service was quick and attentive and the food was excellent! It was one of the best Indian meals I have eaten. At the end of the evening, our waiter offered us a complimentary after-dinner drink."

"The set menu offers good value, but I was a bit disappointed with the Butter Chicken and Grilled Tiger Prawn. The prawns were ordinary and lacked flavor, and there was no indication that they would be served in a spice or sauce. The Butter Chicken was overly mild and too sweet for my taste."

"Not very busy for New Year's Eve so lacking atmosphere. Food was okay but they had run out of lamb tikka so we ordered chicken tikka instead for one main course and this was served without the salad and sauce it should have become with. Overall the meal and ambience were just lacking something and we will probably dine elsewhere in future."

"Searched online for a nearby curry house and found this one which wasn't too far away from the Travelodge were we were staying. Rang to book a table and asked the person on the phone if we could bring our own beer with a response of yes. On arrival bit surprised of the location in a housing estate but we decided to stay. Lamb Bhuna nothing like I am used to with a strange taste but the lamb was excellent. Garlic nan not up to scratch either. During the meal the owner came over and moaned that we were drinking our own lager as they were licensed, I explained that when we booked we were told it would be ok and that he should moan at his staff not his paying customers in the middle of eating their meal. really annoyed about this. Because of his attitude and the food quality I would not reccomend this restaurant."

"In the past I 've had some excellent meals from Ashiana with mixed results of service when having sat and eaten at the restaurant. Usually the flavour and quality is very good. However having just had a delivery order from them I was completely underwhelmed. The food turned up an hour and half before the due time (which I had set for a reason) and despite being early it was only luke‐warm. I told the delivery driver he was early, and all he could muster was a limp wristed sorry as if to imply there was no more care than that. I took delivery of the order as I knew full well the food would have either been left in a van or taken back to sit under heat lamps for another hour. Once I shut the door the driver knocked on it again to ask if I had paid, which if there was any kind of organisation at their end would of known I had paid online. The order was incorrect with the rice being mislabelled and the sauces were more water than sauce with no sign or mango in the mango chutney. The food was once again a mixed bag with some of it being of their usual quality and some just tasting bland. Maybe they will attempt to improve, however until they do I would not recommend. a watery"

"Placed my first ever order with this local takeaway for a curry night with family and friends and on a Monday, too! We were all impressed not least our little 2 year old visitor who demolished two dishes of paneer cheese dhasnak with great relish. I opted to collect the order and received a call 10 minutes before it was ready. All the curry dishes were waiting for me; I just had to wait 5 minutes whilst the busy chef plunged the breads in the fryer and counted out the poppadoms which were worth waiting for. All in all a lovely meal."

"Good value early bird meal. We had Chicken Tikka and vegetable samosa for starters, both lovely. The chicken Tikka was so tender. Then lamb bhuna and chicken madras, again lovely fresh flavours and well spiced. The peshwari naan bread was also perfect. Very good service. £5 service charge which we thought was reasonable. Would definitely eat here again. Thank you!"

"The food was ok.. the baji 's semosa 's certainly frozen and the chicken tandor was not cooked in a tandoor and was not even red... When we asked to order we received a grunt from the one waiter struggling to service the one of the only other 2 parties in the restaurant.. when we asked another he barked 'when I am ready ' ... when they he eventually came back he popped his head round the corner and goes 'what? '. The chicken was pale in the chicken tikka but the sauce and the nan 's good. The Chicken Pathia (ordered Medium) came as a lamb pathia and was incredibly hot. The kitchen can order one set of meals at a time so do not order after a party and be expected to wait your turn... 'The oldest curry house in putney ' should extend their mantra; 'And we haven 't changed a bit ' if the service staff don 't change this place will not be here much longer"

"I canceled 20 minutes on confirmation of delivery an hour after confirming order so I asked them why, they said they tried to ring me and it went to voice mail (understood I didn't have my phone number change...on my account to eat only) so they then said they would make the food and send it out as soon as possible and said it would be around 35-40 minutes so I wait 50 minutes, um I then not only said you took so long I also just ordered from another place and he just dismissed me and said it took 45 minutes for him to get to me. When I told him to walk away I looked up at how far the distance was 17 minutes away 4.5 miles away which only annoyed me further DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE Waste of time"

"I had made a reservation for 10pm and arrived at 9:45 to find the restaurant empty. The manager informed us that he was closing, but after I mentioned my booking and our early arrival, he allowed us to stay, although with the condition that we would have to eat quickly. Despite the good food, I found the manager's attitude to be disrespectful."
