"As a group of 16 we attended this restaurant for a Christmas party, we arrived at 6.30pm and asked if our tables could be split to make the bills easier. The drinks and starters took over 45mins to order and arrive, and our other table were served first and the drinks and starters all arrived where as no one has come to even take our order from us.We then had to wait over 2 hours for the mains to arrive, again there was a 20 min gap between the two tables, when we eventually received our mains the other table has finished eating!All our mains arrived cold, some were sent back to be re-warmed. Then a friend found a curly hair imbedded into the naan bread, we informed the assistant manager who came over and advised us that she could not see a hair, she then ran down to the kitchen only to say that there was nobody in the kitchen with curly hair so it could not be one of her staff, after firstly saying there was no hair in the first place. She then advised us that it must have been off the brushes that they brush the food with however this hair was long and curly and was imbedded within the food. We were so disgusted with the food and service no one ate any of the food, we paid for our drinks and left.We were also advised by the assistant manager that if we were unhappy with the food we should have said from the start if not we were not to come back! Our whole party advised at the start that they were unhappy with the cold food that we had to wait over 2 hours for!Id you are looking for a indian restaurant with good food and excellent service stay away from this one!"

As local residents, we have been aware of being the oldest Taj Mahal curry house in Putney. So we're supposed to be pretty good.

My friend and I visited the Taj Mahal in March 2017 and from our first bites, we both agreed that the food was really good. I had the sheekh kabab as an appetizer, followed by a main dish of chicken with rice which was not exactly adventurous but still delicious. The waiter was friendly and in a good mood. I will definitely be adding this place to my list of restaurants to visit again.

My husband I love this restaurant for a take away...we can't sit in the restaurant because they've had the same music playing on repeat in the there for 4 years, argh!!! That aside, the dishes are great fresh, the chicken bhuna the prawn puri are fantastic. The naans are light airy too. I'd recommend they'd start giving complimentary popadoms with orders over £20, like most indian takeaways though. View menu

We've lived in Putney for 10 years and I've tried a huge amount of Indian sites in Putney Wandsworth Fulham East Sheen. This is certainly our favorite and you can taste Indian spices in food. The staff is extremely pleasant and the chicken is of decent quality (that many other restaurants have condoned to lower the cheap water based on the reconstituted route). Clearly the difference. flavor As a result we have been going to this carry for years

We went on a Saturday night was a group of four. We went in and had no trouble getting a table. Service: excellent. We never had trouble getting attention and the food/drink waiters came very quickly. Food: this was really good. We had Rogan Josh lamb, chicken, sashlik Rogan Josh chicken, Tikka chicken, pilau rice, rice mushrooms and bread. He knew amazing and the price was very reasonable for London. Facilities: restaurant itself is very nice and clean. The tables aren't too close together. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. I am 100% this restaurant to anyone and this will be our place.
