"My daughter took me for brunch on a voucher offer. First issue brunch doesn 't exist despite it saying so on the confirmation email. So we ended up having lunch. The actual food was ok. Everything else was not. The waiting staff appear to have no idea what to do, ie wait on tables. Their English is limited it took a while to ascertain that brunch wasn 't available as words such as crossiant were not understood. Ditto balsamic . The first course and the prosecco were successfully delivered and enjoyed. Our plates were not taken away until the next course arrived. My daughter had the wrong meal, it was salmon but with all the wrong accompanyments (they had given her a similar meal from another menu available to non voucher customers but not what my daughter ordered or wanted). So they left my lunch, plus the salmon and took the accompanyments away. I had just finished mine when they returned with the correct part of the meal to go with her now cold salmon. No one ever apologised or asked how our meal was. All around us we could hear sorry . Sorry that you have to leave because your drinks didn 't arrive, sorry we have given you the wrong food, sorry that you have had to sit with someone 's stinky asktray on your table. We flagged someone down to order dessert. Again plates not cleared until dessert arrived. The actual food was ok, hence two stars rather than one, but everything else was simply awful. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told they were out the back and could they help? I explained that I wanted to discuss the poor service and they just said haha sorry .... Over the road in Kensington Gardens there is a little cafe selling wraps and waffles that is where we will go next time. In a prime London spot under the Hilton banner there is no excuse for hiring untrained staff with no idea about how to work as a team and simply not caring about your customers."

"since over 15 years sophies steakhouse visited and since the summer it was my first time. I went past the last weeks often to visit during the tireless veganuary, so I jumped on the opportunity to have a relaxed dinner there...with a friend on a Tuesday night. the dinner itself was the usual quality ingredients simple things made very good and fair value for the location as expected. I was disappointed, however, that I was at the reception of the restaurant for approx. 5 minutes were allowed to stand (besides a board that has asked customers to wait) where I was ignored, although I was passed on several times by the employees without gruß or recognition. it seems quite unnecessary that customers (also with reservations) on this wise on a Tuesday night around 19:30 clock, if there is a bar area on the immediate left side of the at the beginning that I quite comfortable my time in, until someone around me to put around me and safe enough, a small waiting snake formed behind us through the time we finally sit, although there is a series of open tables. my words very carefully to choose, I told the waiter (the manager) when he put us that as “a courteous world of advice” when they let customers wait at the entrance, they should be more of an effort to welcome them immediately, but this seemed to be taken as a personal affront and I was accused that it was quite hysterical, “he was being back in the moment when I met him during this already negotiated exchange we were asked twice (at this point) if we wanted to proceed with our booking by the waiter who obviously had decided that he would rather leave the partially empty restaurant. Despite every attempt to go, I didn't want my friend embarrassing, who visited the restaurant more regularly from late, so we tried to make the best of an otherwise insignificant dinner. within spores of playing the sacrifice, the waiter could explain that he was very stressed, as they were particularly short workers (the experience of my friend also from a previous visit) and fair to him seemed to be that he had a large area on his own. Of course, I have addressed any sympathy, and it is a management problem that must be solved especially for that of human, but why not just with an excuse or even only a recognition of feedback received, instead of expressing themselves and making absurd accusations if it receives polite and constructive feedback? would the device rather not mention a bad customer experience and decide to simply go into reasonable feedback? to his credit, the rest of the service was professional, but it is hard to do such a basic misunderstanding of the customer service in a time when they think restaurants should do everything in their power to customers again welcome after the break-up of the last 18 months. the whole episode is pretty bad at sophies I'm sorry to say and I won't be back in a hurry."

"It's still a cheeky Nando's .. it's just different! No queues outside any more, instead you need to scan a barcode at the entrance to get your place in the queue and you'll be informed when a table is available for you. We had a...seat upstairs, the host told us to go upstairs and tell the greeter it was table 11 and left us to it, but when we got upstairs there was no-one there and table 11 was the first one, so we just sat down. There are now barcodes on the tables as well to order food. Just a note you need an account to order your food so it's easier to sign up before rather than doing it there. So, barcode food ordering. Even with a reduced menu, there's still pretty much everything you'd expect from Nando's to order from, not sure what was missing! I guess it's just a little anti-social, everyone's head in their phones whilst ordering, less conversation. The system all worked fine, orders are placed and food is brought over. I guess I'd prefer a little more interaction from staff as there was no-one to greet us at the table we weren't explained to how the drink refills worked, did we have to order on the barcode each time or ask someone in person with the same glass? We never found out. You're basically just left to your own devices, there's no interaction apart from when your food is brought to the table and you're asked if you need condiments. You don't see any other staff milling about and you there's no-one around to approach. Food wise, always a good standard from Nando's I had butterfly chicken, tenderstem, salad and split a spicy rice with a mate. All lovely food. They don't do balsamic vinegar anymore which was a shame. Like I say, it's Nando's, just different. Personally, I might just order online for click/collect or a home delivery next time."
