"A group of seven who pre ordered ate here last night. The place had a nice atmosphere and great decor. Not particularly busy for a Friday night. The food was tasty and portions fairly generous. The presentation of the food was not great. Its is a pricey place to visit but not bad if you manage to get a deal. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately our bill was wrong we were charged for meals we hadn't had. The error was rectified but it did take a fair while to sort! I will return but not if I had to pay full price."

We've been visiting this establishment for 16 years, and it's wonderful to be able to have dinner after 8 PM. The food is fantastic—so delicious and beautifully presented by the Italian chef. "This is a hidden gem of London! Great service extremely fast and polite. The food is absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients. "The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"Overall this was a good experience. Although we did have to wait a while for a member of staff to notice that we had arrived. My son and I ordered steaks for our main course which were tender, well cooked and served in good time. My son is a bit of a steak connoisseur and he gave a thumbs up. The only criticism I would have is if you are going to put some green salad on the side at least put a decent amount or don’t bother. To drink I had a gin and tonic, unfortunately this had so much tonic and ice in it I couldn’t taste the gin. This could be improved on. Bearing in mind this is a bar and grill in East Grinstead High Street they did a pretty good job and we both left feeling satisfied and it’s not often I say that."

"After booking a course at UWE, I needed accommodation that met certain criteria: affordable pricing (the course was expensive), parking availability (to avoid lugging equipment on the train), Wifi access (for Yelp reviews), and proximity to local restaurants. After a unsuccessful search, I asked UWE for recommendations and they suggested the Greenhouse BnB. While slightly more expensive than I had budgeted for, it was conveniently close to the university, offered free parking and Wifi, and was near the harbor area. The website showcased beautifully decorated rooms and promised organic, fair trade breakfast. I quickly inquired via email and was fortunate to secure the last available room for my required dates. Fran, the owner, was very helpful with my queries about the area and getting to UWE. Upon arriving from London, I found the Greenhouse, although parking was a bit tight. Fran warmly welcomed me at my scheduled arrival time, showed me around, and made me feel at home immediately. She even introduced me to other guests, one of whom was also attending my course. My double room (for single occupancy) had an ensuite bathroom, TV, tea/coffee facilities, and a desk. The entire Greenhouse was elegantly decorated, with a lounge area and a TV leading to the breakfast room. There was also a peaceful garden where guests could relax. Overall, I had a pleasant week at the Greenhouse, feeling like a home away from home. I highly recommend staying here when in Bristol."

"Four ladies in their obvious 50’s tried to get in on a friday night fir a drink- before the comment we were not drunk at all- only had one drink somewhere else. The bouncer asked fir ID for which we all laughed then realised he was serious. I happened to have my driving licence which he then scratched to check it was not fake!!! He said it was company policy that everyone had to have ID however one of the group had been there a few weeks before on a Friday at the sane and was allowed in. This is policy gone made! Never felt so humiliated! Will never go there again. The world has gone mad! We were not rude, noisy or drunk. Dont expect to be treated like that at my age!"

The chicken, tender and succulent, was bathed in a heavenly sauce that was both light and richly flavoured. It was a dish that showcased the perfect balance of ingredients, each mouthful a testament to the chef 's skill in harnessing and elevating simple flavours to create something truly memorable. Amidst this feast, the staff of San Carlos were the unsung heroes. Their attentive and genuine service added a layer of warmth to the dining experience, making us feel both valued and well looked after. The meal culminated with a Tiramisu that was a dream come true for the connoisseurs among us. It was an impeccable mix of coffee, mascarpone, and cocoa, a dessert that spoke of Italian elegance and indulgence.
