"This pub has undergone an amazing transformation! We are thrilled with the positive changes. We've been visiting this establishment for 16 years, and it's wonderful to be able to have dinner after 8 PM. The food is fantastic—so delicious and beautifully presented by the Italian chef. We truly felt like VIPs! A huge thank you for the fantastic service from Solomon! He provided us with an excellent selection of food and drinks and even offered us an extra dish that we thoroughly enjoyed! Overall, it was a lovely experience, especially for my Ukrainian friends. "came here on a Sunday night to eat a bite, it was quiet, which meant we didn't have to wait for a table. eating was nice, there was so much choice on the menu it was difficult to choose, but we both really enjoyed our meals. the service was great and the staff was very friendly. has not been here for years, but would definitely come back"

"Overall this was a good experience. Although we did have to wait a while for a member of staff to notice that we had arrived. My son and I ordered steaks for our main course which were tender, well cooked and served in good time. My son is a bit of a steak connoisseur and he gave a thumbs up. The only criticism I would have is if you are going to put some green salad on the side at least put a decent amount or don’t bother. To drink I had a gin and tonic, unfortunately this had so much tonic and ice in it I couldn’t taste the gin. This could be improved on. Bearing in mind this is a bar and grill in East Grinstead High Street they did a pretty good job and we both left feeling satisfied and it’s not often I say that."

"Extremely busy on a Saturday night when we visited. Very loud too, not sure if this creates an atmosphere or not. Service was good considering that there didn 't appear to be many waiting staff. Between the four of us we had fifteen dishes, a total of eleven were different. Previous tapas I 'd describe as small plate . Here was more medium plate , generous portions. The ribs were enormous. Everything was piping hot apart from the lamb chops which were cold, but to be honest we didn 't read the description maybe they were meant to be served cold? As with most establishments these days the wine prices are a bit on the heavy side. £31 for a bottle of Malbec? All in all a reasonable night out."

"This restaurant was truly exceptional! Despite being very busy, we were able to secure a late reservation. The food was absolutely incredible, with a wide variety of options that made it hard to choose. We enjoyed a seafood platter, goatcheese mousse, ham hough, and oysters. For mains, we indulged in surf and turf (halibut and pigeon), ribeye steak, and delicious sides. We even took home some desserts that were heavenly. The staff truly made the experience even more memorable, with Elise and Nicki providing excellent service and knowledge about the menu, and bartender Sharice making a perfect after-dinner cocktail. It's definitely worth the price and time if you have the opportunity. Overall, a fantastic dining experience."

"The restaurant does not offer table service, requiring customers to download an app where the menu does not match the paper menu. Many items were not available, and the payment system was unreliable, resulting in having to order at the counter. Despite being told that mac and cheese was unavailable, a friend was able to order it through the app. Overall, the service was disorganized and the food was average, arriving suspiciously quickly as if it had been reheated. Will not be returning."

"Having a coffee at this café was reminiscent of being in Tel Aviv. Noisy traffic, people speaking on their phones in Ivrit, orthodox Jews strolling by and a laid back atmosphere. Even the plumbing was very Israeli. The toilets were very clean but the taps were coming away from the sink. It was a cold day in August, which is definitely not typical of Israel and we were seated outside as a Covid precaution. The friendly staff did offer at least twice to turn on the external heaters which would have been nice, but when we left some 20 minutes later the heaters had still not come on. Well it's the thought that counts ....."

"I went with friends to the pizza pizza yesterday. I was before and knew that eating was really good. once again it was quite busy, but thanks to our reservation we waited just a few minutes. the pizzas are simply beautiful and quite large, we have all taken home again. because the weeping was nothing special, it was quite expensive. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend, but make sure they reserve."

"Four ladies in their obvious 50’s tried to get in on a friday night fir a drink- before the comment we were not drunk at all- only had one drink somewhere else. The bouncer asked fir ID for which we all laughed then realised he was serious. I happened to have my driving licence which he then scratched to check it was not fake!!! He said it was company policy that everyone had to have ID however one of the group had been there a few weeks before on a Friday at the sane and was allowed in. This is policy gone made! Never felt so humiliated! Will never go there again. The world has gone mad! We were not rude, noisy or drunk. Dont expect to be treated like that at my age!"

"This was the same night that we transferred over to the San Carlo restaurant after a bad experience at the sister restaurant next door at Fumo (see other review) We were greeted professionally and taken to a table, sat next to the kitchen. Unfortunately, this restaurant had the same view as Fumo of quantity versus customer experience. All the tables were so tightly positioned that even the staff couldn’t walk between them to serve the customers. The waiter who took our drinks order, was very friendly and provided good advice on wines . The waitress who took our food order was very friendly accommodating. We started the meal with calamari and bruschetta. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses ruined our entire experience. My husband ordered the surf and turf style lobster and steak combo what a treat for our special occasion. What a shame more like! The steak was overcooked for his request of medium and the lobster was cold. When we advised the waitress, she came and took the lobster off his plate, leaving him with the steak. Five minutes later, returned with the same piece of lobster that had she told us had “been put under the grill for five minutes” to heat it up. This meant that the lobster was completely dried out and inedible. I ordered the gnocchi with beef Ragu. Because the plates had not been warmed, my dish was cold around the outside and a warm in the middle. It also only contained 10 pieces of gnocchi, and that is it. We were asked if we wanted anything else to eat, but we declined as we had theatre tickets and were aware that all the staff were now talking about us. When presented with the bill, both of the dishes were on there, but they had taken off the service charge . I had advised that we should not be paying for the lobster and steak or the gnocchi, as neither dish had met expectation or was edible. The female supervisor got very defensive with me and basically told me, that I would be paying for it at which point, I asked to speak to the General Manager. He was more understanding and removed the 2 dishes from the bill. Unfortunately, we had a gift voucher so now we have a credit to reuse at another one of their chain restaurants. After trying 2 in one night , we are reluctant to try another one again."

"Nice little pub, near the station, with booths, each with its own screen so a sports pub then I suppose.... The top thing is the provision of USB plug sockets all over the place, which I really really like so 5 stars for this from me, this pub (apart from serving some great food and drinks), is or could be a life saver, or just make things that bit easier for folks with last few bars on their phone battery... I know I know but its a thing.."

"We went to FireJacks the other day before going to the cinema, As it happened we arrived earlier than the time the table was booked for, We went inwere greeted by a nice young lady who had a ready smile,said no problems then let us choose a table which was great. We sat down and checked out the drinks menu I had a delicous beer which had a goose on the pump handle, the beer was refreshing and tasty, we then went on to order our main courses which were both hot and delicous, I had the Shrimps which were lovelyfresh, we then went onto our mains which were also amazing, I had a firejacks grill which had chicken wings,shrimps,pork ribs,a redslaw a side of chips which was delicous, they have a wide range of sauces to choose from to compliment your food. we then went onto have puddings which were fantastic. The only downside was my fiancee wanted some Thousand island or seafood sauce neither were available"
