"Beetroot soup as a starter was good but a little thin. Main course Chicken Potted with spinach was not as tasty as expected but the Pork Hock was excellent although too much to eat. Used for our sandwiches the next day. Coffee dessert was extremely tasty but would have liked a larger portion. Staff and service was very friendly and prompt excellent. Ambience was good. It was a bit ike a tardus as it has a small front but goes back a long way. Czech beer on draught but not Polish. Would go again."

"I went for lunch yesterday at this restaurant. It was not my first time there and it certainly won't be my last. The staff is lovely, very polite, and attentive. We tried the lunchtime special which was £14 for three courses. It was an absolute delight! The meatball starter was delicious, the potato skins and pasta were generous portions, and the pizza was delicious and plentiful (we even took some home). If you want to have a fantastic meal, this is the place to go. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating area for the summer. I can't wait for the sunshine!"

"I've never walked out of a restaurant before, and I've been to quite a few! Unfortunately, the food was terrible; there was no option for the pasta I wanted, not even the ones listed on the menu. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold, and all dishes had the same pasta with barely any sauce. I sent it back, but it came back microwaved, causing whatever sauce was there to vanish completely! We apologized to the wonderfully attentive staff, who truly tried to help, and then we decided to leave. Now, we're dining somewhere else and feeling relieved we did! Service: Dine in"

"We found the menus to be quite complicated. There were six of us eating and two if us arrived a bit late. Overall I found the street food dishes to be delicious and we ordered of them on the advice of the friendly waitress. We mainly stuck to that menu. Two of us shared a bottle of white wine and that menu choice was limited options from memory. The rest drank beer. I also had a margarita which was fab. We had tacos and salsaguacamole dips to start as well all very nice. Some of us ordered dessert the donuts with choc dip v average and a tart which was like a creme caramel no pastrybiscuit base which they weren't expecting. Overall I would go back but the I have to say the service from the chap waiter who took over when we moved to a bigger table helped to complicate it all for us. He seemed as confused as we were at times"

"this was our second visit and the standard of the food has decreased considerably. we had the same as before, the smokeys platter. the ribs were hard and overlooked. the brisket dry and chicken leg bland. the black rate was the best on the plate. the plate was also smaller than before. the service was not present, we had to ask for cutlery for our eating. we were not asked how our food was or we wanted more drinks etc....the atmosphere was very quiet. we could hardly hear behindground music. Unfortunately we won't come back, we were a group of six couples."

"A shadow of Carluccios, this was my worst experience. The food was dry, took way too long I wondered wether they killed the pig on site to make sausages… The scrambled eggs between myself and a family member seemed to be one egg shared between us. We had a toddler and they didn’t really have a kids breakfast were out of pancakes and wouldn’t let her have a few pieces of fruit from the buffet as they wouldn’t know how to charge…. pathetic really. Worst but was this was the first experience for friends visiting from abroad, Its gone downhill and Marriot should do something if only to protect their local brand"

"Booked here for last Sunday for a catch up with a friend. We had the bottomless brunch. It was amazing! The service was brilliant and they couldn’t do enough for us. Food was good, drinks choice was great and quick and I don’t like a lot of citrus, juicy cocktails but they had lots of choice of other things. I think it was Alana serving us and so lovely. "came in to get out of a heavy rain shower and decided to stay at lunch. eat and service ok and cheap. atmosphere a bit shallow (although not surprising considering it was a wet Tuesday early afternoon from the holiday season). probably not that. offer of space that I would visit at weeks or evenings if I imagine that it takes most of its gelding, but it was good for what we needed."

"I was on Sunday in a floorless brunch for my nieces. I ordered vegan nachos and a vegan burrito bowl. the nachos were ok nothing that was amazing, but was nice, at least vegan cheese on them for once. the burrito bowl was jackfruit, roasted beans, rice, avocado and some salat. the jackfruit was cut into pieces and tasted in the ground like a sweet whisper that certainly wasn't what I had expected for my hearty pornstar! it was beyond terrible and I am not even this fussy! I think they need to rethink the vegan menu, as I am really glad that they offer vegan options, but it actually needs to taste beautiful!"

"that was our favorite meal in brighton! the fish stew is absolutely mock up and the haw in blue cheese sauce is an absolute hit! not further dessert! my eton mess was exactly what I needed as a sweet note before the walk back to the beach near our hotel. the staff was also great, super nice and welcoming and still smiling, although the elevator was broken into the kitchen on this hot summer evening. we look forward to a return to brighton to try more dishes."

"By far and quite simply one of the best meals I have had in a long time. My family were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The waiter was first class in taking our orders and his interaction with our young son. The food quite simply was brilliant, each member of my family said there meal was stunning. The deserts as well were top draw, especially the Vanilla Cheesecake with the Amaretto base was one of the best deserts I have had in a very long time. As we have just moved to the area we shall not only go back for another meal, but also make use of the pub next door as they had a fine selection of Italian beers Adnams ales. Thank you so much. "Ok, despite too much toasted cheese on the cannelloni, and no tomatoes on the veal ragu for the pappardelle, and the crab ravioli also needing a scotch of tomatoes to complement the fish and ink pillows, the place was fun, brightly lit, with walls full of terrific murals of all the best Italian actors and musicians from the past 50 years. Great memories of Toto, Alberto soldi, claudia cardinale, Sophia Loren, Anna magnanimous, pavarotti, andrea bocelli, and so many more. Just tell them to add some tomato to the ragu!"
