"When I first ate at this restaurant it was really good value for money as i booked the 50% offer. However on this occasion, the menu had changed and the prices have increased. Nevertheless, the food is tasty and not oily, but a bit too spicy. I t would be good if they could give the option on whether you want the dishes mild, medium or hot. Service was really good and quick. The staff are very attentive. I will definitely go again, but only if opentable or restaurant had the 50% offer!"

"Zero stars really, and for the following reasons. Having paid for four meals, they were delivered to somebody else. We had waited a long time, nearly two hours, before we found this out and although they offered to refund the cost, our evening was ruined. They earned brownie points though by offering to provide us with the same meals for free, the following day. We were very impressed by their promise. Except that when we did order, they broke their promise and we didn't get to find out how good or bad their food actually was. We just know that we experienced ineptitude, rudeness and somebody whose word cannot be trusted . When we complained and threatened to let everybody know about our less than savoury' experience, we were told we could do what we liked. So here we are letting you know who you are dealing with if you go there or use them."

"where should I start? starts with a phone call (2pm) asking if I still need my table for 2 around 7pm, not really how I booked a table of 3 and confirmed my booking confirmation 3 people. I didn't think a problem was really wrong, but...now they're aware that there are actually 3 people as a confirmation. we should be so happy, we arrive on time at 7 o'clock the host on the writing rushes to his colleague to get her place a chair on the temporary table for 2 (this table has been booked since over 2 weeks) we are placed on a table that can only be described as coffee table that does not fit to eat. the waitress comes then all I can say is that I have never met such an rude waitress, I can suspect that she finds an alternative career, since hospitable is clearly not her field. no person should ever feel at eating, we were sitting for 10 minutes they were asking us 4 times when we were ready to order, we ordered our drinks, as we felt, so rushed into order something, she then asked about our food order, we did not say quite ready for eating again, so she rolled her eyes down and just went and had a good old moan about us to her colleagues. that was that the camels returned for us. we decided to leave the manager we left, she asked us what the problem was and to be honest, she couldn't take care less."

"Initially, we found ourselves sitting next to a rowdy crowd, but they quickly arranged a special table for us in a quieter area. They went above and beyond to accommodate us with genuine smiles. To top it off, they surprised us by pairing our good beers with champagne and a delightful assortment of vegetarian appetizers. Above all, the service was gracious and cheerful. The food exceeded all our expectations—it was, without a doubt, the best Indian cuisine any of us had ever tasted. Our group of seven, hailing from various food-centric cities in the USA, including Portland, Oregon, and New York City, was truly awakened by Mala's culinary offerings. During our five-day trip, which included lunch at Ottolenghi, we unanimously declared Mala our favorite dining experience."

"The food was freezing cold. I had to reheat in the microwave something I prefer not to do. Just eat took 50 minutes to assign a driver in all one hour 30 minutes to arrive. I expect a full refund from you just eat."

"First thing is they never had us booked in..claimed we hadn't ordered until I showed him confirmation.. We waited a wee while and were seated . 15 minutes too get a drinks order and 25 too take order.. Starters were lovely. Then downhill from here.. They had massively overbooked and people were standing right at our table waiting to be seated.. front door constantly open and it was absolutely freezing sitting at table. After 1 hour after starters our food came out.. 3 out of 4 of us had to send food back as it was cold. They obviously just microwaved it and chicken was then hard and rice turning hard.. Ate what we could by this time I asked for bill and when I got it I said about quality was bad and service was terrible.. Paid a £160.18 bill thinking this was high.. Also when they served us our food it was just randomly put down ..they never once asked who ordered what.. When I saw them taking other people's food out as well they carried as much as they could and on 3 occasions I saw the curry bowls sitting on the naans. When I got back to hotel I noticed a 10 percent service charge .. I was so angry as service was terrible.. Putting an extra £14.57 onto the bill.. I really wish I read bill properly before leaving.. Never again ..I would give minus stars if I had option"

"three of us went in on a Saturday night, already a party of six when we arrived. "We went to this pretty traditional Indian restaurant with a good friend to visit London. We chose the menu for two for £27. For that price you have onion bhajis, then a chicken tika masala and chicken curry with a side of sag aloo goa. We ordered an extra portion of taka dal. The sag aloo dal and had a good taste but the curry was quite sosa and I'm not sure they were just made. The service seemed a little ropy sometimes too much, especially when one of the waiters connected to my friend as he finished his start. I had the general feeling that the waiters were more interested in ensuring the orderly development of liquidating tables of the comfort of their comensals. In general, the quality of the food does not reach the cost that ended up being 60 pounds for two with wine. There are certainly other Indian restaurants in the Notting Hill and Bayswater area as they deserve our best."

"We truly enjoyed the variety of delicious Indian dishes. Each dish showcased the chef's unique style, with rich, aromatic flavors and distinct tastes. I do have a small critique: I couldn’t find a customer lift on the first floor. It was somewhat challenging to navigate the stairs with a two-year-old. We were informed later that there is an elevator, but it was unfortunately out of service during our visit. Overall, however, this was a delightful culinary experience that exceeded our expectations, and every dish was beautifully prepared."

"The food was average , the waiters in general didn’t care and the service was poor. One of the waiters spilt water whilst pouring into the glass onto one of our friends arm and just ignored and went on his way no apology no tissues to wipe etc. we had to ask around to get tissues to wipe the mess the waiter made. I have to say though the main waiter for our table was ok. Will never return and would not recommend it to anyone either."

"From the cheerful welcome on entering the restaurant to the attentive, friendly, and efficient service and superb meal this was a dining experience that beckons us to return. My lamb rogan josh was perfectly prepared and included large pieces of of gently cooked tomato the way I like it best. The seasoning was medium hot as I requested and permitted the flavors of the non spicy ingredients to emerge in a full flavored dish. My wife enjoyed a perfectly prepared chicken korma that was not spicy at all as she REALLY has a sensitive palate. I look forward to our next visit."

"I visited the restaurant whilst on a business trip after seeking out an Indian restaurant on Google with good reviews for an evening meal. I'm not local to Solihull and google maps struggled to direct me to the location by foot, however when did find it, the welcome, service, food and wine were all excellent. The tables/chairs etc were also dressed very nicely. The service by waitresses and management was just the perfect amount of attentive and it was refreshing to be waited on by staff who didn't look miserable or sour faced (as you so often find in a lot of places! The courteousness and sweet nature of the staff really stood out and I think this goes a long way in whether customers are likely to return or not. The cuisine was of a very high class standard not only presentation wise but the flavours or the dishes I had were like no other Indian meal (or takeaway! I have tried before. For the food quality and service, I think the menu was well priced. I will definitely be recommending the restaurant to any fiends/family/colleagues who visit the area in future."

"We love our Indian and usually frequent Jamavar or Tamarind for our fix. We wanted something more authentic so we tried here. Service is so good it made you feel good about yourself to be there. Ambience is very Indian but that makes it cool we thought. The food was fresh and very tasty and wasn’t nearly as expensive as our Mayfair regular gems. We will be back here no doubt."

"It’s a shame having to write this as we usually are very happy with the fish and chips here. But this evening had to dump the entire order in the bin. Could be because we watched 2 or 3 people come in after us and walk out with their order before us. We were the last to get ours, turned out we received soggy chips and fish fried in dirty refried oil."
