"9 of us had just a meal here, absolutely brilliant, staff can not be enough for them and so friendly, the restaurant is nice and clean and spacious sitting places so that you did not sit on each other. eating is the best thing I cost in a very long time and they will certainly get a good portion if they can't make it, all they can take it home, they also do takeaways. there were no complaints from our party and at the end we got lutcher and a basil potion."

"I have usually given this place great reviews (on Just Eat etc, for it's take aways), despite the Madras being just a bit too hot. Hotter than most places make it. However the quality of the chicken went noticeably downhill, and I started getting Lamb, Beef or Tikka. Then I had an item missing, a nan bread (which was quickly delivered by the excellent driver), then I had 2x Poppadoms missing, for which I was refunded by Just Eat, then on New Years Eve, the Madras was the hottest curry I've ever had, way too hot, almost inedible. Then the most recent problem, another Nan missing. It took ages to be delivered, by which time I'd eaten my curry, as it wasn't very hot when it arrived. Also, I ordered it for 9:15, which was confirmed. Then I had a email saying it was due at 10:15. . then it was delivered at 9:15! So clearly the food can often be very nice, but mistakes are being made."

"I ordered a takeaway on the and I’ve never been more disappointed. Firstly our food was all cold, I specifically choose an restaurant that’s not too far from my home (Less then miles away) so I do not expect to have to warm...my food in the microwave! My partner ordered a Chicken Tikka CHILLI Massala which is described as “hot and punchy” but the curry was bland and equivalent to a Korma! Mushroom rice, the Chilli Massala and the Aloo Gobi were all swimming in water and oil (I have added some photos to show this) We ordered a Garlic Naan but again this was freezing cold and was also rock hard, I couldn’t even cut it with a pizza cutter! I do not like leaving bad reviews at all. I have already phoned Spice Garden and tried to talk to them about our order but when explaining to them about our food they did not seem to care, no apology given at all. Extremely disappointing food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!"

"we have just begun to use the bengal brasserie after our local alam spice in fawley eating down. Fourth visit and eating was great! the best curry we ate in a very, very long time. garlic chili huh, lamb vindaloo, hot, spicy full taste and deep. not full sugar and salt like alam spice. spices also cooked well. lamb pathia is delicious. lamb very delicate and huh was also perfectly cooked, damp and tasty and not like a piece of rubber. I can't praise them enough. A nice cook. the only problem was the wobble that bahjii was crispy out there, but in the midst gay, still give them 5/5 because everything else was spot-on."

We found that in fact the portions were well calculated and we could have indeed ordered a full portion for each person! Food was truly delicious ! "I would say they do best biryani around east London wherever I have eaten and even other dishes are quite good as well but not all of them. I am giving 3 stars just for the biryani but the staff and their service is pathetic. They don't even have a clue about customer service. It's like the management just picked somebody who every cost him less money and don't have any education or any kind of skills even the guy standing behind the till. We always go their for biryani and I think that's their backbone. If the biryani's standard goes down, I bet you that the place would be for sale within few months. So my advice is give the staff some sort of training and make sure they don't smell horrible when at work as it is against food and hygiene."

"I believe that Bombay Bites is one of the best Indian restaurants in London. I have ordered from them several times and each time the food has exceeded my expectations. I even had them cater for a business event I hosted and they received five stars from me. Their wide range of dishes are cooked to perfection and truly provide an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. "We chose this restaurant as a place to meet with friends last night. Although the food was good, we felt a little rushed. We still had several poppadoms left, when the waiter cane and asked if we'd finished with them. As we were paying for them, we felt we should be allowed to finish them at least? The restaurant wasn't overly busy, yet they started to remove plates whilst some members of our group were still eating. But the biggest disappointment I felt, was a service charge added to our bill!! We spent approx £266 on food and drink and each of us would have happily added a tip, but when we saw the service charge of nearly £27, we immediately decided no. Sadly, for that reason alone, we won't be returning to this restaurant. Service charges like that are rude, presumptuous and a sure fire way of putting people off. Most people are happy to tip. It would be far nicer if a place waited for this, rather than automatically adding their own."

"Sadly the service was a let down . Only two sweet waiters trying their best to keep up with the table orders and the phone take always and pick ups . The lights were too bright , and we were seated by the window where people passing on the bus and walking past could see exactly what we were eating . When the food finally arrived it was delicious . Well worth the wait . We got to meet the owner to and he kindly allowed us to voice our opinion which I believe he really took on board . I would have also preferred to hear Asian music instead of dated pop music. Dimmed lights , more privacy , more staff and Asian music . Certainly would be a big hit .. Lovely night over all and I wish this place well as the owner was such a gentleman ."

"My partner and I dined at this restaurant last night, and I personally believe it was the best Indian food I have had in years. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated at a table. We had purchased an Itison voucher (two courses for two people, with a choice of house red or white wine) which only cost us £17 total. The starters were beautifully presented and tasted delicious, setting us up nicely for our main courses. I chose the South Indian garlic chilli dish, while my husband opted for the Nepalese bhuna. Both dishes were flavorful and authentic. Since we had used an Itison voucher, we paid for the poppadoms and chutney before heading home to relax for the evening. Overall, I must say that for a restaurant that had just opened a few weeks ago, the service was friendly and the food was exceptional. Keep up the good work, Essence - we will definitely be back."

"There was no food available and I am not sure if they even serve food at this restaurant, so I am giving it 1 star. The alcohol-free selection was limited, and I don't always want to just drink coke or water. Our tables were grouped in pairs, which was frustrating since we had booked two tables of 4 several days in advance. We called earlier in the day to confirm our reservation, but there were no reserved signs when we arrived. This was not ideal for a family gathering to watch a football game."

"Good ambience... And that's the only good thing! Food some items are ok like naan bread. But curries were bad. Especially Tikka masala was so sweet like dessert. Service was pathetically slow. Pulav rice was like yesterday's left out plain rice. Will not visit again, given there are so many other Indian restaurants around."
