"We wanted to get some North Indian food on our Scotland trip after a long day, and luckily, Sam's was open until later. As vegetarians, we were told that it was mainly a non vegetarian place but we could get a few veggie options. We opted out of getting any fried starters as we were told that they were fried in the same oil along with meat. We went straight for the mains: Butter Tandoori Roti, Butter Chapati, Kadai Mix Vegetable, Saag Paneer and Dal Tadka with a side salad of onion/lemon/chilies. The food was really well made and we enjoyed it and would recommend. However, the only thing that could be better was the service we did not feel welcome. We did not receive a smile or any greetings throughout the experience. The staff was polite but curt and lacked the warmth and hospitality that one would appreciate when dining in. Not a single waiter from the many once came by to ask how we were doing and whether we needed anything or to even inform us that the kitchen was closing and we should place any last orders we may have. However, I think this may just be towards certain groups of people because I saw them smile at and check in on local looking folks. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options"

Sorry but are used to Glasgow’s superb curry House’s. Nothing wrong with Sams, just not as good. Thanks

The food was excellent as always, and the service was great. This Indian restaurant in Inverness is definitely my favorite.

The food was fantastic and the service was very fast. However, the staff could benefit from some training in customer service. Our experience while visiting Inverness was not very positive in terms of customer service.

So delicious! The lamb was so tender, it broke apart when I just touched it with my fork this was truly melt in the mouth. The flavours were spot on! The spices were right, and the taste had us raving about it for days afterwards. The staff was also so friendly. The food arrived quickly. Would absolutely recommend it. Service: Dine in

After having to change the time of my reservation because my flight from LHR was delayed, I then discovered I was still running behind schedule even after landing. I called the restaurant to let them know I was on my way and asked if they could offer takeout since it was late. I was informed that the kitchen was closed, even though I was only 5 minutes late for my reservation. No apology was given. This experience was disappointing - save your time and choose a different restaurant.

UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO LEAVE 1 STAR FOR WRITING THE REVIEW: We were extremely hungry after a long journey and was refused entry due to being judged by the owner, we felt very upset and degraded as the owner said ‘’I’m sorry I don’t think you will enjoy our food.’’ He was very hesitant to let us dine here as we are hardcore Indians from the Punjab and they do not wish a bad review to be left by us, therefore did not let us even enter! The food must be very bad if they felt threatened by us! we have never been so insulted and unwelcomed.
