"I had a very peaceful experience at this restaurant at 11:30 AM. The atmosphere was accompanied by French music playing in the background, and the only company I had were the cacti in the window. The coffee was reasonably priced, and they also offered a great selection of alcohol-free beer. The staff was always friendly but not overly attentive. Unfortunately, my friend found the fries from the new menu to be underwhelming, and my spicy salad wasn't hot enough for my taste."

"My husband and I used to love this restaurant but recently have been very let down by the service. A few weeks ago we were looking forward to lunch and ordered 2 Katsu curries. One arrived but after 5 minutes we were still waiting for the other . Went up to the till to enquire and only one had been ordered. Eventually the second one arrived but by then the first one had been eaten . So effectively we had separate lunches. So disappointing. Ready to accept that mistakes are made we took our 3 granddaughters for lunch here this week . Five meals were ordered, two arrived but after 10 minutes no sign of the rest . On enquiring , yet again it took at least 10 minutes for the others to arrive. Unfortunately it was the 3 children’s meals which were delayed and mine and my husbands meals went cold whilst we waited. No apologies were offered. Also we were given any water for the table. This time I’m afraid we asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill . I’m not sure we’ll go back ,despite this being our favourite restaurant in Bath as we are vegan and one of us is Coeliac requiring gluten free. On the plus side the food is delicious. In these difficult times when the hospitality is suffering it’s time that Green Rocket stopped taking its customers for granted. I think we’ll go Oak in next time."

"amazing service of xoxo! we were just a huge group, they were low in the staff, but have not noticed anything! the drinks flowing the eating was amazing, we all had an amazing time! there has never been a gap that they have worked out their back and simply could not wish for a better experience! will be 100% back! thank you for your birthday special! 5 stars round! "my wife and I shared some vegan nachos and had ever a vegan burger. the burgers were beautiful, the chips had a really nice level of crispness to them, but the natchos were probably the best I ever had. the natchos themselves were only standard crispy triangular natchos, but the rich and amount of torppings was the best I ever had for natchos (vegan or not.) when you look through the reviews, my wife also did one and she postes a picture of the natchos."

"After reading other reviews i was very much looking forward to the meal . After booking a table onine Instead of the nice looking restaurant shown on the web site we were shown to a tatty table in the bar. We decided to try to overlook this as it was a special occasion and did not want to spoil it. The table was sticky and as soon as we sat down i killed an ant running across the table top, within seconds i killed a second one. Very off putting as was constantly looking for more as we ate our meal. The steaks we had were tough and small ammount of food for the price. We will definitely not be returning to the Stile bridge."

"Always look at supporting local business and found a new cafe while in Edinburgh. That nice, we came twice! Very clean and tidy, bright inside as a corner cafe, large windows on both sides make it very bright and warm inside. The menu offers a reasonable choice of breakfasts and lunch menu. 1st day had the scrambled eggs and bacon on sour dough toast with a coffee and following day the bacon sandwich with a coffee while my partner went for the homemade granola, mixed fruit and yoghurt with a green tea. Staff were very tentative and friendly and we'll certainly come back again."

"This is rather overdue as I promised the Plough I would write them a glowing review after an excellent meal a few weeks ago. The pub has been transformed into rather up market food but in a very relaxed manner. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress thereafter taken care of by Harrison, who through out made sure we were happy with our food and wine. The food was excellent, the owners I think use a lot of smokery with the cooking of their food. We both had the pork ribs that were smoked to perfection, probably the best ribs I've ever had, the portion of rib was two big ones, I had to take one of mine with me. It was served with light veg and salad making it not too heavy. If you're not in Cirencester it is easy to get to and easy parking, well worth the drive to find it, it's only a mile or less from the town centre. Will be back very soon."

"First, I want to clarify that I am not a vegan, but I was invited to dine at this restaurant. To be honest, I've never been particularly fond of vegan food, but I was so impressed by the dining experience, service, and quality here that I’m seriously reconsidering my choices. We used the app to place our order, and our food was delivered to our table almost instantly. Everything was fresh and exactly as described. I tried the oyster mushroom burger, and honestly, it was incredibly delicious. We also ordered fries to share, and a generous portion was served. The burger itself was filled and perfectly balanced. I was truly impressed. Keep up the great work, everyone!"

"I've been to the Red Lion many times since Jake and Lindsay and took over, and have not been disappointed once. The draught beer is cold every time and they have plenty of options. They had a few oktoberfest beers that were really good. It was exciting to have a bigger selection for that time. The food is well- prepared, cooked, and served. The soup is always piping hot, but not too hot! Their tagliatelle dish is to die for. I've even given a chance to some of their vegetarian options although I'm not vegetarian myself and they were delicious! The menu has options for everyone, even the kiddos, without being over or underwhelming. Dessert is a must at this pub! Their sticky toffee pudding MELTS in your mouth. The staff are always warm and welcoming and ready to accommodate. The wait staff are friendly and keep themselves available to customers throughout their meals. The bar staff are friendly and entertaining. I usually show go alone but having someone to chat to whilst I drink my pint is a treat! I will go back time and time again! Highly recommended! Vegetarian options: The vegan mushroom burger is a MUST for anyone who enjoys a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. It is breaded and cooked to perfection! I myself am not a fan of mushrooms but I ate that burger and thoroughly enjoyed it ! Kid-friendliness: The pub welcomes kids of all ages! Out back of the pub is a beer garden that hosts a lovely play area for children and plenty of space to run in the grass. They've included kid size meals on the menu and keep their fruit shoots stocked! "This was one of the best places I have been too in many a year. The welcome was so friendly and nothing at any time was too much trouble. My mother who is feels the cold and so they placed us at a table...in the warmest area. The food was excellent, freshly cooked, not microwaved food and full of great flavour. One of the special niceties was the fact that they had options of no bun burgers or gluten free buns and were more than happy to please the customer and satisfy any food requirements. It was a real pleasure to note that the staff were young and all so caring, an excellent example to the many younger staff elsewhere who make the customers feel that they are a nuisance. The tables were cleaned as people left! The hand cleanser and COVID signs were at the entry door and the toilet was exceptionally clean. Excellent and five star review is an injustice as they deserve much much more."

"I came here a while ago, and I thought Katie was good. That's when I met Jorge, more like Jore-yay! It was incredible, made Aphrodite feel poor. It was like a Greek Hercules, striding muscularly down the steps to serve us. Never did I think Katie would be outmatched, how wrong was I?!! Very. Jorge served us like Federer at Wimbledon. Unbelievable. It was game, set and match, championship point. Katie Creed, learn some lessons!!!! Boo Kooks, merci boo kooks, an orgasm of the mouth, I can't thank you enough. Phenomenal. Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, it was ace the entire time."

"This restaurant is amazing! The food was top-notch, I ordered the festive menu which included partridge as a starter and venison as a main dish and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and took the time to chat with me. With the cozy log burner glowing, I could have easily stayed there all afternoon. The price per person was between £30-40. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5-star rating."

"This was my second visit to this restaurant after a not so good first visit a few months ago, but I decided to give it a second chance. The staff were friendly but the service was really slow and food took ages to arrive. I had a burger chips, which was ok but the burger was a bit overcooked for my liking and the chips were not as hot as I would have liked. My dad had the all day breakfast, which was ok, but the potato hash was so revolting it had to be sent back, as it was cold and soggy mush and really didn’t belong on the plate. The replacement was just as bad and absolutely no compensation was offered despite the food being left. The final bill for 4 of us for a lunch came to just below £100, which we felt was a complete rip off for what we had. Don’t think I will be returning for a 3rd visit."

"We visited a function and stayed overnight at the restaurant. The pub itself is charming and the beer selection, including some great options from Elland on tap, is top-notch. The staff were friendly and helpful. The function room was enjoyable and well-equipped, though the location of some of the rooms could be better. However, each room has its own private bar and facilities, making it perfect for hosting a private party. The rooms may not be spacious and there was some noise leakage between them, but they were still comfortable and well-appointed. The included breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of choices served quickly and of good quality. Overall, we found the experience to be excellent value for money."

"The owner of this establishment almost ran me over in the street today near my home whilst driving his car at an unacceptable speed. He reversed his car back to shout at me and then did a full loop of the town to come back and shout at me again 5 minutes later whilst I was chatting to a gentleman who had visited Lyme Regis to see the house that he was born in for what he said would be the last time. Someone I had never met before. We shared lovely conversation and hugs. The owner of LBK on his second run up my street swore at me, told me to look at his private number plate on his car (LBK whatever) and told me not to go to the restaurant again. Considering that I live in Lyme Regis and support his business all year, dining there most Sundays (even when the tourists have left for the winter) how dare he behave in such a manner. Not acceptable. I would strongly recommend that nobody frequents LBK if this is the way that one will be treated. I am beyond disgusted."

"I used to come here regularly, however on the last visit I noticed something massively with the way it was run both in terms of the food quality and the service levels. We came in as a group of 4 adults and 3 toddlers. Ordered coffees and a few burgers and some prawns on toast. For the most part, the food was good except for 2 of the burgers which were far too overcooked and the guys who ordered ended up only being able to eat a few bites out of them. We informed the waitress who was clearing the table about this. When we went to pay, we said to the waitress at the till that we thought that the 2 burgers should be taken off the bill as they weren’t eaten (the total bill would have still come to over £80) The waitress then went straight to the manager who came over to ask what the problem was. When we told him we were given a response of “well, I’ve had the food here and I can tell you that it’s incredible”. When we said that the burgers were far too overcooked (one beef and one chicken burger) he just said that the chicken has to be cooked through. After arguing that it was just too overcooked and dry, he simply walked away and told the waitress only to remove one of the burgers. I’m not usually one to give poor reviews, but the attitude of the manage alone was completely unacceptable. Having worked in catering and customer service, it is your responsibility to listen to the feedback of your customers, and not to be arrogant or rude. I do hope that no one else is unlucky enough to be faced with this kind of situation, but this was enough for all of us to never return to this place."

"The room we were moved to seemed like it hadn't been decorated, giving off a shabby and almost derelict vibe. The waitress seemed unsure about a sauce that was featured on many items on the menu, including my girlfriend's burger. The burger arrived as a sloppy mess on a plate, lacking any garnish and with chips being an extra cost. My girlfriend only ate half of it as it was overly saturated with sauce, leaving no distinct flavor. I ordered chicken wings which were served on a saucer and drowned in too much sauce, with no garnish and lacking any flavor. It was clear that no effort or pride was put into the presentation or taste of the dishes. While I understand that most items are deep fried, they should at least be appetizing. The pub only offered Red Stripe lager on tap, with no bottled beer options. Overall, our experience was disappointing in every aspect, and we have no plans to return to this establishment."
