"We are just back from what is a local pub for us that we had been looking forward to visiting for some time as we like Sam and Jacks in town and eat there often. Firstly, we were hoping to try the Smokery menu, which the waitress seemed not to have heard of. We settled for fish and chips and Caesar salad. The salad was inauthentic, t the chicken was reheated, the salad was indifferent with too many croutons and an undercooked boiled egg cold from the fridge and the dressing unpleasant. The fish was luke warm and the chips very hot, the peas were very odd! When paying I remarked that at £35 it was very expensive for what we had, they seemed surprised. We both still have indigestion. To top it all the wine menu was uninspiring, and apparently they don’t do the smokery or bbq in summer!"

Absolutely AMAZING! Me and some girlfriends met up for our weekly catch up for some lunch today! What can I say the food was outstanding, so flavoursome and colourful (chefs kiss) will most definitely be coming back here on a regular basis for our weekly catch ups!

we had day (on Thursday, 10th juni) and the experience was very pleasant. my parents had both the homemade cakes and I had a mixed grill. eating was fantastic quality and the prices were very reasonable. brian and liz were very friendly and helpful. would recommend this place if they book it or if they came by.

it was right, cleaner place, good eating, but the atmosphere was missing something. the decor is very quirky, they have head shaped tassen, really curious. they make a great job and they can see that they love what they do, do it with passion and for their publicity. the lady in the kitchen is really heartwarming and beautiful. thank you for everything.

we ate twice in the plough inn and the meals were fantastic. simple eating, but top-notch cooking makes our experience so unforgettable. brian and liz made the best bake we ever had, and gal with the famous meatcake of my mother-in-law and that says something. the next night was sirloin steak, boiled to perfection. slightly crispy outside and beautifully moist inside. wonderful people with a flair as you ask. go and look at them.

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
