"This is rather overdue as I promised the Plough I would write them a glowing review after an excellent meal a few weeks ago. The pub has been transformed into rather up market food but in a very relaxed manner. We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress thereafter taken care of by Harrison, who through out made sure we were happy with our food and wine. The food was excellent, the owners I think use a lot of smokery with the cooking of their food. We both had the pork ribs that were smoked to perfection, probably the best ribs I've ever had, the portion of rib was two big ones, I had to take one of mine with me. It was served with light veg and salad making it not too heavy. If you're not in Cirencester it is easy to get to and easy parking, well worth the drive to find it, it's only a mile or less from the town centre. Will be back very soon."

Booked a table for 7.15 but our first 2 choices (ham hock and ribs) they'd run out of . We opted for the burger and Fish and chips. My burger was OK but the wife's batter on the fish was swimming in grease (the fish itself was tasty)which spoiled the rest of the meal.

I was recommended this pub by some friends for a quick and easy lunch. My self and friends were very surprised at the gluten free options it’s almost the whole menu. I haven’t had fish and chip in a long time but as they are serving gluten free option I had it and it was Fantastic and I must address the crushed peas they are so tasty and so much nicer then the ordinary mushy peas. Will be back again. View menu

I have eaten here before, it was a smoke house now they have changed the menu the food is incredible. I had the ham hock and I was not expecting what they brought out it was amazing. My wife had the courgette it was beautiful presented and colourful we ate in the garden and the atmosphere was booming music playing people enjoying cold beers in the sun. We chatted to the table beside us about the food and they said the same amazing definitely will be returning and recommending it to our friends and family top job.

We are just back from what is a local pub for us that we had been looking forward to visiting for some time as we like Sam and Jacks in town and eat there often. Firstly, we were hoping to try the Smokery menu, which the waitress seemed not to have heard of. We settled for fish and chips and Caesar salad. The salad was inauthentic, t the chicken was reheated, the salad was indifferent with too many croutons and an undercooked boiled egg cold from the fridge and the dressing unpleasant. The fish was luke warm and the chips very hot, the peas were very odd! When paying I remarked that at £35 it was very expensive for what we had, they seemed surprised. We both still have indigestion. To top it...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
