"We booked a meal here as we had arrived at the local camping and caravanning club earlier in the afternoon. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in this delightful old pub. The food was amazing! We ordered the Cheddar Gorge burger and the Cajun salmon salad and they were both perfectly cooked and so tasty. We followed up with a sticky toffee pudding and a couple of scoops of ice-cream filled by lattes. Not cheap food but well worth the money as the food is cooked to order and it shows. Can't praise it highly enough and although they were busy the service was delightful."

"We have dined at The Sloop a few times. Today, the food was good overall, but we were disappointed that they only offered sweet potatoes as an extra. The pigs in blankets were delicious, but unfortunately, they are no longer on the menu. The burger meal and sausages were great. My seafood plate was okay - the scallops were well-cooked but a bit dry. They served simple white baguettes that were not very impressive. I prefer brown bread with grains and seeds. The side salad was also a bit plain. Overall, the meal was enjoyable, but it lacked attention to these details."

"Unfortunately the Cow and Apple Dorchester was not up to the same standard as the one in Yeovil. Service was good but the milkshakes were not thick and quite watery. My burger had lots of tiny bits of bone in it which was very off putting. They also didn’t seem to have our booking and were surprised when I said we’d booked a table. Luckily they were almost empty so no problem getting a table!"

"we have eaten some paints in the sloop. Today, eating was good, but they don't offer more sweet potatoes than an extra one that is a candy. they also did pork in cover that were delicious, but unfortunately no longer. the burger meal was great, as the sausages. my seafood plate was okay. the scallops were well cooked, but not so much wet let off. they also used very simple white baguettes that leave the plate down. I prefer a lot of brown broth with garnen etc. also the nasalat was a little basic. overall the meal was pleasant, but these small details were missing."

"came here with two friends while we were in a local AirBnB property. we loved it absolutely at the merchants yard a cordial greeting from the employees (the bar was already busy when we arrived at 15.00 clock. After we checked in, we were quickly shown to our table (in a corner of the Larg dining area from which we were glad) menu and asked if we wanted any drinks. what we ordered and the server came to take over our commands. all our selected courses were just delicious and we couldn't owe anything. my man and I had asked for various articles that should not be served on our tellers, and they have everything absolutely mocked up. we loved the season simply nice and fresh and buttery, al dente just like we l ike her and freshly cooked, they had not sitting around on a hot dish! everything was so delicious and perfect for each of us cooked! thanks for coming this was a great food!"

"the service, when delivered, is unmatched by any other food order I have ever made, an older man who comes to me 99% of the time, he always smiles, and due to the order there enough he recognizes me and calls me boss . I have ordered for about 2 years at the Burger club, they supply late night when I work. the burgers taste more, then they cost, their wraps are great and the chicken nuggets are good. really the best burger place in bournemouth."

"There is only 1 fault with Pizza Magic and that is that it's not open now, 01:51 in the morning. We've used this shop to deliver our food (mostly on a busy Friday) and it's always been hot and within the hour. We always get a mega mixed kebab and sometimes a pizza and it's got to the stage where we call them, they know what we want and they deliver. Drivers are polite. Food is delicious always. Staff at the other end of the phone are courteous and nice. Thanks Pizza Magic, opposite Arnos Vale. (And I don't usually do reviews......in fact, never)"

"Had a cracking lunch here with friends and family. The beer garden is great, lots of seating, a small kids play area with summer tunes and friendly staff providing a warm and welcoming environment. The food was fantastic. I had the winter salad with salmon which oozed flavour, balance and style. A Mediterranean dish which was as good as anything I’ve had at ottolenghi. Dont be fooled by the name as it’s lovely on a warm spring day too. The chicken and chips and chicken burger looked excellent. My daughter’s chicken goujons were made from chicken breast and looked home made. Her meal was delayed as the initial portion was overcooked which I think shows how much the chef cares. You can tell the kitchen staff here really care about the food they produce. The locals are lucky to have a place like this on their doorstep."

"I stopped by for lunch on Sunday, making a last-minute decision. There were plenty of empty tables available. We ordered the beef and chicken dishes, which came with roast potatoes, carrot mash, and green vegetables. The meal was delicious and flawless. We also received quick service, and the food was served piping hot, which was impressive. I will certainly return. It is a bit pricier at £19.00 each, but it was absolutely worth it. The only downside for me is the atmosphere at Mortons. The wooden tables and floors make it feel less cozy and more like a cafeteria. Perhaps adding some booths or other elements could enhance the ambiance."

"We chanced upon this restaurant on our lazy sunday breakfast routine. Being mother's day and avid bikers ourselves, we convinced our 16yr old artsy son to join us. Set inside an old brick archway, the ambience was instantaneously welcoming. frequented by some bikers, the exhaust notes from the free bike park and scattering of some old triumphs and beamers made us feel right at home. Whilst the coffee was exceptional (as every bike stop should be) the food was just good. Treated myself to Eggs on a toasted Brioche with a serving pork belly bacon. The indoor barber shop was closed for business but the bike shop was an interesting browse, but tad more expensive than regular retail. Will be back with our dressers."

"First time we’ve visited Greedy Duck as we have heard a good reviews. Food was OK, meat was the best but about the meal. Gravy was like water both in taste and thickness. It was advertised with certain veg and we got other veg roast potatoes and carrots had been made earlier which you could tell with taste and appearance. Service lacked oumph whilst staff were friendly only one member of staff looked like she knew what she was doing.. a couple of tables were complaining about numerous stuff. Would I go back? Probably not."

"I was there for dinner spontaneously with my partner. We were brought to our table quickly and then served very friendly and courteous in the further course. The drinks came quickly, were chilled, and reasonably priced. The food came shortly after minutes of waiting. We had ordered the normal sized portions, she a cream schnitzel, I each a bacon and a mushroom burger. Plus a large portion of french fries for both of them. Everything was freshly made and hot. The burgers were the best I've eaten in a long time: fresh salad, fresh meat (no frozen patty) roasted pink, a great (homemade) bun and matching sauces. The schnitzel was hot and tasty, but it can't quite keep up with the perfect burgers, but certainly with the competition. The only drawback could be that it is a bit noisy in the restaurant, also due to the attached ice rink. Personally, that didn't bother me at all, it fits the restaurant and makes it cozy. I will definitely come again"

"My partner and I had a takeaway delivery from this restaurant today and I must say we were not disappointed. The food was freshly cooked, the rolls had a perfect crust, and the breakfast baguette was delicious and packed with flavor! And those cheesy chips were absolutely amazing - the cheese was so tasty. "Stayed for two nights over New Year. The room was great comfortable, quiet and spacious with good amenities. The breakfast was particularly great good service and delicious food. A slight issue with hot water for shower could have been dealt with slightly quicker, but I only say that as had been caught in a rainstorm and was desperate for a hot shower before my lunch. Late lunch (early tea? in the pub restaurant was super tasty good portions and some interesting South African options. It was nice to see local wines on the wine list too! Had a very good stay would stay again!"

"Fairly limited lunch menu, and not the most imaginative of choices: I had the felafel burger (which turned out to be falafel in a bun, with chips); my partner had the halloumi burger (halloumi in a bun, with chips). But RISC (Reading International Solidarity Centre) is such a cool place, and what a brilliant selection of beers. I couldn't make my mind up between their numerous pale ales, so opted for an Erdinger dunkel weissbier. And the shop next door is great, too."

"What an exceptional hidden gem! We sat outside in a beautiful garden area, ordered and waited long enough to know the food was cooked to order but not too long. Our food arrived and it was upper end Resteraunt quality. A great touch was a table offering FREE use of straw hats, sin cream etc for customer use; a genius addition. I have MS and had the start of a 'flare up ' which, when we were at the car I ended up on the floor by the car (no, not beause of the wine! a member of staff with no fuss, no comment came and got me into our car! Thank you oh nameless one. We feel so comfortable recommending the phoenix to everyone. We 'll done staff, chefs and anybody else involved in making this place so good. 10 Stars"
