"Ordered a meal from the vegan menu and when it arrived we found lumps of what we thought at first was chicken, so we called up to ask and we were told it’s not chicken it’s cheese, an Indian cheese made with cows milk which is NOT vegan and should not be on their VEGAN menu. We asked for our money back as we could not eat the food to which we were told to just “pick it out and eat the rest” and they refused for a while to refund us any money. Then we were told they would only refund us for part of our order because it was “our own fault” .. our own fault for ordering what we thought was a vegan meal because it was on the vegan menu Do not recommend."

"Well firstly it was late...very late a hour and half for a takeaway, there are plenty of other establishments in gosport who deliver half the time. Secondly starters cold..not even warm or hot, nan bread solid as a rock, no mushroon rice with our order, quality of the curries, not up to there usual standard. The staff memeber who took the order should have told us there and then how long it will be rather guess and the chefs in the kitchen...bad night? new staff? who knows but as a regular customer whom the whole family enjoy the meals we had there....last night was so dissapointing especially paying that amount of money.Not going to order there again ."

"Good food, authentic taste, fantastic place to eat out with family and friends. I had a great experience however what did bother me though was the manager at woodlands on Sunday 17th. He was so rude to the girl serving us and to this lady who was walking aided by her assistant and a stick. She was trying to go to the restroom and cause woodlands Marylebone doesn't have a wheelchair access toilet she had to climb a few stairs! With much difficulty due to her condition she was trying to do this and her assistant and grandchild were helping. SERVICE The staff is very friendly though they are less in number to serve during busy days. The service might be slow. I had to remind them again and again for a simple water. This is why i ranked 4.5 instead of complete 5. Need to pay bit attention on service! COST A bit more towards higher end but the taste covers it all. It cost approx £35 £40 for two. "The best balti in all of Great Britain. We have been coming here for 15 years, and last night I brought my girlfriend along. We had a fantastic time, the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was delicious and very affordable. We ordered katlama, chicken pakora, chicken balti, huh jalfrezi, two naans, and a side of rice, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we had gul road jamun and chocolate barfi. The total bill came to £27, what a great deal!"

"Called ahead and was reassured there were options. Upon going to the restaurant with allergies of all dairy products and gluten I was given an actual VEGAN MENU with many cheese dishes and when brought this to the attention of the MANAGER he insisted the paneer is vegan to try and prove a point he went a spoke to the chef and then came back and told me if actually was not. He then told me other dishes containing gee were safe. In the end I got something very simple and listed as gluten free, I have been violently sick all night since. The lack of care shown whilst we were there was pitiful. I only know I was given wrongly listed dishes because of my allergies, I just feel bad for the vegans that must eat there on a regular bases and have no idea. I have since checked there uber eats menu and it’s also listed paneer and yogurt as vegan. The owner should be ashamed."

"we went in there yesterday to get us. the world cup was on her telly and when the waiters went out of the kitchen, they glistened on the screen. we ordered lamb broth, pilaureis with extras. Once we are inside, the entire content of the paper fell back to the floor and to supplement injuries while we clean up the chaos, we noticed that they forget to add the pilaureis. I think that if they were more time in ensuring that eating was properly packed and the right menu was given to customers and less time to watch the foot on the message, they would lead to a more efficient business. that won't go back in there."

"The food at this restaurant is delightful, the staff are friendly, and the establishment is clean. It can get quite busy on weekends, but the staff do their best to accommodate you quickly. There are a couple of free parking spaces outside the cafe, as well as a large pay and display carpark at the rear. You can enter through Kings Road or Durley Avenue. "Once up the stairs, you are greeted by a well appointed restaurant with great views of the Abbey which looked especially good lit up at night. There is a separate vegan menu and you are struck immediately by the reasonable prices. The onion Bhaji to start was superb. Rather than the usual ball, they came in strips which meant they were really crispy and avoided the chickpea flour goo you sometimes get in Bhajis. The accompanying chutney was also delicious. The menu said there was kale in the bhajis and although there were flecks of green, I’m not sure it added a huge amount but that is a minor issue when the dish is so delicious. The bhel puri was a very large portion and although I enjoyed it, it could have done with some peanuts, potato and onion as is usually in the bhel puri I have had in the past. A bit more tamarind sauce would also have lifted the dish. These small issues were forgotten once the outstanding mains were tasted. The masala dosa was perfect; Crisp pancake, soft, well spiced potato interior and tasty chutney and curry sauce. The baby aubergine curry was fantastic, a subtle but rich sauce that complimented the creamy aubergine. The paratha was flakey and perfect for mopping up the outstanding sauce. An excellent meal."

"Well where do I start with my review of the Cochin restaurant? Firstly having never dined there before we were not sure what to expect. We had only read reviews on TripAdvisor and Google which had been very complemently about the food and service so we wanted to give it a try. We had a table booked for 2 at 8.30, and we were met at the door and shown to our table by the window by a very pleasant waiter. He prompty brought over our menus, and we began to peruse through. The menu had a extensive selection of fish dishes which pleased me as I love fish, so I felt spoilt for choice as my expectations grew. The waiter was very attentive and informal and very knowledgeable about the dishes on their menu, and was happy to answer any questions we had. I finally settled on the fishermans soup for starter. Sadly this was a big let down! Very watery, no depth of flavour and next to no fish in an actual fish soup!!! My friend ordered the minty chilli prawns, the sauce which coated the prawns was tasty and zingy and the prawns cooked nicely however sadly the portion size and presentation was disappointing. Both starters seemed to arrive very quickly after ordering, which was a surprise. It seemed to me they had just been warmed through and thrown onto a plate. For my main course I ordered the mixed seafood curry which consisted of King fish,squid,prawns and mussels cooked in authentic Kerala special spice mixed sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and the earthy Kerala special spice mixed sauce was the perfect accompaniment to the fish. Sadly the squid was over cooked and rubbery which was the only negative aspect to the dish. My friend overed the kuttanadan duck roast which consisted of slices of duck cooked in thick roast gravy sauce. The sauce had a lovely velvety rich flavour to it however the duck itself was a big let down as sadly it was tough a chewy. All in all some postives but also some negatives. If this was a school report it would probably read, 'tries hard but can do better '!!!"

"I highly recommend this Indian a real hidden gem which serves authentic dishes made with care from the finest ingredients. This restaurant might cost a few pounds more than the bang average Indian but it is absolutely worth every penny. Portion sizes are generous too. If you look at the pilau rice alone, you will see how much passion the chef has to produce something well executed and a far cry better than the usual yellow rice served by others. I ate in and felt safe because this venue takes utmost care for social distancing and the beautiful interior is spotless. Please do visit or order in for an absolute treat."

"We had a cookery session with Anil last Sunday, and he was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious. He showed us how to make chicken curry, pilau rice, onion bhajiis, lentil dhal and naan bread, and he cooked it with less chilli for us we are not keen on very hot food, and showed us how to balance the spices. It was all very aromatic and tasty, and cooked without any additives, and had no grease, like alot of other Indian restaurants. They definitely live up to their healthy Indian food claims. We came away very full and with the knowledge to make our own, and Anil has sent us recipes so we didn't need to make any notes on the day. He explained about the reasons for the use of the ingredients and how to source better quality spices and also some recipes for traditional Indian health drinks. I would really recommend this session to anyone who has struggled with making authentic Indian food at home, or even experienced cooks who would like some tips on more healthy and more deliciously fresh recipe versions. Very inspirational and great value for money. We were there for three hours."
