"We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!! "We went for a family meal to celebrate a special event. We have eaten here several times before and were always impressed with the quality of the food. On this occasion we were eating late in the evening due to other commitments. Some of the food was disappointing. I ordered the lamb tikka biryani. When it arrived, it was clearly chicken not lamb! The rice was very dry and it came with a spicy sauce rather than a vegetable curry. I ate about a third of it. One of the other meals was not particularly inspiring and did not match the promised description. The service was very good, although we did feel the staff were waiting for us to finish as we were the last customers there. In all, we have been a little put off returning to what was one of our favourite places to eat and I am not sure we could recommend it to others despite having done so in the past."

"As someone who has been a cook for many years and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently visited this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. I must say that I was extremely impressed and even a bit frustrated that I only have one stomach, as the food was truly magical and delicious. The dishes prepared by the chefs were a delight to the taste buds and I was completely enamored with the flavors. Additionally, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and pleasant. The staff were also professional and attentive. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful Indian restaurant again. Thank you."

"Okay, so this is my first review. Being a student, one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices. Dosa village is one of them. Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category. Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don't have much staff but the food makes up for it. And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! :"

"I had the best meal in Santa Fe at this restaurant! It was absolutely outstanding. We arrived around 9 am on a weekday morning and the restaurant was only about 20% full."

"Great food, good menu variety, polite but slightly odd waiters. The layout is too dense and the front door doesn 't shut so every time someone comes or goes the wind comes in. They charge a 12.5% 'discretionary service fee ' (aka. mandatory tip) THEN have the body nerve to ask if you want to add another tip on top when paying. The service fee is included in the price of the food, it 's not something you can charge extra for. This isn 't the USA, we don 't do mandatory service fees or tipping here and we don 't want to start it, so that sure isn 't on. Avoid this and other restaurants that do this until they sort that out or we 'll be stuck with it."

"We waited a while for our drinks, had to ask staff if we could at least get our drinks. When we did, my husband had to ask for a new wine glass as it was dirty, which the waiter did apologies and replace immediately. When we the wine was served, there was spillage on our table but we just over looked that. Food wait wasn’t too long considering it was super busy, so always prebook. We both got a dosa each, which was flavourless and bland, compared to dosa’s we have had at other places. Lacked flavour, presentation was okay. Service wasn’t great, no one asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu, just felt like we were rushed. I did ask on my reservation if we could have something special for my husband It was his birthday. But nothing was mentioned, again very disappointed. First and last visit"

"I had been here many years before and was delighted it was still open. However although we said we had booked the table on first arriving, it didn’t appear to register. Our coats were not taken and hung up because quite simply there isn’t this service . Instead seeing I was struggling on the tiny two seater table to place my coat anywhere we were ushered to a two seater right at the back by the serving hatches and I was told I could put my coat on top of the utensils behind. Only when we ordered quite a substantial meal and drinks did another waiter seat us at a larger table opposite where our meal could ‘fit’ and my coat could be placed next to me . The meal was however delicious. At the end I mentioned again that we had made a prior reservation but I still don’t think this registered."

"We had family visiting so decided to try the restaurant in Bridge of Don. We were a mixed group from regular Indian foodies to my wife’s mother age who had never eaten spicy food before. Serg, the manager met us and immediately struck up a rapor with our group, telling jokes, making a fuss of “Mum” and making us feel very welcome. He advised on the menu and wine and settled us down to what was a very memorable evening. In short, wine was great, food amazing and the staff could not have been more attentive. Would highly recommend anyone who fancied a great Indian food experience"

"Very disappointed. I ordered from Shri Bheema because on its website it said the Bridge of Don location was open. I ordered for collection with the JustEat website quoting me for pickup. When I finished processing the order at the confirmation said pickup had changed to Not ideal, but manageable. I arrived at the Bridge of Don location to find out that it was closed and the food was coming from Belmont Street. I was disheartened by this, but they explained they could not get staff from India to fill the kitchen. I really want to be sympathetic, but it was before my food arrived which leads to my poor review. The food was good. Lamb korma was light and sweet, perfect for my kids. Chicken patia was surprisingly spicy, but so delicious I ate through the sweats. The naan was huge and each curry would give two generous portions. However, Shri Bheema is more expensive than others and if you can't get the food in good time, then my view is it isn't worth it."

"- The service was good, and the ambiance had a pleasant saffron orange hue. - They offer beer on tap and a decent variety of Indian street foods. - The chicken and lamb curry were satisfactory in taste. - Overall, it was a nice dining experience."

"What a let down! Out of town, staying in local hotel and Only came on the back of a glowing google score. Empty restaurant on a Friday night??? Lamb chops were black charred beyond adding flavour. Tasted bitter. The onion Bhaji’s were 2/3s flour and were like pakora batter, not really mostly onion!! Not nice, these were left. We ordered 2 chicken tikka curries, the chicken was ok, but both curries were bland, just tasting of salty base gravy. Disappointing. Service was excellent. People are lovely but this is not great British Indian curry. Lots of locals seemed pleased but I am used to much better."

"I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for Masala dosa in Sheffield, and what a discovery it was! They serve authentic South Indian food that is cooked to perfection and served with warmth. The Fish 65 and Medhu vada starters were delicious, with the fish being light and flaky and the vadas crispy and well-spiced, accompanied by perfect chutneys. The beef fry was cooked in the Travancore style and the fluffy aapams were a great accompaniment. The Masala dosa was good, though it could have had a bit more filling, but the sambar and chutney were excellent. The panacotta was a satisfying end to the meal, which was washed down with lassi and an IPA. I look forward to returning soon. I also tried the Nilgiri Chicken, Thhothukudi squid, and more Fish 65 to continue the enjoyable experience. The only improvement could be in the cleanliness of the toilets, but overall, I highly recommend this restaurant."

"We dined at Southern Spice on Saturday, April. Four of us had a pleasant evening meal there. The appetizers were fantastic, particularly the soft shell crab and lamb samosas. The main dishes were also delicious, with the Chicken Korma standing out. The desserts were lovely as well, especially the ice cream with cooked corn and the brûlée. The service was excellent, with discreet and attentive staff who were very friendly and accommodating. We plan to return soon and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quiet evening in a nice, no-frills restaurant with great food. The wine selection is reasonably priced and the Malbec was excellent."
