"We would have appreciated a notification that the restaurant was closed. We traveled all the way from Milton Keynes to celebrate our daughter's 6th birthday. Despite receiving text messages and emails confirming our booking beforehand, we were extremely disappointed to arrive with our daughter, excited for her birthday meal, only to find the place shut down. This really put a damper on her special day."

"Another fantastic meal at Ed's Diner. I wish I had some 20p coins for the Jukebox. It seemed to be out of order or no one was using it, but it's all part of the dining experience at Ed's Diner. I ordered the grilled chicken burger Ed's plate meal with Cheese and Bacon fries, which were delicious. It was my first time trying an Ed's chicken burger and I really enjoyed it. The onion rings and coleslaw were also tasty, and I didn't feel too full after finishing my meal. Before we left, my wife wanted another drink and they offered her a takeout cup, which was a pleasant surprise. (See picture for reference)"

"Usually I would buy this weekend the breakfast was awful. The bacon was like cardboard, really, really salty so much so that it affected us the rest of the day with feeling dehydrated. The cappuccino That I ordered came out was in a latte glass with a very milky coffee with chocolate syrup in it. When I queried This I was told this is how they serve their cappuccino. That it’s NOT a cappuccino. Even though the waitress offered to make it as a cappuccino should be I decided to go for a black coffee. Such a shame as Ed’s Is such a great place."

"Excitedly booked at a table for a family meal out on NYE at 6pm. Phoned at 5pm to check parking details only to be told they had decided that morning to close at 5pm. They informed me that this was so staff could leave early on NYE ... Very lovely for the staff! No notification or cancellation had been sent to us, or alternative offered ... who decides to shut their restaurant early THAT DAY when there are bookings already in place, and then doesn't even inform the customers?! Appalling service!"

"booked a week in advance to say to the diner that they did not write when they were closed in two days to be told to wait, and we will be pressed around the cash in 20 minutes, and they were only cash! it was so loud in there not happy when we then rushed and had to find somewhere else before our musical started! let me book a ed’s diner again, kamnon recommended by my sister who visited a ed’s before! to squeeze people, it was ridiculous that it was so hot in there and people could not talk to each other! or have a personal space"

"The service was poor. I wasn't asked if the food is okay or if I need anything else. Also, my plate was chipped in the corner. The service overall was not nice or kind, and they didn't give me the right order (I had cheese missing off fries and I had a sauce which I specifically asked not to have). Despite this, the food was nice. Overall not a very good experience."

"I am unable to review this experience as when we arrived we were told that there was no chef working that day so we wouldn’t be able to have our breakfast. We booked this in advance as we were travelling into Birmingham for an event at the NEC. As if I was my mother’s birthday we decided to go in extra early meet our friends to have breakfast then slowly make our way over to the event. I am very disappointed that, even though we had a table booked, nobody felt it was necessary to inform us that we wouldn’t be able to eat on the restaurant. It ruined my mother’s birthday day out& wasted our time! Extremely disappointed."

"I wouldn't recommend trying to book a table online at Ed's Diner in Peterborough, as the restaurant informed us that they don't receive online reservations and don't expect them. However, they were never too busy to accommodate us, and the dining experience is consistently enjoyable. It's a great value if you sign up for their email notifications, as they send out weekly offers that include 40% off food, and you can also get a free burger or hot dog when you download their app. Additionally, there are other promotions available."
