"We have been coming here for years, but the last time we came (last year) the food was disappointing, so we booked with trepidation, not being confident that it would be a good experience. However, we were very glad that it has largely returned to it’s previous high quality of food and service. 3 of us came for an early dinner, ordering a bottle of house white wine, 1 whitebait and calamari starter to share and then a main course for each of us veal, sea bass and hake with 2 glasses of wine between us The quality of the fish was excellent, while the veal was a little tough in places. The total cost of the meal was £110, so not cheap, but we will be going back again."

"If you want to join the Leon Lovers Club think again! Apart from the staff taking ages to serve because they were too busy chatting with customers, my first experience of Leon Fenchurch Street was very disappointing. I ordered the chilli con carne, which seemed pretty good value for £4.95 until I got it back to my office. There was barely more than a desert spoonful of sauce, which was insufficient for the amount of rice which in turn was not a great deal. Still felt really hungry and wish I had gone to Wasabi for a Katsu curry! Won't be visiting again!!!"

"Fantastic, small, local Italian restaurant. Pizzas and pasta both very much enjoyed by all in our party of 8 (kids and adults), and the puddings were delicious too. Particularly recommend the tartufo pistacchio! Will definitely come again. Mille grazie! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available for up to age 9. Includes main (choice of 3 pasta dishes, pizza or nuggets), drink and ice cream. Portion was a good size for the 6 yr old in our party. Staff were accommodating and interacted with the kids. No activity sheets provided as the bigger chain restaurants do, but we had come prepared with activities anyway!"

"We visited for the Sunday carvery. It was really good, probably one of the best roasts we've had outside of the house. Food was hot, there was plenty of it and service was good even though it was extremely busy. Only thing that was a negative for us, was we were only allowed our table for an hour and a half. I think if you book a table you shouldn't be pressured to leave after an hour and a half and that wasn't explained when I phoned to book. It was a shame as we would of liked to stay for more drinks/coffee etc."

"Even after two previous visits with the most appalling service we tried one final time as the food is good. But, unfortunately after not even being greeted when arriving (there was only one poor person front of house who was no where to be seen on arrival), over an hour and a half wait for food, no apology when the food finally arrived (even though they knew we had asked twice how long the food would be), we left and will never return. The management need to stop understaffing this place, give their staff some proper training in customer service and actually if they’re not going to be working, allow those they trust to run the restaurant in their absence some authority. Sadly, we will never return."

"So stopped in to get my Caribbean fix, as I've been away from home. Now for a few months. I was welcomed by a really friendly hostess, who immediately informed me their CC machine wasn't working and could only take cash, I only came for...takeout so I placed my order with another lovely lady server, excellent service. Oh and the place was packed. I put my order in for my two beef patties and order a vx and coke (usual drink at home), of course in the UK you have to order doubles everywhere, expensive no ras for that. Shoot, my bar at home free poor rum vx and coke and a free poor is over easy. So rip off in my book, plus the Bartender thought he was the coolest thing, the guys has no idea, come to the Caribbean and you'll meet some cool and worthy bartenders. Back to the Patties, well firstly, I'm not sure we're the got fruit patty from but that isn't no Caribbean dish, us persons from the Caribbean want fish, chicken, meat and for Patty, beef! Now for and change you would expect a pretty decent size patty, not today bobo.. Two little patties about the size of my pinky finger, and microwaved hot, not fresh, of and we in the Caribbean don't have Indian curry patties! Becuase that what was given to me. Anyway, the place is busy, from what I observed its definitely not a true Caribbean restaurant, we at home wouldn't serve some of the food they had on the menu. Won't go back to get my fix, sorry such bad review, becuase the hostess and server were fantastic."

"I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I tried the festive menu and enjoyed all the dishes. The server was kind enough to switch my calamari for buffalo wings when I had food envy. They also honored the 2 cocktails for £12 deal, even though it was a weekday offer. The restaurant took all necessary COVID precautions and practiced social distancing, which may have contributed to the quieter atmosphere than usual for this time of year. Typically, there would be a more lively party atmosphere."

"The children ordered spaghetti bolognese, which was a decent Ragu. The pasta was cooked well. My wife had the carbonara, which was also prepared well and the sauce was satisfactory. I chose the Veal Milanese, but unfortunately, the veal was bland and tough, likely not fresh but possibly defrosted. The breadcrumbs were oily, and the spaghetti Napoli was just okay. My daughter tried the supposedly homemade Tiramisu, which was not authentic but more of a creamy cake that tasted alright. In all honesty, the chefs seem to struggle with preparing Italian cuisine. I am puzzled as to how this establishment received a rating of 4.7. People of Cumbernauld, please take note that this is not genuine Italian food; rather, it is food with an Italian influence prepared to an average standard. The staff were pleasant and proficient at clearing tables, but little else. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, service a 1, and atmosphere a 1."

"My mrs had just done a 6 day shift at the hospital so I thought I’d treat us to a Sunday lunch we arrived at 1300 (on a Sunday) and the place was dead. Friendly waitress took us to a table and we ordered drinks then we were told that due to an event they weren’t doing Sunday lunchif we’d been told upon arrival they weren’t doing Sunday lunch we wouldn’t have stayed. The alternatives were terrible, my mrs is vegetarian so she ordered a vegetarian pie with seasonal veg a few minutes after ordering someone came along and asked her if she was vegan or vegetarian as the pie has meat in it. When we asked her what she meant she seemed to not know what vegan or vegetarian meant, she muttered and wandered off. we didn’t see her again, and we still don’t understand what she meant. The seasonal veg was. Over boiled frozen peas and a tiny dollop of mash. Oh and gravy, we couldn’t be bothered to ask if the gravy was vegetarian, but I am 99% sure it wasn’t but she needed it to drown the dry mash and peas. I ordered the mixed grill, it was terrible , if you’ve ever wondered how thin a gammon slice needs to be before it’s just bacon dine here.. the thinest gammon I’ve ever seen, but also the fattiest, a lump of chicken that looked and tasted like it had been boiled, and a steak that was so tough (no steak knife was offered) that I had to ask for some sauce to mask the flavour (I never eat steak with sauce). I can’t be bothered to describe the kids pasta , but he didn’t eat it. My mrs hates it when I make a fuss so I bit my tongue (nicer than the steak lol), but at the end I had to say something and we got our drinks taken off the bill. I also flashed the Mrs’ blue light card and got more off the bill. Disappointed."

"Sat next to this couple who supplied the review pictured. They ordered food. Food served. They got up and left. No word to staff about their alleged complaint! It’s funny that one can sit among a room full of customers all enjoying the food and everything else and they decide it’s the ‘worst Sunday lunch ever’! Our family loved it and so did everybody else. Over 200 x. 5 star reviews against a tiny handful of negatives. Ridiculous referencing Mary whom did indeed do a marvellous job but things have changed. and the food remains top notch!"

"The Masala table at this restaurant is excellent, and the chicken burgers are spot on. The mayonnaise here is my favorite compared to other places. There is plenty of parking available on both the front and side streets for customers to pick up their orders. However, I would advise against becoming a regular eater here due to the fast food nature of the menu."

"Fabulous place to visit. We were staying in our Motorhome which they accommodate with or without electric hookup. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Saved the best to last the Food. We had the ribeye and the lamb duo of lamb both were stunning. The steak was done to perfection and the lamb was tender, the flavour was delicious. We will definitely be stopping by if we are back down this way."

"I got the platter and as stated above it was huge. It had cauliflower wings, huge sweet potato wedges, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, chickpea salad, spicy nuggets which I think were mostly chickpea, and salsa, guacamole and nachos for dipping. Very satisfying. And spicy! It would feed one hungry person or two not so hungry people. There were other vegan and veggie options clearly labelled on the menu too."

"We visited last night for a family birthday. Been before, but not for a while. Four adults and one pre-teen with very specific likes and dislikes! The choice of food was amazing. Specials boards, saver menu, fish, steak, pasta...... It's all there. I had the mushrooms with a cheesy tomato sauce to start, which was gorgeous, and then the fish curry half and half. The chips were gorgeous, and the curry was out of this, world! My husband couldn't make it, so I asked if I could order a takeaway for him. The waitress said that most things could be packed to take away, so I ordered him a chicken curry half and half. Everyone's meals arrived together, and our waitress was attentive but not overly so. We were allowed to eat our meals at our own pace without feeling rushed. My stepdad has dementia, so can take ages to choose and then to eat, but again, we weren't rushed. All agreed the meals were lovely. Nobody could manage dessert, although there were, again, many choices. Our waitress brought out my husband's curry when we asked for the bill, and it was piping hot and well packed. All in all, a hugely enjoyable evening was had by all xx"

"Dine in with friends. The seafood spaghetti and the cod with crab are tasty. However, the service is really bad. -The waiter pour the wine out and made table and pram were wet. -We’ve checked several times with waiters about the main course status because our friends are almost finished their meals) but no any response. Just said they will check but no any update from them. -We waiting for the sides until we finished the main course. We asked 3 times with different waiters and no any response from them until the last asking. The lady said they’ve combined our sides to other friends’ portion. It’s ridiculous. No one tell us that they will combined the sides! And we waited for long time for such stupid things. -Wrong billing I’m so disappointed with the mess services. Will not go again. Response to restaurants reply: It’s shame. May be my reviews make you feeling not good. BUT all my reviews are true! Yes, we booked a table for 12 people but 4 kids and 1 baby included. Thus, we ordered 7 main courses with starters desserts for 7 adults and 1 kids meal and wine. I’m feeling sorry for 2 kids running around our table and we did stopped them once you told us. And I appreciated the lady with black clothes who helping us carried the pram upstairs. She was very kind and helpful. However, the staff who mainly serving our table was not very good. She pour the wine out on the table and the baby pram when she collecting the empty wine cup. For the wrong billing Yes, the first bill was £191 that’s lower then the actual bill. We found it wrong and reported it to restaurant even it’s lower price because that’s not what we ordered. And the 2nd bill was wrong again which was overcharged until the 3rd bill. Actually, not only the mess dish arrangement, one of the main course was not correct but we tried to make it simply and just finished it without any complaints. For the dish arrangement and no any updates response from the staff after we asked, really disappointed. What I feeling? I’m wasted my time for waiting because of the poor arrangement. I keep waiting and asking and get no response whole night. And my kid and I feeling very hungry. Because I still waiting my main course and the side. I was wait for whole dinner, my friends almost finished their meals but I’m still waiting. No any reply after asking, just said they will check until our last asking. Throughout the meal no one asked if the food was ok. Made us feel unwelcome. If anyone asked, may be the things will not become that bad."

"I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. After placing our order, we had to wait over 20 minutes in the parking lot before our food was finally delivered. The kids were starving by the time we got home. To make matters worse, one of the main meals I ordered was incorrectly prepared as a child's portion, and both burger dishes were cold. I recommend double-checking your order to avoid any mistakes."

"When it comes to fast food places, I 've run the gamut of experiences, from being sorely disappointed (certain McDonalds, KFCs and Popeyes) to excellent. Chic-fil-a ranks at the top of excellent experiences. The facility is immaculate, the staff is cheery, knowledgeable and good-humored, and the food is fresh, consistent and delicious! I don 't know why someone else described Chic-fil-a as nugget pushers . While they do serve chicken nuggets, and the best chicken nuggets found anywhere, they also have the best chicken patties, grilled or fried, as well as an awesome breakfast of eggs, sausage, or bacon. Can you get that at Cane 's? NOPE. Can you get fresh squeezed lemonade (Yummm) from real lemons at Cane 's? NOPE. It 's Minutemade from concentrate. Does Cane 's list the calories per serving of every product? NOPE. Chic-fil-a does! Are Cane 's employees at home every Sunday enjoying the company of their family? NOPE. Chic-fil-a 's employees are! Lastly: Cane 's gives EVERYONE the runs. I don 't know anyone who eats there!!!"

"I came back for dinner and dessert in particular was delicious with the vanilla cannoli and honeycomb. The Wellington was good, but not amazing. But I did overhear “normal milk” being offered to the next table. Stop normalising cow’s milk. We came here for dinner. It was nice to see some mocktails which seem to be missing from many London menus. We ordered the courgette flower for an entree. This was delicious but it was only 1 flower. Still it came with a quinoa salad. For my main, I ordered the cordon Bleu which was grilled eggplant with potato gratin and a delicious sauce. This is one of the nicest mains I’ve had so far. My partner ordered the gnocchi which looked a bit small but he liked it. Finally what I’d been waiting for, the tiramisu! Great sized dessert and a lovely flavour without being sickly.
