"I came back to this chicken business with high hopes, but I have several complaints! when I entered this deceitful chicken store, I was not threatened by a bald guy with a dose of red bulle. I could see that chicken wings were prepared. without gloves and by the look of them they did not even come out of a wardrobe! the man behind the counter was so disgusting that he sniffed on the floor and wiped his nose with his hands, only to prepare for eating directly. I asked for chicken wing chips and a stripburger, but the man behind the theke said no and told me he gives me bbq ripen instead (I just like han and chips so I find this offensive for my religion that is scientology) someone else came and took my order also quite rude, but atleast it did not spit in my food, good I hope not. When I took the first bit of my wing, I saw so much red I thought I was in the left arm of the spider man, so I threw the wing away, I took one bit of the chips and they were so cold I think they just got them out of the freeze cabinet, lazy bums. the burger was repulsive, I could say it was processed because it melts like the inner of an car. I gave the food back to the man at the counter, and he swung for me, tried to hit me in the face, I'm happy. I hate this place and I will never come back here again. I went to the doctor and I was diagnosed with ptsd because of this terrible place, 0/10 they get this place away"

"We’ve eaten at La Bistro a good 20 or 30 times now, and as the title suggests, it’s our favourite restaurant in Leeds, not just Horsforth. For context, we are a family of four with two young kids, aged 10 and 7 at the time of writing. Given that background, the things we tend to look for in a restaurant are good food, a nice environment, solid service, consistency and a tendency to cater well for kids (and for me, that’s not simply about having a kids menu; I’ll come back to that later . La Bistro ticks every single box, every single time. First and foremost, the food here is fantastic. For all of us. Personally, I’m a lover of Mediterranean food, though as much as I do try to mix things up, I struggle to get past the meat platter; it’s delicious. The menu leads with a selection of Turkish dishes, everything from hot and cold mezes to Ottoman style seafood, and this is my personal favourite section of the menu. But there’s a lot more on offer beyond that, including a wide choice of pizzas and pastas, steaks, burgers, plus a smattering of Greek favourites like stifado and moussaka. For this reason, it’s always been a go-to whenever we’ve been looking for somewhere for a big family group. We’ve had tables of around 20 adults and children, some fussier than others, and everyone has gone away happy and full. There is something for everyone, even those with certain food intolerances. Kids can choose from a smaller portion of any pizza or pasta (they’re still generous, btw! , or a selection of other options like chicken nuggets. One final word on the food, the early bird deal (which runs from Sunday to Friday until 5pm, I think! , offers two courses for something like £19 is fantastic value. Whilst I’m partial to a calamari starter, my wife loves the desserts! There’s a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. From a personal point of view, I prefer a draft beer as opposed to bottled, however the 500ml bottles of “Efes Draft” are the next best thing. The restaurant itself is modest in size and has a modern, cozy feel. Though the restaurant isn’t massive, there’s ample space between tables, and you don’t feel like you are a top of one another. It’s a nice, relaxing place to be, even when the place is busy. As good as the food is (and it truly is brilliant , what makes this place is the staff. To a person, they are absolutely fantastic. Welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive. Again, no matter how busy it is. Our young daughter gets on like a house on fire with the owner, who is brilliant with both of our kids. Some time ago, my daughter drew a little sketch of him while at the table; to this day, that picture remains pinned on the wall at the back of the restaurant. Just a lovely touch, that delights our little girl every time we go back. Whenever the kids’ birthdays come around, La Bistro is always the place they ask to go. Not TGIs, not Nando’s, not Five Guys. That in itself speaks volumes, for me. A visit to La Bistro is like a warm hug from family. Every single time, bar none, we’ve walked away having thoroughly enjoyed not just the food, but the whole experience. It is consistently excellent. It’s what eating out as a family should be all about."

"Ive eaten here quite a few times and compared to their branch on Northumberland Street this branch is in need of closing down. It is awful. Ive always submitted feedback citing the accumulated dirt clearly visible under the service areas when you're waiting to order...(easily fixed) and that the lights and dirty, broken air-conditioning filters are hanging from the ceiling over the cooking areas (not so easily fixed) along with various hatches left open in the ceiling (easily fixed) leaving dirty unfinished voids accessible for any sort of vermin or dirt. This was my last visit to this unit after paying £16 for 2 regular sized meals (triple cheese and caramelised onion XL) Burger King has always (in my estimation) been a cut above McDonalds and certainly the premium price on their speciality burgers supports this. However, this meal was literally 2 burgers in a bun with some cheese and onions no bacon, no salad nothing else at all. It bears no resemblance to anything on the menu. (I even looked at their website as I was sat there thinking it was really odd- nothing like it exists) I was going to eat it but then started to think, 2 small fries, 2 drinks and 2 dull burgers in a rather firm bun- £16. I decided to return this as I wasn't happy at all. I approached the counter with the tray and stood right by the front very clearly returning something during a very quiet time (Pre- lunch) and was ignored by two staff who appeared to be senior staff (wearing shirts, parading up and down with clipboards) This went on long enough for me to seriously thing about dropping the tray then and there. Luckily I was then approached by a really pleasant guy from the rear. I told him that this doesn't look like anything from their menu and I'm really not happy paying £16 for 2 of these meals. He did say he doesn't know what it was meant to be and really promptly brought us over 2 replacements (which were really among the best and nicest burgers I have had from anywhere My issue with this branch seems to be- Lazy management. The kitchens are untidy, dirty and bits of the ceiling fittings are hanging off by what looks like tape. The kitchen surfaces/ hoods etc are all smeared. Some of these things are not so easily fixed' but if it was clean, tidy and management actually engaged' this branch could fly if they were half as good as the guy who made my second burger. I am not interested in going back ever until the routine simply done by anyone' jobs are complete (ceiling access panels closed, cleaning under the heated service bar, tidying up all the bits of toys etc which are on display in the kitchen rear area and the basic clean/ polish of the bits you can see from the counter. Anyone could do that. Technicians need to come in to fix all of the broken light fittings, broken filthy air conditioning filters etc which are hanging from tape over the food preparation area. EVERYBODY can see these things. If these are the bits they are happy to show us how bad are the bits we cannot see?"
