"I thought I'd try this fish bar one night. It was snowing bad, but the chap rang me and said he would stay open for me, despite needing to go home early because of the heavy snow. Both man and woman were very nice and chatty, very welcoming. I took the meals home and they were very nice. Fish and chips 4 times, loads of chips too. Perfect batter. And to round it off......a discount code on the app. I have returned for more since and will continue to do so. I ignore the Bolsover (where I live) chippies as Calow Fish Bar is so much better and worth the 30 minute round trip"

Dont try a delivery from here it never arrives. They use uber and it just doesn't arrive. Tried messaging the chip shop directly ..no reply View menu

I’ve never had delivery as live local but the food always freshly cooked and is our go to place only slight thumbs down is they shut at 8. The owner always is very helpful

Calow Fish Bar is easily the best fish and chip shop within a five-mile radius: superb quality fish and chips served by the friendliest couple around (they do magic shows too, but as a separate thing). Highly recommended indeed! View menu

Just wanted to give this family-friendly fish and chip shop the thumbs up from me. Tried ordering beforehand and it was very successful. My meal was ready on time, piping hot, delicious and good value for money. Great friendly service. Thank you, keep up the good work. Sue M

I was going to say you'd been lucky if they're open, in fact you'd be unlucky. If they are you wait an age even if you pre order chances are they have given them someone who's walked in and you wait forever for average chips anyway. Calow needs a decent takeaway and this isn't it!
