"I used to really like Skylon it was somewhere you took someone for a special treat a real destination. But times have changed, there is so much more competition around I can’t help feeling that Skylon has faded a little. It still has potential; it still could be great, but on this occasion, it fell short of the mark. Maybe it was just the January blues, or maybe because most people were probably dining on the ES offer menu, but the staff seemed tired and lacking in energy, food service was very slow, and little touches were missing (for example, water wasn’t topped up, and even when we asked, it took over 10 minutes). Our starters were nice almost worth waiting for! and it felt like the mains could have been nice they were well cooked, and generous with ingredients, but all incredibly salty especially the risotto. Such a shame, because this really let it down I managed to eat around half (alongside some bread to offset the saltiness), but then gave up. I hate food waste, so asked if I could take away the rest (a small spoonful with some salad would have done us for lunch the next day). But apparently this is not possible at Skylon... this also shocked me... I’ve not encountered anywhere for a long time which wouldn’t accommodate a “doggy bag” (occasionally places have charged for a box, or occasionally the packaging has been a little makeshift, but people have always been happy to help). As a venue, it’s still nice has a great view, so with a bit of a shake up could be great again, but I won’t go back unless I hear that things have changed."

"First time out to a restaurant since restrictions lifted, and had a blast! The serve from the door to when I was seated was amazing and the serve at the table was very good I can't really flaw it, if I was to be picky I like getting to know my waiters, but I do understand it was a busy night. We opted for set menu in advance which I enjoyed every meal loved the prosecco and the cocktails. The entertainment was great, the singers and the band amazing I had so much fun next time I will hit the dance floor! Haha And will definitely be back and will try the main menu and more cocktails"

"A truly excellent experience from beginning to end. The expert and knowledgeable staff really set this place apart from other nearby pubs. Really delicious food, a wide selection of beers and the wine list is fantastic. It is refreshingly rare to find somewhere whose wine list is so good for those who love natural wine and those who are not so exhausting evangelical about it. "I sat downstairs on a busy Friday night with two friends. The service was perfect. The receptionist was charming. Our waitress was attentive and skilful. We sat at a large communal table. She made helpful suggestions as we chose from the menu, kept our glasses topped up, produced all the dishes on time and was super efficient with our bill. I paid for a bottle of wine and we split the food bill. She gave us 4 separate bills without being asked to. The food was fine, the atmosphere civilised, exactly what you want on a relaxed night out"

"My second visit to this super restaurant. I had to think for a while as to why I liked it so much to return within a week and it's simple; this restaurant has got the balance just right I love the staff (at least the ones I've encountered) who all appear genuinely friendly and eager to please. "I celebrated my mother's 60th birthday at this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was able to bring in a birthday cake and they were very attentive in assisting with it. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. As an added bonus, they even sang a birthday song when they brought out the cake. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for both adults and children."

"nizza seat in the bustling borough market with a standard table n chips. while the distances from 2017 are on the wall, these taste standards are not maintained it is not terrible or bad. simply normal and honest nothing special for the prices on the plus side, service was decent enough and the ambiente of the market around them is great, I would recommend this if they really need a seat, but otherwise there are better decisions on the market."

"Very disappointed with the lady in the cut off tracksuit bottoms and scuffed primark pumps. Upon ordering and walking due to no delivery drivers we were then given the incorrect order. Only realising once we were home it was too late and far to recollect. We called and the gentleman offered us our missing burger and one complimentary burger. The following day we collected our good will gesture food that was accompanied with a free drink each too. Once we had a warm welcome, we then waited for our burgers. A waitress then questioned if we had paid, and continued to joke and laugh about our 'free burgers ' that had been paid for the previous day. She bluntly asked if we had paid and loudly mocked in the kitchen how we were given free food. We then arrived at our next destination for our day, we bumped in to the same waitress at a local bar who shouted across for everyone to hear about how 'these girls are for free '. This was embarrassing and made us feel that we had asked for something we weren 't already owed. Very unprofessional and improper for a host. A bad representation for a business."

"fade street social had a few different dining rooms, one that on fade street, another that has a look at the kitchen and I also think others upstairs (I didn't eat at the tables above) I was a few times. the service is always excellent, eating amazing (more in a second) with a wine list that compliments what they want to eat, there are also many beer options and cocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious! now eat that. if you go, you have the chateaubriand! while eating is great, the chateaubriand is phenomenal. don't even think about it. share one of their chateaubriand with whom they are with and try to be polite when they are down on the last disc or not be and take it for themselves! if they still have burst, the pavlowa is the way to dessert"

"on Friday the sun is immersed here and we have tied a fished, we have a table fast as I think most people were stunned themselves. the retention point was approx. 3/4 full. the service was very fast our 2 fish chips came along with brotbutter with 2 pots tee, within 5/10 minutes. the fish was a great great part, not served their une tiddler or half portions at another place.
