"Very good food, definitely a step above the standard gastro pub food in London. Friends had the shared steak (looked great) and we shared the pie and the duck. Very clearly this place is not just serving the classics and instead gives variety to its accompaniments, which coupled with well executed meats sets them apart from most. The venue was nice, if not quite similar to competitors in the area and Good crowd for a Saturday. If I was to find a flaw, the bar service could definitely be better. Not rude, just a bit slow and disinterested. Overall very good experience"

We came here with a group of friends and were really pleased to see so many gluten-free options available. The pork belly was divine!

This is probably the best place to drink and eat in Islington. Their beer garden around the back is cosy and intimate, all staff are friendly and attentive. We had someone of the best food here. The upstairs is beautiful and large. Dog friendly as well, so take your four legged friends along

We absolutely adore everything about Draper's Arms for Sunday lunch! The ambiance is wonderful and the food is exceptional. My dad used to be disappointed by Sunday lunch until we found Draper's Arms. Now we all can't stop talking about it. The staff is incredibly helpful and we always feel well taken care of. View menu

Five adults and an 18 month old all had a fabulous lunch in this lively pub. The service was excellent and the food was exactly what we all wanted. Sunday roast , pork belly , Mackerel and one Suet crust pie. We all enjoyed our food and the deserts topped off a boozy family get together. Just what we all wanted. Well done to all at the Drapers.

Saturday alfresco lunch with my visiting rural aunt was a triumph. The setting is great, the service is friendly and professional and the menu is diverse and appealing. My husband enjoyed the onglet steak with chips, while my aunt and I shared small plates of deliciousness. The burrata with marinated cherries and hazelnuts was so damn delicious. The red prawns are deservedly expensive and a dainty treat. Fab!

I booked a table for 8 for my daughters birthday 4 of us ordered the leg of lamb what turned up was 4 lamb chump steaks dry and cold with reheated potatoes, so as not to cause a scene I complained via e-mail the next day , Rosie who answered my e- mail offered me a refund I accepted the refund which 1 month later I am still waiting for , the food was diabolical which is completely in synch with the customer service View menu

This pub restaurant boasts probably the most extensive wine list around. Their Sunday roast is a crowd favorite, offering a choice of roast belly pork, roast beef, chicken, and quinea fowl, served with roasted potatoes, green and purple cabbages, and carrots. For dessert, I highly recommend the toffee pudding, although the chocolate nemesis also looked tempting. If you're having trouble deciding on a wine, they also offer a selection of beers and soft drinks. Enjoy your meal!

I hadn't been to this gastropub in 8 years, but I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements. My partner and I made a reservation for lunch on New Year's Eve, where we enjoyed delicious roasts. You even have the option to pre-order whole chickens, and the staff will send you the menu in advance. I opted for the standard roast beef, which was anything but standard - it was served in generous portions alongside tender potatoes and a fluffy Yorkshire Pudding. The tables were well spaced out and the staff was attentive, so I will definitely be coming back.
