"the service was bad and the staff came as arrogant. at the arrival I have the personal over head (and saw them roll their eyes) on a customer who had the boldness to complain about a cocktail. we had to have the staff wait 20 minutes. parts of the tasting menu have been missed. for the price this was not a pleasant experience."

"here for Christmas moms. beautiful restaurant, but on a Tuesday evening at the beginning of December was in the grunde empty, only one table taken, although another table later taken in the night. presumably in comparison to bogaz in the moulsham street and eating was just as good. this restaurant is located directly in front of the actual center of chelmsford, but is recommended to visit."

"Newly opened we were warmly welcomed and shown to an excellent table in the window area. First impression was the tables are well spaced so private discussion is easily achieved. The menu concentrates on fish although meat dishes are available. There were 5 of us dining and we were treated to some superb cooking with not a single complaint from my normally critical colleagues who ordered a variety of dishes. All the fish, whether Bream, Sea Bass or Giant Prawns were cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was muted as, having just opened to the public, it is not widely known yet. This will change as the standard of cooking and service were outstanding and I would unhesitatingly recommend it."

"Great evening, nicely spaced tables, friendly staff, food good. The one issue I had was with the quid in the main dish….there were a couple of long thin strands of clear ribbon type substance which caught in my throat…thought it may be something left from the quid cleaning/prep that should have been removed??…. But that said it was a good evening following a long shop in Oxford st!!.."

"Hubby and I have had breakfast in there past few weeks after Tesco shopping. The service is exceptional, the staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and kind. The pina colada cocktails are fab and tasty made by Jess (I believe. Ben who served us was a lovely guy as others are but unfortunately not sure of their names. Food tastes delicious. The eggs are top quality and bacon lovely and tender. Think it will be a regular visit now. Well done everyone"

"Have visited Palatino several times when it first opened and enjoyed its authentic Roman dining and modern setting. This time wasn’t as successful and I doubt that I will return. Our server was fantastic and very knowledgable on the menu which needs some explaining. However, the food was so salty it was difficult to eat. We managed, but we were so hungry by that time. Everything was salty, even the side of rocket. The waitress was fabulous and apologised and they gave us a small discount but someone needs to reign in the salt in the kitchen. Also the room was nearly empty and lacking in atmosphere and this was on a friday night. Sadly. I can’t see this place lasting much longer and I will miss the Cacio e pepe which this time as per the other dishes was very salty. It’s a shame."

"My wife and I have been here a few times over the years and always had a good experience, but sadly not this time. We decided to have lunch here on Sunday, 15 October. Although the food was good the service was very poor. One member of staff appeared to have a lot that he wanted to say to his colleagues. As they were stood within earshot of our table we couldn't help but overhear everything that was being said, which is not conducive to a pleasant dining experience. We have no interest in hearing about his latest staff appraisal, or anything else that was on his mind. We were offered the menu to choose a dessert, but even though we waited for a considerable amount of time the waiter did not return to take our order. In the end we had to interrupt the chat that was going on behind the bar to request the bill. We removed the 12.5% service charge from our bill as the service was so poor. Disappointing, as we had previously enjoyed coming here on previous visits. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. Also, the hand dryer in the gents WC wasn't working so I would suggest leaving some paper towels out until you get it working again."

"We had an afternoon tea here this week, and it was absolutely perfect! They offer all the British classics, served in an elegant setting by very professional and friendly staff. I couldn't ask for more if you're looking for a lovely afternoon in the heart of London. My favorites were the hearty scones and the rich, dense chocolate mousse cake. There's so much delicious food at a very reasonable price—I can't recommend this place enough!"

"Why have I not gone here before? My wife took me out for a birthday dinner and I chose this place as somewhere new to try. It's in a great location just opposite the Playhouse Theatre and very close to Princes Street. What a great...choice! The food was excellent and every dish was beautifully presented. I'm sure it's all good but we loved the whitebait, calamari, octopus, pork cheeks, Spanish black pudding and salad with grilled goats cheese. We had dishes between us, portions were decent and good value for such quality food. The staff were really friendly and even sang me happy birthday and brought me a wee cake. The atmosphere was great and it felt like everyone was having a happy night out. Just what we all need in these difficult times. Thanks La Sal for a great experience!! We'll be back."

"Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Chester! The food is excellent, I have never had a steak so juicy and well cooked. The selection of sauces and choice on the menu is impressive, it's great to have a dipping session with like 5 sauces. The service was great and the staff who served us were so relaxed and friendly. All this for a great low price. Cannot sing their praises enough. BEST RESTAURANT IN CHESTER!"

"Absolutely gone downhill massively AVOID! Have been a regular here for a while, the last time I came was shocking service with 2 items of food (one being pizza for children forgotten by the kitchen manager apologised and removed service charge after I queried. This time is actually the LAST STRAW ! Went with 2 children. Asked for pizza with half mushroom (apparently they don 't do halves even for children!?! ... Fine. Asked for the kids pizza to come with starters. Starters came and were finished, with the kids now full because their food hadn 't arrived. Kids pizza came, I said I didn 't want it anymore and the waitress said she 'll take it back... Only when the apparent owner came in an aggressive type manner and said why don 't you want it, what shall I do with it . I explained I wanted it with the starters and the waitress acknowledged it, and he didn 't care. Will not be returning to this place and urge others not to either. It went through a down period previously and picked up again. Maybe this is another down period and should be closed for good especially if that 's the owner 's attitude... Even though the starters were OK!"

"Went for dinner and great food and service. Lovely ambience and comfortable. Fabulous location just off Oxford Street and reasonable prices. Would be good if flatbread offered instead of the more thicker bread which was nice. Not so keen on a 'voluntary ' contribution of £1 for Turkey Syria food relief added on to bill and then included in the 12.5% service fee. Charitable donations should not be forced upon diners this way."

"Excellent meal; good choice of dishes, beautifully cooked and presented by Head Chef, Jonny and Sous Chef, Tom using locally sourced ingredients. Great ambience, a real gem of a locally run family business with Jill Ian (Mum Dad) working effortlessly at front of house to ensure professional service and they also enjoy a good rapport with clientele. A very special place plus Riverbarn has rooms to stay too, so great for special occasions!"

"filz the cocktails and drinks series were good and worth for money starters flatbreads were nice and fast to use sad, the sirloin steaks (the whole reason for going) were not good cuts of meat and very fat staff apologized, but nothing was changed. they were cooked on request and the sauce, veg were nice, but it was the cut of the flesh itself, that was very bad for sirloin would not go back from this ground"

"Such a lovely experience. Went for a meal with my friend and it was her first time going and she loved it. The hummus plate was delicious as always and so was the hanging chicken kebab. The staff was lovely and service was very quick. Our server Kieran was wonderful any questions we had he answered straight away. Just a wonderful experience."

"Updated Lovely food, great service from friendly and efficient staff. Prices are fair. Whats not to like, defo going back. That was my review from 2 years ago. Not been since due to living abroad so a visit was a must. How things change. Although the food was slow in coming that wasnt the issue, it was cold on arrival. Portion size was definitely smaller, especially the rice. We had to order extra rice and was shocked at the price and the less than half a cup portion size. That portion was a joke right !!!! For what you get and for the overall portion sizes .. it was well overpriced. It was busy with parties and celebrations so I guess they are now catering for large groups, which is a shame. "Cozy Persian restaurant in central London, all food homemade by the lady owner who makes different specials every day. Delicious stews for cold weather and refreshing Persian drinks. Try their Salad Olivieh, falafel and Kashk e bademjan for starters. It's great. I love when I'm lucky enough to come on a day when they have tahchin. It's so good! I feel like some of he reviews here is just nonsense, if you want cheap food go to another Iranian restaurant further away from W1 or McDonald's 3 minutes away. And writing post it notes and leaving on your plate? Come on. It's not high school! If you're unhappy with your food you tell your waiter. Highly recommended. Very generous portions and good priced to be in a expensive neighborhood like Marylebone."
