"The food was incredible and the service was excellent. I ordered the shrimp appetizer and the filet Signor Sassi, both of which were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the parmesan cheese and olives that were served before the meal instead of bread. It was a great option for someone like me who cannot eat bread or wheat products."

"Service was rubbish. We had to ask more than once) for the table to be propped up, salt/pepper, chilli oil and even a coating of Parmesan cheese. They weren’t even busy. Worthy of note I’ve been here before) the more experienced maître d was not on duty. My seafood linguine was bereft of both clams scallops, without me being informed the calamari was chewy). I brought it to the waiters attention. He checked inside, presumably with the chef, and he came back and told me “that’s correct, there are no clams or scallops”! Very poor show amateur at best. I got a £4 discount on the bill but clearly this wasn’t the point or indeed any way near adequate. Would I go back? Probably not."

"STAY AWAY!! Terrible customer service, just like the other negative reviews say. I planned a brunch at Smiths Bar Grill with Sintillate. It was advertised as a 90-minute all-you-can-eat-and-drink event. My guests arrived on time but were told they had to order food within 30 minutes as last orders were at 4pm. After waiting for 20 minutes, they were only served water. They ended up leaving because of the poor service and strange atmosphere caused by the rushed ordering timeframe. It completely ruined the birthday celebration. To make matters worse, when I complained via email, the management did not apologize or take responsibility. The manager even falsely claimed we had 60 minutes to order food (which is not true) and still not the promised 90 minutes of bottomless food and drink. The customer service was hostile, and the manager even hung up on me during a call to discuss the situation. They did not refund the deposit and made me feel like I was the problem. Overall, a complete lack of customer service and hostility. It's best to avoid this place and book elsewhere where you will be welcomed with open arms."

"We had lunch at Smith’s. It’s one of those places where you enter and the first impression is mind blowing. The renovated building is beautiful and the location is quite unique, just by the river in Paddington basin area. The vibe when you walk in is great. Despite it being really busy, the service was super fast and efficient. And very friendly. We had the seasonal set menu and it was real good very convenient. There is an extensive selection of wine with a professional sommelier that can help you choose the right one for you, overall it was a magnificent experience."

"This restaurant is better than average but not the top choice in the area. The food is good, but not extraordinary or exceptional. The pizza base was overly salty and the toppings were haphazardly placed - some parts were bare while others had too much. The pasta was decent. It was nice to see the owner/manager spending time on the floor chatting with diners, but it could be toned down a bit."

"not many restaurants were open on Christmas. we found this restaurant on open table and it was a pass of richmond. we loved the cozy atmosphere. it was the perfect intimate Christmas dinner. the owner/host was absolutely delightful. the service and the hospitality were excellent. the food was beautifully presented and was delicious. try the homemade focaccia. it was a great value and 100% delightful."

"The food was good but the service was poor from one member of staff. Our order was taken professionally by a young lady with a dark pony tail (no problem with this lady). We had ordered tap water which did not appear so I collected a jug myself. We had also ordered olives and bread to share between 4 of us. The olives arrived promptly but with no bread. After a further 10 minutes I went to the counter and asked the other lady with fair hair about the bread. She just curtly replied “Yes” with no apology. She eventually sauntered over to the kitchen area to get It. We then realised we needed small plates to dip our bread into the oil and balsamic vinegar. When requested these were casually served in an abrupt manner. The restaurant was very quiet so there was no excuse for this. Our main courses were served politely by a bearded gentleman. It was just the one lady who spoilt our lunch. Maybe there is a language problem."

"The Italian restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience, from the welcoming staff to the delicious food. The friendly and welcoming staff is always a great way to start a dining experience. The restaurant places a high value on customer satisfaction, which is always a great sign. The special starter mushrooms in tomato sauce with cheese sounds like a great way to start a meal. The combination of mushrooms, tomato sauce, and cheese creates a rich and savoury flavour. However, I am not a fan of tomato sauce, so if you are in the same boat as me, consider ordering something else. The Ravioli alla Carbonara is a delicious main course. The combination of stuffed pasta with guanciale and creamy eggs in a Parmesan sauce topped with crispy pancetta sounds like a perfect blend of flavours and textures. The parmesan sauce can sometimes be salty, but I enjoyed the dish. Lastly, the Tiramisú al Pistacchio is the perfect way to end the meal. Pistachio mascarpone cream, coffee, and Savoyard biscuit create a delicious and unique twist on the classic tiramisu. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience with a great ambience and service. It's great to see that the restaurant values customer satisfaction, and it's worth considering for anyone looking for a great Italian restaurant."

"This is the only three course afternoon tea I have ever experienced! First we were served an amuse bouche of a savoury muffin with an apple sauce injection interesting without being outstanding. Then a plateful of savoury dishes, including finger sandwiches, a lovely prawn...roll and savoury tarts. Then the sweet dishes including magnificent scones with lemon curd, and a fantastic selection of small cakes. There is an option for a slice of dry cake thereafter, but by then you never feel like eating again! An interesting selection of teas which are topped up as required. Service very good without being overbearing. The room itself is a bit OTT, all mirrors, gold leaf and frescoes, which is fine for a couple of hours, but you do have the feeling of dining in the sistine chapel. It is good, but it is not cheap at per head. It is a great experience, but overall I just felt there was not one outstanding cake or sandwich to remember."

"The best restaurant for us gourmets for over years. As far as the food and drinks are concerned, we were never disappointed here. Friends, to whom we recommended Apple's restaurant, were also very enthusiastic. Very personable and constant staff. When we come here it's a little like coming home ... with the advantage that WE are pampered. As long as we stay in Hamburg, this restaurant will remain our regular restaurant!"

"Sadly our experience wasn’t particularly positive. We were looking forward to a nice evening out. The service was incredibly slow. They were slow to take our order, our wine was placed on a service table nearby but not actually given to us or opened until we asked after a protracted time. We waited almost an hour for our main courses and 30 minutes for our desserts. The service mostly consisted of the waiting staff apologising for the waiting times. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the waitress explained they were short staffed. We had steak which was lovely meat but was over cooked from how we’d ordered it. We didn’t send it back as we’d waited so long for it. We waited again for plates to be cleared and waiting staff didn’t circulate much, preferring to stay at their base at a desk near the kitchen, so we couldn’t ask for more water to be provided. We ended up taking the jug ourselves from the service area. The staff did take off the cost of the desserts without us asking as a gesture to apologise for the waits but did add drinks to the bill we hadn’t ordered or received. It does seem from other reviews that our experience doesn’t match with others so maybe we caught them on a bad night."
