"What ever you do don't go to this restaurant. I booked a table at 7 pm on Saturday 2nd off April for my wife's birthday as soon as we got there the staff told us they didn't have half the menu. I said can I still have a surf and turf they said they didn't have lobster but we can have a prawn on top off steak for same price as lobster. I told them that your menu on Internet says it comes with lobster the staff said that was old menu and shouldn't be on there .we walked out and went 2 doors along to a tai restaurant had brilliant meal so what ever u do don't book for a meal here manager should be sacked very rude"

"We booked early at 6:30pm mid week. We were greeted very pleasantly and shown upstairs to a table. The restaurant was already half full. The service, however was slow. The server omitted to to tell us about the special . The menu had a heavy bias towards fish which we expected but seemed rather pricey. When the server arrived , I asked about the special, which was sea bas on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a decoration of green bits for £24. Unfortunately the ceiling is low the floor is hard, so the result is excessive noise. There was a party of raucous young men and as the restaurant filled up, the noise got worse. At times I struggled to hear what my husband was saying across the table. The food was piping hot and mine was nicely presented. My husband had battered fish chips, the chips served in a chipped enamel pie dish. When the bill arrived, my meal was £28 not £24., I could not be bothered to quibble about it, so we paid left. Overall I think it’s trying to be trendy, without succeeding., without enough attention to detail. The staff were barely coping we’re running up down stairs. There was only one server with help from a young man downstairs. For the size of restaurant, this is inadequate. The prices do not justify the quality overall it felt like “ rip off the tourist” time in a short season."

"We had a lovely evening at the restaurant, and the staff were wonderful. It was my daughter's birthday, and they brought out our cake and dimmed the lights at just the right moment, which was a nice touch. There were six of us dining, and while one dish—the tomato sauce of the goat cheese ravioli—was a bit too salty, the pizzas and other main courses were all well enjoyed. We also had a voucher for 30% off the mains, which made the meal even more affordable. Overall, I would definitely consider booking here again; it’s a nice place!"

"One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. The moules marinerre had me scraping the bowl for the last of the broth/sauce, both it and the bisque were so warming and comforting with the bread making a perfectly buttery accompaniment for dipping/mopping. Ideal for a cold winters evening. The skate in lobster butter for main was unbelievable, the skate was as moist and delicate as the sauce was decadent (not to mention it being a very generous portion). Even the desserts were delicious, in particular the sorbet which was lovely and refreshing after such a hearty starter and main. These are the meals you dream of when going to a seaside town. Everything was cooked to perfection, lovely staff and ambience. I can't praise this place enough."
