"What a lovely place. Think it was busier in it's hey day but then people are missing out on a great thing. Authentic, tasty, great portions of Thai cuisine. Think the house wine was strong as only managed 1.5 glasses but was merrier for it. Window seat taken. Watched the rain, my other halfs lovely face and people passing. A few popped heads in and asked for Wendy. She wasn't there so they passed by. Their total loss!! Once again, what a lovely place!! Top notch rating from me, even with the plastic table clothes"

"I have just had lunch at this pub after an absence of about 6 years and there used to be a fantastic Thai restaurant attached to this. I came in hoping to re live old experiences. The place was deserted and it was a Friday lunch time, that should have been a clue. OMG, what an appalling disappointment. The menu was pan Asian now and I ordered 'the Korean mixed fried rice '. They were basically trying to do a Korean bibimpap. A very simple dish to put together) What was offered was ridiculous meal put together by someone who clearly does not know how to cook. It was a bowl of 'boiled rice ' jasmine with some julienned carrot and 'cucumber ' placed on top, with some pre cooked prawns from the supermarket and a bit of Kimchi and a fried egg on top practically inedible , I left most of it and told them I was really disappointed and why , they didn 't disagree and were polite but did not offer any kind of refund. The total cost of my meal was just over £15 with a small draft diet coke. terrible value for money for an almost inedible meal) avoid like the plague for the food."

"Toro Noodles offers delicious food that I have enjoyed multiple times with family and friends. However, my visits have been less frequent due to a discouraging experience with one of the older staff members, who appears to be around 40 years old. This staff member consistently portrays a cold demeanor, never smiles, and barely acknowledges customers when spoken to. He particularly seems to exhibit disdain towards mothers with strollers, as he has indicated there is no room for them even when the restaurant is not busy. The lack of customer service and unpleasant attitude of this individual detracts from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience at Toro Noodles. It is perplexing why someone like him is employed at this establishment."

"I went with my Friend who was visiting from London. To start with they got our searing preference wrong despite booming 2 weeks in advance. I had fish cakes as a starter which is the worst I've had to date. It was very rubbery. My friend did not like her Chicken satay starter it was very bland. Then I had the Green curry which looked new baby poo poo. It had nice coconut and very cream. I've been to numerous Thai restaurants over the years this by far the worst. My friend was able to ask for a discount which was granted. We were very disappointed. I would never venture there again. They really need to sake the chef! And invest in a proper Thai Chef."

"Was unsure of what to order and the staff were nice and recommended certain items on their menu. In the end, opted for the quesadillas, which were honestly the best I’ve had. The quesadillas came with tortilla chips and sour cream sauce with sauce el verde. The interior of the store was stunning and there was a good amount of seats in the seating area. Will definitely visit again to try out more of the menu."

"We stayed two nights upstairs at the Clerk and Well, and had a VERY mixed experience. We arrived a bit early and had lunch, with our luggage next to our table at the bar server 's direction . The staff seemed resigned to helping us, as if we were interrupting their day. Except for the manager, who was very very nice indeed. Lunch was pretty standard pub food and was quite good. When we went up to our room, we had to go outside, enter a separate door from the pub and go up 40 quite narrow and steep stairs. Luckily, the staff took our heavy luggage up. The room was quite nice fairly large for a London hotel and lots of outlets always crucial . BUT There were two of us. The breakfast supplied was: 1 yogurt, 1 muffin, 1 fruit cup, 1 milk, and 1 orange juice. We were told we could request more. There was no outlet in the bathroom except for a shaver, and our converters would not work in it. On the morning we left, I went downstairs at 9 AM to get some assistance with our luggage; I assume they had a lift in the back for such thing. Also, I wanted to check out. But the pub was closed and there was no help nor a number to contact, so our luggage went down the stairs like sleds. We have stayed in hotels and pubs all over England so we 're accustomed to the problems with old buildings narrow stairs, etc.. In short good food, good pub, nice room, mediocre service."

"This restaurant is a unique spot that offers Thai Asian street food that is fresh and healthy. The open kitchen takes up a large part of the space, allowing customers to see their food being prepared. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including tofu, vegetables, and rice. I tried the spicy box and the spicy potatoes, both of which were seasoned with a dry rub sauce that didn't quite hit the mark for me. The portion sizes were a bit small for the price, but the lunch menu was reasonably priced. While some Asian restaurants may use the health label as a gimmick to charge more, this restaurant focuses on cooking quality food. The biggest downside is the price, but overall it's worth a try."

"Wow I eat Thai all the time. In fact I’d eat it morning noon and night, everywhere I got I haven’t ever experienced all three dishes packing such a punch. It was so flavoursome they all needed to be individual dishes instead of all together. Hands down best flavour Thai I’ve ever tasted and I’ve been around. So glad I’ve found you! The man at the restaurant Howard when asked if they would be stopping other deliveries requests from Just East being made said it was not their problem if other people did not get their ordered food too. "My partner and I use to go to this restaurant quite a lot before covid and always enjoyed ourselves, good food, drinks and the service. Not much has changed for us in that respects except now there was only one lady taking orders etc. There was about 10 people in the restaurant and she seemed to serve everyone in an orderly fashion, we didn't have to wait too long for the food to come and it was delicious, our main was great, I had the green Thai Curry, and my partner had the crispy seabass, excellent, we couldn't finish it all and took the rest home. We enquired as to how the business was going and she said it is now starting to pick up, they had 20 staff at one point but after Covid had to let them go. It made me sad to see the other bad reviews on here as this place is worth a visit, not sure what happened when those visits were made but our experience was great. Gave four stars because they weren't serving Cocktails, but this was easily fixed as there are two cocktail bars along Westow Hill."
